When I called, I explained I needed three rooms. I was told that they would all be the same price and I agreed to the price for each room for three nights August 14 August 17. Instead of booking all three rooms at the same price at the same time, Mae proceeded with the scam of doing one room at a time immediately taking her time and raising the price when she finally was about to charge the room I told her that was not the price she said at the beginning of the conversation. She said well that's the price now. She said she would book that room first. I asked her why she would not book all three rooms at the same time since they were the same price and I was paying for all three rooms. She said this is the process which is a scam! She then went onto the second room and took her time going through the process of repeating everything she had said about the first room and then when she got to the Total, it was about $100 more than what she had quoted me for all three rooms. I told her I would not pay that because it's not the price she quoted she said let me check and then dropped it about $50 and then I was OK to proceed even though I was very frustrated with the fact I felt I was being scammed. She went onto the third room and again took her time getting through the process and said the rooms were no longer available so the price went up another hundred dollars. I told her that that's it! Cancel all the rooms I will not be scammed. This is extremely unprofessional And I will never stay at your hotel! She then said the reservation had already gone through and I could not cancel it. I said it only been 10 minutes and she said that is the process and I told her I was going to call my credit card company and I want the rooms canceled and no charge to my credit card. She said OK don't worry, sir. I'll cancel them. You don't have to worry she said then I called my credit card company and a charge for almost $1500 had gone through so she lied and the scam was underway! This is without a doubt the worst experience I've ever had in my 40 years of traveling! I will tell everyone about my experience with the Edgewater hotel!

He never advised me of a cancellation option and wrote it was given. Additionally I told him had a reservation for the 29,30 and first and sync with my new 28th. He said would and it was not done. Terrible way to due business

Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
