Customers frequently report that their attempts to resolve issues are met with inadequate responses or no communication at all, leading to feelings of frustration and distrust. I called about a gift card that I bought that was for $100. Wen I tried to use the card, the store said it had a zero balance. I checked on line and it also showed a zero balance. Raise support was able to credit me back the $85 I spent on the invalid card. I had purchased the card a month ago, and Raise honored their 100 day guarantee on the sale and did so in a timely manner.
I've purchased gift cards & vouchers and sold gifts cards on Raise.
Here are the tips I learned along the way:
1) Before redeeming any card or voucher-look up the balance. At the bottom of the Raise page click on Resources- Gift card Balance- select merchant name. If certificate shows as invalid or zero balance call Raise immediately. 2) Do NOT wait on hold! When call volumes are high opt to keep your place in the queue but select the option for a Call Back. 3) Set Alerts on Raise to save time & money. Gift cards you want to purchase out of stock or not discounted enough? Choose the card you want and set the *discount- when it becomes available you'll receive an email. *hint- be resonable -if you set an alert for a popular *******@50% off it may not ever be available. 4) Make sure when using an E voucher at a brick & mortar merchant that they know how to enter the transaction. I've had cashiers tell me E-certificates were for online sales only (or even worse that a voucher was invalid) when they simply didn't know how to ring the sale properly. If you have a balance on the voucher (see #1) ask for another cashier.
I've had great experiences buying & selling on Raise. I've also had some purchases that showed 0 balance, or invalid cards In every case customer service was professional, issued refunds and solved the problem
Naevia (Raise Support) addressed my concerns and promptly took it to resolution (refund of order). Naevia was extremely courteous and upbeat, not always an easy task!
I have spent thousands of dollars on Raise and anytime I encountered a difficulty a Raise support member handled it to my satisfaction. Five Stars all the way!
Penelope was very helpful in identifying the faulty cards in my order and submitting the order for a review so a refund could be issued.
The first time I called on the phone, the man talked so fast and had an accent I couldn't understand what he was saying. I asked him to talk slower and I still didn't get the answer I was looking for.
When I talked to Lynn she was very polite and most of all she answered my questions and I finally understood what I was doing. If I had to call again I would hope to speak to her. I give her an excellent report!
After I emailed about an issue I had, Angel responded to me after the holiday and quickly addressed the issue, giving me a full refund. Very professionally handled. Thanks!
I purchased two $10 iTunes go from Raise. One I was able to redeem right away with no problem. The other one had an error code. I called and emailed for a support ticket. Customer service was wonderful! The customer rep I got was really courteous and friendly!
Had a situation that I thought would be difficult to resolve. Spoke to a woman named Suzy, and she fixed the problem extremely quickly. I'm fairly new to Raise, and had liked my experience there, but now I LOVE my experience there. Terrific people and service.
Short and direct response to my questions. Happy with quality of the interaction. My only suggestion would be to allow time for more opened ended inquiries and close call with very specific closing statement, I. E. "Did I address your question" or "can I help you understand other aspects of the service".
I purchased to gift cards from Raise.com. When I tried to use them, they said invalid. I called and they refunded my money. So I decided to give them another chance. I purchased two more gift cards. Guess what?!?!? They are Not Valid. I will never purchase from raise.com again. What a fraud!
Purchased a card via Raise couple weeks ago and tried to use it the first time in store yesterday. Was told card is not valid. Called customer service today and talked to Naevia. She issued the refund for me without hesitation and I received the confirmation email right away. My phone got disconnected for some reason and she did even call me back.
Very good experience!
At first I was really reluctant to use the app, but I decided with a 100 day money back guarantee what did I have to lose? So I bought an iTunes card.
I then had an issue with my card, when I called the support number I chose to have them call me back when it was my turn, glad I did. Probably would've gotten a little aggravated at something that was no one's fault. When the service rep called me she was very friendly, and assured me she would take care of the problem.
Later that night I got an email from her telling me the problem was fixed and I could go ahead and use my code. Thank you so very much aegis, you're awesome.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. I purchased Famous Dave's egift and then I went to Famous Dave's in San Jose California and the manager told me that the egift has ZERO BALANCE!. I send them a message right away and no response. I called them alot of times and the hold is hrs, sometimes more than and 1 hour, And today I called them again ang the hold is almost an hour and line cutoff and someone hangup on me. I want to save money that's why I purchased in this company but at he end I will cause more and headache. I don't really write a reviews but since this company scammed me. I just want to let the people now my experienced and not to happen to anyone.
I sold my Dell promotional card to raise at the early September, but I still don`t get my credit. It is about 3 months. I was trying to contact with Raise customer service several times through email and call. But they never answer my email and they got a call and promise to follow up for this issue, but they never follow up for it. Why I need to wait and contact to them? I can`t believe they are doing this. I waste my times very much and I promise I`m not gonna use Raise anymore.
Logging into account is a menace! Conformation codes come hours after requested if you login in from a new computer, and then the codes say that they are expired! Calling customer services takes a lot of time and on-hold music is enough to drive you insane.
I had an small issue that arise when purchasing a gift card, but when I called customer service was very polite and efficient.
Thank you
Had a problem with my gift card and half expected to have to jump through hoops to get it resolved. Not the case AT ALL. Naevia was extraordinarily helpful, polite and quick to get that resolved for me. Thank you so much!
I had the pleasure of having Forrest assist me. I work as a manager for Neiman Marcus so I understand just how hard having a customer service position can be, but the service that he provided to me was superior. Rest assured in your purchase knowing that representatives like Forrest.
The woman I talked on the phone, to, was the best customer service worker I ever had to talk to.Not only did she help solve the problem, but she really took the time to listen to me and make sure my needs were met, in any way that she possibly can. I hope she is there for a very long time, and hope that if I ever need to talk to customer service at Raise.Com, again, that I am lucky enough to get her to be the one to answer my call. Thanks, again, so much, for helping me and really showing me you care.
Just a typical order for gift cards, and they requested me to send them two photos of my ID at different angels. This sound like a big scam and potentially ID theft. Yes, I want to save some tens dollars. But I am NOT going to sell my ID with full of driver license number, address, birthday, etc for just a few tens dollars.
Big scammer.
Answer: I had a problem with the lowes gift cards i purchased from Raise as they did not work at lowes. It took upwards of 10 calls and over 3 months before I received my over $700 back. I will never buy anything on Raise again
Answer: People should unite and file a class action lawsuit against these guys, any attorneys reading this?
Answer: You check the balance on the business' website. For instance, if you have a McDonald's gift card, go to McDonald's website to check the card balance.
Answer: The usual issue is that someone will buy a gift card with a stolen credit card and then sell it to Raise (or others) for cash. Usually within 100 days the gift card issuer will find out when they have been charged back for the stolen card purchase, at which point they invalidate the card and zero the balance. Raise.com will refund you the unused balance on the card prior to it being zeroed out, but only within 60 days of your order. Their short protection policy limits their exposure if a high value card is invalidated and you come looking for a refund three months after you bought it. Every gift card reseller has a different policy for refunds. Some are as short as a few weeks, others last 100 days or more. Raise.com's 60 day policy is shorter than many of their competitors, which is why I don't use them much anymore. The lessons I have learned is only order cards you will use entirely within the next month, never gift them to others, and keep a spreadsheet if you order a lot of cards so you can keep track of balances. In all, I've had about 3% of the 200 cards I've ordered suddenly zeroed out. The majority were for improbably large amounts, which is why I now try and order lower value cards. One site suddenly listed 10 $100 gift cards for Jimmy Johns, a sub shop. One has to wonder who would order gift cards like this in the first place, only to put up for resale. It turned out the original buyer used a stolen credit card to buy them all and turned the proceeds into cash. The cards were all zeroed out. I have learned to be suspicious when a large number of high $ value cards in the same amount suddenly go up for sale. So while it may make sense to buy a $100 gift card for Sears, it usually isn't to buy a $100 gift card for Dunkin Donuts.
Answer: Susan, we're sorry to hear about the trouble you are having. Can you please send an email to member.success@raise.com with the email address associated with your account so that we can look into this for you?
