DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! My dress came in the completely wrong color and is CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP ordered a size LARGER than what I usually wear and it was still too small, then they wouldn't even let me exchange. CRAP website with CRAP dresses. STAY AWAY!

Don't believe all the negative reviews! We ordered a JVN by Jovani dress that my daughter had fallen in love with at a boutique store in a nearby city. Unfortunately, she needed a size 2 and the store only had a 4 and wouldn't be able to get another one until January. Her Fall Formal is November 15. We ordered on Sunday evening from Promgirl.com and the dress was on our porch Wednesday afternoon, just 3 days later, regular ground shipping. It is exactly as described, exactly the same dress as in the store(even $20 cheaper and no tax!). We will order from them again and will post a picture after the event.

I wish I would have seen the reviews before I ordered from this site. Customer service is HORRIBLE. Be very careful about shipping policies. 3 day shipping does NOT mean 3 day shipping as a normal customer would understand it. It is 3 day shipping PLUS whatever processing time they need AFTER they've already sent you the confirm that it has shipped.

A reputable company would disclose this and/or offer a refund on the exhorbitant 3 day shipping fee.

I can't add ratings for value, returns or quality as my order still hasn't arrived.

DON'T BUY FROM PROMGIRL! A website based company with a zero tolerance return policy is not a sustainable business model. Only risk buying here if you are 100% confident you will not need to return/exchange the dress! If you try to return it, they will not accept it - they have a zero tolerance limit on exchanges. We just bought a dress, which was too small, so we ordered the next size. When trying to return the first, we were advised the "5 day return policy had been violated" - sorry, but EAT the cost of the dresses! Never again!

I LOVE this company! The dress was perfect and exactly what I ordered! I would highly recommend buying from this website... don't let all the negative reviews scare you away... I honestly don't understand why there are so many of them. The dresses are the actual designer name brands at a very low price! I can't believe I got a Dave and Johnny dress that was regular $311, for $79! What a steal!

AWFUL! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! Their return policy is ridiculous. We bought a $170 dress for a homecoming. Her date got grounded by his parents and she couldn't go to the dance. There wasn't any way to comply with Prom Girl's "5 days notice" return policy. The dress still has the tags, is still in the bag. Never been touched but because it was ordered two weeks ago (so that it arrives in time for the event) they won't accept it back. And, for what it's worth, it is a cheap-looking dress for $170!

My daughter ordered a dress from prom girl. The dress looked wonderful the zipper is cheaply made. We paid a extra $17.00 to get here in 3 days and it took 5. I called customer service the guy was very rude. I ordered it on a Sat. And didn't recieve it till Thursday.

This website is AWFUL. They sent me the wrong dress and then refused to do anything to help me. When I asked for the dress that I did order, they were out of stock. TERRIBLE customer service- they do NOTHING to help you. DO NOT order anything from this website.

I was so scared about buying dress from this site. I read all this bad reviews, but I tried to order the dress. It was the best thing in my live. I'm from Czech republic and the dress arrived after a week! Amazing. It was in the sale, where is no chance to change it or return it. Nevermind, I bought it, and it's absolutely beautiful and it fits perfect! 5 stars, I can absolutely recommended this site to everyone!

This site is a HUGE ripoff! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! I ordered this dress as a birthday gift for my daughter. I had it wrapped and gave it to her on her birthday. The dress fit so bad I cant even begin to explain it. The way it was cut and very cheaply made too. So, I call to return it for a refund considered I paid 100 for it. They told me NO refunds or NO in store credit because they have a 5 day window to return the dress after its been shipped! Considered it takes time to ship the dress because I live so far away and it was given as a birthday gift which ruined my daughter's special day too, they said I missed the 5 day return policy. I have NEVER EVER heard a company where you must return by 5 days or NO REFUND! I even have a Business degree and this not how you run a company. The customer should always be satisfied or they are going to go out of Business quickly! So I am now out of pocket 100 of my hard earned money that was basically given to them freely. Take my advise go somewhere else for a dress! This company is out to ripped you off!

Note to potential buyers: You are taking a HUGE risk when you buy a dress from this website. I bought the Strapless Short Multi-Color Animal Print Dress for $34. I didn't buy it for any specific event; I stumbled upon it online and fell in love with the design. After reading all the negative reviews, I was very hesitant to make a purchase. However at that price, I figured I might as well take the risk. I bought it on a Tuesday and it shipped out ground on Wednesday. I didn't receive an email informing me it was shipped, so I would advise you to check the order status page periodically. Furthermore, their system only updates tracking information in the evening so if you don't see it right away then fear not. The item shipped from their warehouse in NJ to my house a three hour drive away and arrived the next day. I was pleased at how fast it arrived and that the dress was beautiful and in great shape (looked exactly like the photo). I would recommend ordering larger than you think you need, as I'm very petite (size 0) and the size 3 fit like a glove. From what other reviewers have been saying, I would not recommend ordering an expensive dress from this site as if they mess up, the loss is much higher. If you have to make a return, buyer beware, they charge a restocking fee and you pay for shipping. And there are no guarantees you will receive a credit (their customer service doesn't sound very bright). So you might as well resell the dress or find another use for it. This might sound a little silly considering the name of the website, but I would highly suggest not ordering a dress you will need for a time sensitive event such as prom. From personal experience, it is much better to go to your local dress boutique where your exact measurements will be taken and you get to see the quality of the dress ahead of time. Plus they truly value your business and want to make you happy. I gave them three stars because although the dress is fantastic, I stressed over whether they would actually ship it in the time they promised (or even altogether) and I don't agree with their business practices, notably their treatment of returns (have never heard of charging your customers for returning a product they may not have worked for various factors out of customer control). I bought 3 dresses at promgirl.com, I read all this bad reviews so I was hesitating to make the purchase, but the dresses were beautiful and cheaper than other websites. I hesitated for a year because of all this bad reviews. I changed my mind when I chat with an operator on their official Facebook page and look to all the pictures customers upload telling how happy they are with their dresses. So I make the purchase on june 17th, it shipped on june 19th and were at the front door of my house at 3pm on june 19th! I was so glad every single dress fit as expected and look like the pictures they had on the webpage :) I have to tell it was a great experience and I´ll definitely buy here for more special occasions.

PromGirl practices business in an underhanded deceiving manner and I would highly recommend using Nordstrom or any other reputable company versus this scam of an operation. The paper invoice that arrives with your merchandise is misleading and does not clearly state their return policy. It boldly states "EASY RETURNS & EXCHANGES", "4 EASY STEPS TO RETURN" but fails to mention anywhere on the invoice that you must do this within 5 days of receiving the purchase. This is clearly intentionally left off the documentation and would be an important piece of information that any reputable company would provide for their customers. Too many other places to shop to support this kind of underhanded business practice.
