The company has garnered significant criticism for its customer service and reliability, with numerous reviews highlighting issues such as unresponsive support, delayed transactions, and problems with gift card balances. Customers frequently report that their attempts to resolve issues are met with inadequate responses or no communication at all, leading to feelings of frustration and distrust. I purchased an Ebay card, which turned out to be bad. Raise was very quick to correct the problem when I get to speak with their reps. However, it takes several hours before even getting to a rep. The reps are polite and willing to help. Also, it takes almost a week for the fund to finally arrive my credit card account. Rep Patience was very good to follow up. I appreciate her attitude!
Angelina was very helpful and efficient! Excellent job helping me with a Raise error! She was very kind and sweet on the phone! Bravo!
Great site with a very friendly customer service rep named Lee. Thanks!
People selling gift cards need a market and Raise provides that market. However, not everyone selling a gift card is honest and there is fraud out there. The Raise staff assume the best but recognize the realities. They are gracious in dealing with people who encounter problems and carefully check out any problem. I appreciate Raise staff and wouldn't trade them for anything.
I bought a lot of cards doing a home remodel, one card I received I paid 300.00 it had. 30cents on it, so apparently they don't check all of the cards. Then I placed a large order they put it on hold, made me send in a picture of my ID, this is after I've been doing a lot with them? Now my order is on hold and I need to order my cabinets and I have no certificates. Placed on hold for a total of 1.5 hours, if youre willing to go through the hassle sure you'll save money but it is a headache
Absolutely the worst business i have ever dealt with in my entire 71 years! Do yourself a favor and run, don't walk, away from these con artists!
06/04/2016: just tried to use the balance on a Lowe's card that i bought last november. It was no good. NEVER AGAIN!
I spoke with Naevia on three separate topics regarding my account with Raise. She was able to help me on all three fronts with promptness and clarity. It was clear that she knew the system well and could answer my detailed questions. 5 stars for Naevia.
On the other hand, the wait time was horrific. It took me 5 hours to speak with someone. The call back feature is the silver lining on the wait time. I hope I will not need it next time.
I wasn't sure about buying gift cards/vouchers this way but my experience through Raise has been great. It seems as they care about security and really want you to have a good buying/selling experience. When I had an issue printing my voucher, Naevia, from customer service, was extremely helpful. I have turned several other to Raise.com as I have found this site to be very beneficial.
Daisy was wonderful - and almost worth having to wait for two days for a call back. Your Website is very 'unforgiving' when a new password is required. My password manager likes to generate odd passwords, but none to your liking. Lucky for me, Daisy did reach me via telephone and resolved the problem with professionalism, knowledge and sweetness. I did order over $150.00 in Nike Gift Cards.
We have had trouble with our mail not being delivered, and Daisy at Raise.com has worked so hard to make sure we get our order. She has been extremely patient and helpful as we have tried to remedy our delivery situation. I am very impressed with the customer service I have received and will definitely make future purchases from Raise.com.
The customer service rep did a great job taking care of me. She refunded my order since I never received the card and gave me $5 of my next order. This shows me the company values my business and doesn't want to lose me to a competitor. This gesture made me feel great and IT'S JUST SMART BUSINESS! I love Raise and this experience will probably just make me tell people even more about the website. Great service.
I have been an enthusiastically recommending Raise user for the past year. I have saved over $7000 with them. Does this tell you how many gift cards I have bought?
Their customer service was excellent. If you called them someone was there to pick up the phone and solve the problems. If you emailed them, they were prompt to return your email and solve the problem. They were courteous and efficient. I had a great deal of confidence in their reliability... till the past two months. There must be some big change going on.
PHONE CALLS ARE NOT PICKED UP ANYMORE!
EMAILS DO NOT GET RETURNED FOR CLOSE TO A WEEK ON TOPIC REGARDING GIFT CARDS WHICH WERE ISSUED BUT HAS NO MONEY IN THEM!
I do not have confidence in their service.
I really do not understand how some recent reviews laud their prompt service. I have called on many many different times, close to 20 times in the past two months. They put me on hold for ever and ever. I was never able to get through. I am really sorry to see them drop their service like this.
I SURE HOPE THE MANAGEMENT TURNS AROUND! I decided to go else where.
Every time the general representative helped me transfer to processing department, the call would ended.
I had a problem with the GC that purchased, long story short she was able to detect the problem and set me up with a new GC, less leg work for me! I truly appreciate all your help :)
Everybody is always nice and polite. Keep up the good work
This is the BEST site. In 18 months I have purchased almost $20,000 in discounted gift cards, primarily Lowes and Home Depot. This on little one for $40 is the only one I have ever had a problem with. It was fixed and refund to my account within 5 days of my calling. Thanks Raise - I look forward to many more dollars save by using your services!
Purchased a voucher on-line today, great price, got 15% off a gift certificate for a famous restaurant.
Had a small issue so had to contact customer service... Excellent experience, vary helpful and professional... this is a good company to do business with...
Raise has great products at great prices, and an easy to use website. Best of all, customer service is quick, pleasant, and efficient. Don't hesitate to order!
I have done 2 purchases my first one was great experience I bought a $250 Macy's card for $218 great. On my second I purchased a give cards of $150.00 for $141 when I went to the Macy's web page and put the give card number the balance of the card is $3.60. I call Raise.com they have put a dispute and I have to wait 5 days for them to take a decision. So now I have $141 on hold on my account that I can't use an ones the 5 days pass I would probably have to wait another 5 day's for the money to reflect in my account.
I am not happy at all this is a scary bad experience.
Answer: I had a problem with the lowes gift cards i purchased from Raise as they did not work at lowes. It took upwards of 10 calls and over 3 months before I received my over $700 back. I will never buy anything on Raise again
Answer: People should unite and file a class action lawsuit against these guys, any attorneys reading this?
Answer: You check the balance on the business' website. For instance, if you have a McDonald's gift card, go to McDonald's website to check the card balance.
Answer: The usual issue is that someone will buy a gift card with a stolen credit card and then sell it to Raise (or others) for cash. Usually within 100 days the gift card issuer will find out when they have been charged back for the stolen card purchase, at which point they invalidate the card and zero the balance. Raise.com will refund you the unused balance on the card prior to it being zeroed out, but only within 60 days of your order. Their short protection policy limits their exposure if a high value card is invalidated and you come looking for a refund three months after you bought it. Every gift card reseller has a different policy for refunds. Some are as short as a few weeks, others last 100 days or more. Raise.com's 60 day policy is shorter than many of their competitors, which is why I don't use them much anymore. The lessons I have learned is only order cards you will use entirely within the next month, never gift them to others, and keep a spreadsheet if you order a lot of cards so you can keep track of balances. In all, I've had about 3% of the 200 cards I've ordered suddenly zeroed out. The majority were for improbably large amounts, which is why I now try and order lower value cards. One site suddenly listed 10 $100 gift cards for Jimmy Johns, a sub shop. One has to wonder who would order gift cards like this in the first place, only to put up for resale. It turned out the original buyer used a stolen credit card to buy them all and turned the proceeds into cash. The cards were all zeroed out. I have learned to be suspicious when a large number of high $ value cards in the same amount suddenly go up for sale. So while it may make sense to buy a $100 gift card for Sears, it usually isn't to buy a $100 gift card for Dunkin Donuts.
Answer: Susan, we're sorry to hear about the trouble you are having. Can you please send an email to member.success@raise.com with the email address associated with your account so that we can look into this for you?
