They charged me over $160 of fees and taxes. I attempted to cancel within 3 minutes of booking, as I received the email breakout with details, and they refused to refund me.
Committed fraud on my credit card. Blatant fraud. Do not give them any credit card number...especially a debit/bank card.
Again, I must have been half-awake, and do not know how I went from the hotel site to them. I paid $25 service fees and another $71 Fees and Taxes. This was for a two night stay at Red Roof Inn in Herkimer, NY. There are so many choices for hotel booking and most of them are honest brokers except Reservatiuons.com. Be aware.
Don't. Use. Them.
Worst customer service/worst experience. Deserve zero stars if that was an option.
They charge hidden fees much higher than the hotels site and do not refund reservations even if they are booked in the last half hour.horrible and beware! Cheaters
First of all, I thought I was making a reservation directly on the hotel website, it was not clear how I ended up with the "reservations.com", obviously it was hidden. Secondly, Hotel location on the Location Map was shown much closer to the beach then it actually was. My card was charged immediately, after I pressed a button "processing", I was alarmed at that point, even though it stated- "Free Cancellation". After checking hotel location on the other maps, I decided to cancel this reservation, total time of reservation 30 min. I was surprised when cancelation directed me to "reservation.com" website. Rreservation.com web informed me of non-refundable service fee in an amount of $136.53. After talking to an agent, and lots of persuasions, he promised a full refund in 7-10 business days, including refund of $136.53 "service fee", but I believe when I see it. I will keep you updated... to be continued...
I thought I was booking a room directly with Holiday Inn but somehow ended up on this site. Not told there was a fee or you couldn't get a refund if cancelled. With Covid I would have never booked on a site you couldn't get a refund.much less a fee!
This site adds bogus service charges and did not allow me to change a reservation with 2 minutes of accidentally making. Will never use again and stopped payment on charges.
Deliberate obfuscation of hidden fees, currency and refund policies.
I would give them zero stars if I could.
Book with a reputable company or directly with a hotel, not this scammer business from Florida.
Due to health problems we could not make a trip at the time we had reserved. Called two weeks before, no cancellation. Had to let someone else take our room. Do not book here!
Do not use this business. It is a scam.
On a $103 hotel room charge, I incurred additional charges of $38.80 plus $15.99. When I asked about the charges, I was told the $38.80 was for taxes and hotel fees. The $ 15.99 was for the reservation fee. I was also told the pet fee was $25 to be paid directly to the hotel. The pet fee was $75. Beware!
They say they are the party you wish to make reservation with (eg: Marriott). They evade questions about other services you are interested in (eg: airport extended parking) & apply pressure persistently to make reservation before questions are answered. When you realize what they've done & try to cancel, they refuse. When you appeal they insist on non-refundable/non-cancellation that you agreed to having been under the impression that it was included in your reservation. Finally they give you a phone number to call the hotel front desk. If you get caught in this trap dispute the charge with your credit card company.
Here's some helpful tips.
1. Use "Duckduckgo" for your search. They don't have "reservations.com". They have another site but it looks like it doesn't charge nearly as much. Nonetheless, don't use any of those sites. Just go to the hotel website.
2. Avoid reservations.com They are basically charging you $75 for nothing.
3. Even if you accidentally book via their site, like I did, and you cancel, they will still charge you $19.99. They are a terrible company and should be sued.
Thanks,
Rodney (accidental sucker)
I used this site to book a work trip and when it was cancelled, I called to cancel the reservation only to find out that it is non refundable. There was no information that I saw that noted if I made the reservation through them I wouldn't be able to get it refunded. NOT A GOOD COMPANY AT ALL!
They charge you a $20 fee on top of the listed price ON TOP OF THE LISTED TAXES & 'FEES'! …and, of course, they will not refund it even if you cancel the transaction!
This is also a FOREIGN company/transaction! Just do NOT use them… you can get the same/better price elsewhere. I needed a hotel and got a BETTER deal directly with them.
Booked a room, and called to cancel within 7 min, emailed as well. Was told reservation was cancelled and monies will be refunded. Week later no refunds, after a lot of calls and arguments w refunds asked to have reservations to be reinstated or give us a refund. Don't have both. Horrible rude offshore customer service. WATCH OUT. THIS IS THE. WORST SITE EVER..
They lied about shuttle service, lied about fee for parking, lied about breakfast. When we called, played games of not being able to hear us. Just horrible, never again. Missed our flight had to get a taxi.
This company is a complete scam! You'll prepay for an unavailable room and be left to sleep in your car.
After an exhausting day, we finally attempted to check into a hotel we booked thru this website. The hotel had no record of our booking even though we had a confirmation email from reservations.com. We called them and we were put on an enormously long hold. We were so tired that we booked a room directly with the hotel. Finally, they came back from their hold and stated they would refund us our money except $20 for whatever reason. My husband was so tired from the ordeal that he didn't hear why and just hung up. What a horrible experience…stay away!
I did not like the fact that they put pressure on you by putting a timer of 15 minutes to make your decision in order to put some extra urgency in the reservation. However the worst was extra fees that were added afterwards. I live in Canada so there is a 13% tax applicable...but there were Taxes & Fees AND an additional $19.99 'service fees' on top of the fees that were charged with the taxes. Totally outrageous!
Next time I will call the hotel directly to book with them instead of doing business with those pesky reservation companies!
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
