I booked a reservation through reservations.com (thinking it was the hotel site) at 7:20 AM one morning. When I got the confirmation, I realized I had booked the wrong date, and call them immediately (less than 1 hour), I worked my way through the telephone menu and spoke to a representative. After holding, the representative told me they called the hotel, but could not reach a decision maker. They promised to call me back, after following up with the hotel.
Surprise, no callback was made. I checked again 3 days later, and the status was the same. The representative told me the follow-up team would get back to me. She was unable to transmit copies of their internal notes, which confirmed the above. As I was unable to talk to the follow-up team; the representative suggested I email them. When I told her that was unsatisfactory, she said email the escalation team.
I realize the representative was following protocol, but protocol for this company is apparently to take the money and run.
Terrible customer service and totally inflexible system. Had to modify reservations to cancel one of three nights. They had to cancel the total reservation and rebook. They then told us the rooms were not available for nights we already had previously reserved. Proceed using them at your own risk especially if you might need to make any changes.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They messed up my dates, never sent a confirmation email and charged my card. Customer service was no help - "said there is nothing we can do" even though the resort said they would not charge. They were a 3rd party vendor I got pushed to through Expedia, so be careful - Expedia is good, this vendor is terrible and I let Expedia know about the issue.
I had get a free hotel voucher from Reservation. Com. They told me that if I want to reserve a hotel, I need to sent a mail to their company 21days before the due date and wait for their reply in 3 days. However, I had sent 4 mail to this company since 18 May and I didn't get any reply. I finally get their reply on 31May. Unfortunately, they reply me that the hotel are currently fully booked for the month of June & July.On top of that, my voucher will be expired on 7 July.So is it their responsibility to told me that I'm not afford to have a hotel in this two months? After that, I had sent 2 mail to complain about this matter but I still didn't get any reply till now.
So I booked our family vacation with the belief that I was booking directly with the resort. The representative that booked our room said we could cancel our reservation any time before a certain date. I asked for a 2 bedroom condo on the beach for the 4 of our family members. They were suppose to email the itinerary, but I never received it. I called the next morning to get the itinerary. And was surprised to see it was for only 2 guests (not 4), it was in a villa on a golf course across the street from the beach (not a condo on the beach). So I immediately called the hotel to get this corrected and that's when I found out I was using reservations.com. I called them to cancel and was told I would have to pay a cancelation fee. Why in the world would I have to pay any fees for their mistake! I have spent a month on the phone hours on hold trying to get it resolved. They have done nothing but aggregate me. So I called the credit card company. If they can't get it resolved we will be going to court! This company is absolutely the worst company I have ever had to deal with. I will never make this mistake again. Please don't let these people ruin your vacation. If there was a zero rating that would be more fitting.
I googled the name of an inn in NH that I wanted to stay at. I wanted to book directly with them, and the link that came up looked like it was for the Inn itself. I made the reservation, and the confirmation email said there would be no change or cancellation fee if done within 14 days of my planned stay. When I needed to make a change I called the Inn and only then did I discover that I had used inadvertently used this third-party company. The innkeeper and i were both disgusted to find out that reservations.com charged me MORE than I would have paid if I booked directly, AND they were paying the inn less than they would have gotten for a direct reservation. When I contacted reservation.com to cancel, I also found out that they had charged me a $14.99 nonrefundable "service fee". The person I spoke to couldn't eliminate the service fee. I asked to speak to her supervisor and waited 34 minutes before a supervisor came on the line. She then said that they only way the service fee could be refunded was by emailing their "escalation team."
I googled the hotel to make a reservation. They came up first and I did not realize I was making a reservation through them. They charged me forty dollars more than I could have gotten from the hotel directly. When I called their toll free number, I spoke with a call service outside America. She was very rude and hung up on me when I asked to speak with her supervisor. Darryl Isaacs
Do not use this company! A complete scam. When you all it sounds like you're booking through the hotel, but you're not. They charge you for using their service and don't mention it to you in the call. Booked a reservation with these idiots and when I went to the hotel, they had cancelled my reservation. Still trying to get my 200.00 dollars back. These people are the worst.
The business address of reservations.com is 1390 N Orange Ave, Orlando, Fl. *******.
Reversations.com is running an internet SCAM. The owners of this company should be prosecuted and thrown into prison! The SCAM runs like this: If you want to reverve a room in any particular city, you look it up on the internet. A web page appears with the name of the hotel you'd like to make reservations with, so you make the reservation. In my case, the advertised cost on that fake web site indicated $99 a night. After paying for the reservation, you receive an email confirmation from reservations.com? The confirmation charge in my case was $133.56? Two questions come to mine... where did reservations.com get involved in this, and why is the charge $133.56 for an advertised $99 room? You realize that you've been scammed. You call reservations.com to cancel. The Pakistani sounding woman will ask, "Have you read our cancellation policy?" You have no knowlege about any cancellation policy because you had no clue that you were booking through reservations.com. She tells you that there is a fee to cancel. If you cancel, you will still pay $14.99. To put salt on the wound, after locating the actual Hotel web page, you discover that the rooms can be rented for only $80 a night! This is a Bait & Switch operation by reservations.com posting web pages that appear to be the Hotel web page you were wanting to connect with.
I filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office in Florida over this SCAM. Unless other people who have been ripped off by reservations.com follow up with their own complaint, reservations.com will continue to run their SCAM. The owner/operators of this internet SCAM need to be prosecuted and thrown into prison. If you've been burned by reservations.com. Don't just sit there and complain, get off your butts and file a complaint with the AG's office in Florida. You can do that on the internet. Let's put these SCAMMERS into prison!
I'm also sending a complaint to the US AG's office because of this nation wide SCAM. You should too! Send your complaint to:

Washington, D. C. *******
They will not return your money in full even 3 days ahead of cancellation.
I am so upset to have to pay there fees plus hotel and tax.
Lesson learned the hard way - DO NOT USE THIRD PARTY WEB SITES.
I thought I was booking directly with the hotel. For some reason my transaction was processed twice. I immediately called and was redirected to another phone number. I called no less than 6 different numbers and multiple representatives at the same locations. At one point I was told to call Expedia Germany. After the first 3 calls I began asking for a supervisor and was told no one was available. I finally decided to call my bank and was able to dispute the charges. This was such an aggravating experience. Never again. In the future, I will always make sure that I am booking directly with the hotel or through a reputable third party site.
OMG, avoid this scam site. They come up on google as a top choice, but are total scam artists. Read every single bit of fine print. I tried to cancel a hotel reservation with them just a couple of days after I made it, and 38 days before my arrival date, and they want to charge 33% of the total bill including cleaning fees. When pressed, they lie and say its the hotel policy and to call the hotel. Once you figure out they are lying, they give you the run-around and bounce you to a new representative every 2 minutes while continuing to lie and make excuses. Call the places directly and avoid using this website for anything, ever.
Hotel has me sign a Criminal Awareness release... apparently their typical patrons rent by the hour?! Reminded me 3 times of check out, I left. They should disclose that these might be requests prior to booking!
We made reservations for the wrong date. When we realized our mistake we called within 24 hours to cancel our reservation. Initially they refused to give a refund. After the third call they claimed they had processed our refund - I do not trust them and will contact our credit card company to cancel payment.
I booked my room through them at 9pm. Got to the hotel at 11 and they said there was no reservation made for me. I called and called and called and called. Every time I talked to a representative they'd take my info, then put me on hold and never come back. By 12 that night they said they figured it out. They had to reboot their computer and then the info came through to my hotel. But by that time my room was gone. So I had to pay for a 2 bed room, but only got a single bed room. They wouldn't credit me any money back for their fault. I'll go above and beyond next time to make sure I never use them again.
Asked my bank to reverse the transaction and they did. Don't let yourself be scammed. If they won't reimburse you just call your bank or credit card company and habe them do it. Just tell them how they were misrepresenting themselves. They appeared to be from the hotel I was reserving from and be we said they would charge me USD funds to book a Canadian hotel from Canada!
I have filed a Better Business Bureau complaint against the company. They are located in Orlando, Fl. I would suggest you do the same.
Booked for a room told them I may cancel as I did and still not recieved my refund been 12 days now.
They also charge you 14.99 for booking it through them. This is a scam. Had to call my credit card company to take care of this. Also, they don't speak english. India or something. Also too I though I was booking through the hotel itself but I was not.
BE CAREFUL, THEY MASK THEMSELVES TO LOOK LIKE YOU ARE MAKING REZ THROUGH HOTEL... BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOO. YOU ARE GETTING A 3RD PARTY SYSTEM CALLED RESERVATIONS.COM WHICH IS A SUBSET OF EXPEDIA.
I ONLY FOUND OUT I HAD REZ THROUGH 3RD PARTY WHEN I GOT THEIR CONFIRMATION BACK AND IT WAS ON A CHEAP LOOKING E-MAIL FORM LETTER. SMELLED WRONG THEN. CALLED TO CANCEL, TO SOMEWHERE IN CHINA OR SOMEWHERE AND THEN YOU FIND OUT IT IS A NON-REFUNDABLE BOOKING... HELLO. TO SHORTEN THE STORY HERE IS WHAT YOU DO TO GET THIS CRAP REVERSED.
1. CALL YOU HOTEL AND TELL THEM WHAT HAPPENED. GET THE NAME OF SOMEONE THAT REZ.COM CAN CALL AND "WAIVE" THE CHARGE.
2. CALLL REZ.COM ON THEIR TOLL FREE NUMBER AND YOU WILL GET SOME COUNTRY SOMEWHERE.
3. THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT THEIR SUPERVISOR WILL HAVE TO CALL THE HOTEL AND GET A WAIVER OF THE CHARGES... WHICH THEY DO.
4. GIVE THEM THE NAME AND PHONE NUMBER OF THE PERSON TO TALK WITH AT THE HOTEL.
5. STAY ON THE LINE AND WAIT FOR AN ANSWER.
6. THEY WILL COME BACK WITH A WAIVED CHARGE, BUT THEY WON'T GIVE YOU A "FULL" REFUND. WILL TRY TO KEEP ABOUT $14.99 AS A "FEE".
7. RAISE HECK AT THIS AND THEY WILL AGREE TO REFUND THAT ALSO.
8. GET THEM TO E-MAIL YOU A CANCELLATION NOTICE. WHICH THEY WILL DO. BUT, IT WILL NOT HAVE ANY AMOUNT ON IT.
9. IN THE MEAN TIME, BLOCK/DISPUTE THE CHARGE TO YOUR CREDIT CARD SO IT WON'T PAY ANYTHING. JUST FOR INSURANCE.
10. FINALLY... DON'T EVER, EVER, EVER DEAL WITH A 3RD PARTY BOOKING AGENT FOR HOTELS.
I AM EXHAUSTED.
I thought I had booked through the hotel and didn't know that I would be charged an additional $14 fee for managing the reservation. I gave two stars because they did refund my room when I talked with the hotel and the hotel agreed to refund the amount. The original room price was $83 and after their charges, the room price was $130.95.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
