The company has garnered significant criticism for its customer service and reliability, with numerous reviews highlighting issues such as unresponsive support, delayed transactions, and problems with gift card balances. Customers frequently report that their attempts to resolve issues are met with inadequate responses or no communication at all, leading to feelings of frustration and distrust. I use www.raise.com very frequently. Love the inventory of gift cards available at discounted prices, an amazing user experience on both, raise website and iphone app, and on the top of that an exemplary customer service.
I purchased few Macys gift cards from raise.com and ran into issues. Called Macys' customer service who was unwilling to let me check the balance on the cards or to use the cards.
Reached out to Dahlia, a customer service representative from Raise.com. She went extra mile in helping me with my Macys gift card issues. She validated each of Macys cards and gladly refunded amount where there were issues.
Thank you. Appreciate your help.
I got my physical gift card in mail but I don't want it anymore and they won't let you return it. I have to sell it online. They will take 15% off your selling price as the money you get finally. What a waste of money!
I experienced a myriad of issues in trying to place a large order for Target gift cards. Lee was persistent in finding an answer to the issues I was experiencing. Her kind words and willingness to help was so very appreciated. THANK YOU LEE!

I love being able to buy discounted gift cards. The few times there has been an issue with a card I purchased, customer service (you can actually speak with someone!) has been great at researching the issue and promptly refunding my money. This is the main reason I only use Raise as my discount gift card company
Often bought cards at other sites including E-Bay, Paise is by far the best I have found in service and value. (REVISED) That is what I thought until I bought a fraudulent card from RAISE and their customer service was next to nothing. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.
Kohls would not redeem egift card and the Petco gift card I got was actually a merchandise card that needs a pin number after it is swiped. Customer service was friendly but couldn't resolve either problem and referred my case to research team, said it would take 3 to 5 days to get answer. Great, that's what they said the first time I called 5 days ago.
UPDATE: Raise refunded the money on the closed Kohl's card and it was my error on the Petco card(merchandise card cashier swipes) Good job Raise. Changed review to 5 stars
Love the fact that the e-Giftcards arrive immediate after one places an order, unlike other websites.
This was the only time i had to call since it did not arrive immediately but was issued immediately.
So glad I learned about Raise. $avings are off the chain. The agents are well-versed in the company, as well as very courteous. (I've made two calls today.) Raise, a tool no one should miss out on. Thank you, "R!"
I order a petco card never got it. Wasted 14 day waiting for it. Called then they Said there was no tracking on the card. They would not send me my card but just a refund. So you really don't get any saving just a refund so it is a waste of time to order a card because you won't get it. Just a stupid refund. So don't use it because it sucks bigs time and a waste of time.
I had, for one reason or another, received a bad egift code. Calling into Raise's customer support line was quick and easy. The representative verified the issue and promptly made it right by getting me a new code.
I ordered 3 Staples' e gift codes last night in a hurry to catch a good deal on Staples site - the items are fastly sold - expected to receive the codes within 2 - 3 hours - like it normally does on all of my orders before. However, it took longer this time and my stuff in Staples' online cart were sold out after 3 hours. As a result, I missed the deal, holding $1500 gc value which I did not know what to do with it. Resell it - well it is not a really good discount on these gc and it would be hard to sell because of the high value on each card. My husband complained about this non-stop!
I called Raise Support and talked to Victor the next day. He tried his best - listened to my case, then back and forth to his supervisor to try to help me because per policy, i might not qualify for a refund. Thanks God, thanks to Victor, his boss finally approved for the refund. Life is so much better with a Customer Service Representative like him! Thank you Raise to have such an excellent attitude to the customer, wonderful customer support! I have been order from Raise few years and definitely Raise will be my first option to buy online gift codes!
THANKS AGAIN!
Horrible, customer service. Worst site to buy gift cards, purchase from a competitor.
None of these cards is guaranteed. The person who sold it to Raise could empty the card on day 99 and you would just be out of luck the next day! I just checked a VS $300 one and it got emptied at around day 90. ZERO balance. I never used it. You need to use every card completely before day 100! Or Raise will just say, "that's tough". Also, if you have any problems with the vendor redeeming or checking balances, you are out of luck. Raise's guarantee is very limited. Lastly, their customer service is sometimes sarcastic and disinterested and service is often very slow. Everyone writes about this. I've spent around $1500 with them. That's over.
This site is great. I always buy gift cards and at last I've found somewhere that will not only save me money on the shipping of the item, but also on the item itself.
Ordered my first Gift Card, after finding a $19.00 discount on this site Raise.com.
Seller marked items as shipped same day as sale... 28 Aug 2015. Today 19 Sept, and no card. Tracking on purchase shows..."No tracking info available at this time." - I called into raise.com support on Friday 18 Sept, was Caller 26, after 20 minutes I got to "next in line" - then the raise call system put me back to Caller 26 again... very odd.
= NO CARD / NO SUPPORT & NOW I PUTTING A VISA DISPUTE ON THIS $81.00 PURCHASE. RAISE.COM WAS LESS THAN SATISFACTORY FOR ME.
Raise.com is a site where you can purchase gift cards at a fair value for the card & saving 10+% per card you purchase from there. Normally you receive the actual gift card within 7-14 business days. One card we purchase hadn't been rec'd so I emailed support to question it. Suzy replied back 1 wk after I submitted my first email & stayed on top of the situation until it was resolved. Suzy had kept me in the loop on everything that was going on. She contacted the seller & he said he shipped the card. The card has still not been rec'd, so Raise.com (Tiffani) has issued a refund to me. I haven't seen the refund show up yet in the account, so I can't comment on that yet. I've never had a problem with not receiving cards that I've bought before and Suzy from Raise.com was GREAT throughout the whole inquiry. I would HIGHLY recommend this site to anyone looking for gift cards at a special (lower price than buying them for face value) price... thank you Raise.com for being very helpful in this matter.
Had an issue with a gift card where I couldn't register it to my account. Customer service identified the issue and got it resolved in no time. Great customer service!
So happy with how fast my questions were answered. Made the steps very simple even I was able to understand how to do both things. I can't say enough nice things. I have been very happy with raise and extremely happy with all the help when I needed assistance. Thanks!
Bought two gift cards, the next day they refunded one card as they "found an issue" with it. Been waiting almost 4 weeks for the second card, sent emails, only receive automated responses and when I call their customer service I am always caller number 20+. Just contacted the bank and filed a dispute on the charge.
First time purchaser on Raise.com. After having to call in to validate my identity (this was a pleasant surprise they use this method as a check against ID theft), was issued my Google Play e-gift code. Problem occurred when trying to Redeem the code, Google Play store said the code was "Invalid Code". Called back into Raise.com support, waited in the queue about 30 minutes, but Peggy was able to assist me. She just required a screenshot of the error message in Google Play to valid the invalid code issue. She then was able to issue me a new Google Play code. I was able to verify the new code worked, and I appreciated the fact that she was patient and courteous during the entire support call. Hope this is indicative of the kind of customer support that can be expected from all Raise.com support personnel.
Answer: I had a problem with the lowes gift cards i purchased from Raise as they did not work at lowes. It took upwards of 10 calls and over 3 months before I received my over $700 back. I will never buy anything on Raise again
Answer: People should unite and file a class action lawsuit against these guys, any attorneys reading this?
Answer: You check the balance on the business' website. For instance, if you have a McDonald's gift card, go to McDonald's website to check the card balance.
Answer: The usual issue is that someone will buy a gift card with a stolen credit card and then sell it to Raise (or others) for cash. Usually within 100 days the gift card issuer will find out when they have been charged back for the stolen card purchase, at which point they invalidate the card and zero the balance. Raise.com will refund you the unused balance on the card prior to it being zeroed out, but only within 60 days of your order. Their short protection policy limits their exposure if a high value card is invalidated and you come looking for a refund three months after you bought it. Every gift card reseller has a different policy for refunds. Some are as short as a few weeks, others last 100 days or more. Raise.com's 60 day policy is shorter than many of their competitors, which is why I don't use them much anymore. The lessons I have learned is only order cards you will use entirely within the next month, never gift them to others, and keep a spreadsheet if you order a lot of cards so you can keep track of balances. In all, I've had about 3% of the 200 cards I've ordered suddenly zeroed out. The majority were for improbably large amounts, which is why I now try and order lower value cards. One site suddenly listed 10 $100 gift cards for Jimmy Johns, a sub shop. One has to wonder who would order gift cards like this in the first place, only to put up for resale. It turned out the original buyer used a stolen credit card to buy them all and turned the proceeds into cash. The cards were all zeroed out. I have learned to be suspicious when a large number of high $ value cards in the same amount suddenly go up for sale. So while it may make sense to buy a $100 gift card for Sears, it usually isn't to buy a $100 gift card for Dunkin Donuts.
Answer: Susan, we're sorry to hear about the trouble you are having. Can you please send an email to member.success@raise.com with the email address associated with your account so that we can look into this for you?
