The company has garnered significant criticism for its customer service and reliability, with numerous reviews highlighting issues such as unresponsive support, delayed transactions, and problems with gift card balances. Customers frequently report that their attempts to resolve issues are met with inadequate responses or no communication at all, leading to feelings of frustration and distrust. I've purchased quite a few cards from the site and hardly ever have a problem. However, I have received top not service when there is a problem. With this company I'm treated with the utmost respect and my issues have been resolved quickly. The two issues I've had aren't the companies fault and had to do with someone else (I assume the seller of the cards) trying to use the cards after I've purchased them and had them for a couple of months. This issue has been quickly resolved with Raise as they've given me a refund and apologized for the issue (even though it's not their fault). Great service!
On another note, I absolutely love now that there's a "wallet" feature in the phone app where I can keep up with the balances of my card as I use them. Some have asked for an automatic balance update, but I prefer the manual update so I can be sure the balance is what I expect it to be. Primarily so I know someone didn't spend some of the card without me noticing (I do buy quite a few cards).
I've used more than a handful of sites (Cardpool customer service is at the bottom of the pool) and now there are only 2 sites I compare discounts between and use (with Raise being one of them).
Last note, Raise.com has specials every weekend where you can get an extra 5% off. There are some great deals in there as well.
I ORDERED A $100.00 GIFT CARD FROM RAISE.COM ON 9/4
TO THIS DATE IS HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY CARD AND THERE IS NO TRACKING INFORMATION ON THIS CARD. I HAVE REQUESTED A REFUND AND AM WAITING FOR SUCH. THIS WAS MY FIRST PURCHASE WITH THEM AND MY LAST>
As I was setting up my new account I ran into a "glitch". When it was my turn for help Cooper had an up beat voice from the start. He put the issue out of concern then another crept up, he calmly helped me with that one. For me product is product but the customer service is the deal breaker. 5 stars!
Bought several, 50% of them had problems. My guess is that people sell the cards to Raise but keep the gift card # and PIN for later usage. Once Raise buys the card and the seller receives the $$, they then use the stashed GC # and PIN to use the funds on the card they just sold. Buyer beware. When they work, its great. When they don't, its time and stress to get $$ back. Stay on top of balances and USE THEM QUICK!
I like the courtesy of knowing how many callers are ahead of me, so I don't waste my time. The service is courteous with the matter being addressed promptly. Had a problem with one physical card. Received a refund immediately and was able to order another right after I got off the phone. The confirmation emails arrived shortly thereafter. Your whole team is reliable. Kudos to the Leader and trainer(s).
Gift cards sold on this site are originally purchased with other people's credit cards. The thieves then make money by reselling the gift cards on this site. I am a victim of this credit card fraud. Do not buy these gift cards. If your gift card was inactivated, it's because it was part of a scam.
I have been a loyal customer of this site for over a year now & I absolutely love it! On the very rare occasion I have an issue & need to call in to their customer service I get my problems addressed & taken care of by April immediately. I have dealt with her on more than one occasion & she is the best at producing satisfying results!
I wanted to make sure I could get my cards quickly and go through the verification process in a timely manner. It had said that the process could take 24 hours so I called the support number to see if I could get everything done in one sitting, with card delivery soon after. I worked with Jenny initially and then Heather for the accounts verification portion. Both were extremely friendly and efficient, walking me through the process and offering to verify the account right then and there. I was amazed at how quick and friendly the service was. A++. Raises are in order (pun intended). From the time I first pressed "call" on my phone to the delivery email was 37 minutes! A good deal of the time was from me re-picking my cards as well! So fast. Very likely to buy from here again versus the competition.
I have bought thousands of dollars worth of cards from Raise over the past couple of years. I was shocked to read the few negative reviews. I have never experienced anything other than stellar service. The few times there have been issues with the cards, I received very prompt resolution. I highly recommend a Raise.
When signing up, make sure you it is during normal business hours as they will have a series of questions for you to prove that you are yourself. Customer service is always helpful and friendly but when buying from this website, make sure you allow at least a 2 hour window for delivery of the giftcard(s). I have experienced delivery times from 12 mins-3 hours even when ordering the same card repeatedly. Although, your money will be taken from your bank immediately.
Lucy was so nice. She was the most patient person that I met. Thank you, Lucy for helping me.
Bought my first gift card through Raise and was surprised that my card accidentally got shipped to my previous address just a week after I had moved(prepopulated, my fault for not checking). I immediately contacted support and got great help from Peggy. Aside from being warm and professional, she guaranteed I'd receive a refund if my order didn't make it my new address(I have mail forwarding set-up).
Great job, Raise! I will certainly be ordering more gift cards in the future. Even better, thank you for hiring Peggy. Best customer service I've received in a long time!
I have bought eGift from Raise about 5 times. It always delivers my eGift to my wallet in seconds.
And the customer service is very helpful.
Never buy from Raise.com Raise is using customers money and keep saying "we will refund to you. Don't worry". Customer rep are professional liars. They will send to you a hundreds emails, that they are very sorry, and at the same time they will use your money.
My order day was 7-22-2015. Today is 8-26-2015. I still did not get refund for empty $150.00 Dave@ Busters gift card. Yes, i got the card, but at the moment when I need to pay it was $0 not a $150.00 They will keep telling to you that we are a third part! They are not responsible but they will refund to you 100%. In my order they put canceled(?)
I checked today still don't have my refund. I wish I could post negative 5 stars. Horrible experience. Never buy from Raise.com"
The Raise support team (especially Jenny & Heather) helped us get signed up and a dinner gift card in time to celebrate our daughter's birthday on a late Saturday afternoon in record time. Thanks Again!
Bought a McDonalds card from these clowns, it never arrived. The only responses I received from CS were useless canned ones until I filed a BBB complaint. Then they agreed to send a replacement. Of course, that never arrived either. Their response to my complaint? The secretly close my account. Seriously? This how they run their business. Another millennial owned failure. Avoid like the plague
At first I met some problems on listing my unused gift cards.
After contacting raise.com, Jenny helped me out very fast.
I think their service deserves five stars.

Beware! If you sell a gift card, raise will steal your funds! They claim they need additional information but ask for your social, your drivers license number, and all other personal information they can steal!
BEWARE RAISE.COM WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY
Answer: I had a problem with the lowes gift cards i purchased from Raise as they did not work at lowes. It took upwards of 10 calls and over 3 months before I received my over $700 back. I will never buy anything on Raise again
Answer: People should unite and file a class action lawsuit against these guys, any attorneys reading this?
Answer: You check the balance on the business' website. For instance, if you have a McDonald's gift card, go to McDonald's website to check the card balance.
Answer: The usual issue is that someone will buy a gift card with a stolen credit card and then sell it to Raise (or others) for cash. Usually within 100 days the gift card issuer will find out when they have been charged back for the stolen card purchase, at which point they invalidate the card and zero the balance. Raise.com will refund you the unused balance on the card prior to it being zeroed out, but only within 60 days of your order. Their short protection policy limits their exposure if a high value card is invalidated and you come looking for a refund three months after you bought it. Every gift card reseller has a different policy for refunds. Some are as short as a few weeks, others last 100 days or more. Raise.com's 60 day policy is shorter than many of their competitors, which is why I don't use them much anymore. The lessons I have learned is only order cards you will use entirely within the next month, never gift them to others, and keep a spreadsheet if you order a lot of cards so you can keep track of balances. In all, I've had about 3% of the 200 cards I've ordered suddenly zeroed out. The majority were for improbably large amounts, which is why I now try and order lower value cards. One site suddenly listed 10 $100 gift cards for Jimmy Johns, a sub shop. One has to wonder who would order gift cards like this in the first place, only to put up for resale. It turned out the original buyer used a stolen credit card to buy them all and turned the proceeds into cash. The cards were all zeroed out. I have learned to be suspicious when a large number of high $ value cards in the same amount suddenly go up for sale. So while it may make sense to buy a $100 gift card for Sears, it usually isn't to buy a $100 gift card for Dunkin Donuts.
Answer: Susan, we're sorry to hear about the trouble you are having. Can you please send an email to member.success@raise.com with the email address associated with your account so that we can look into this for you?
