All the dresses from the site are authentic and are the brand that they say that they are. I would suggest to anyone buying a brand name prom dress- try it on in store and then order it from this site. There is a return policy in place but I would try the dress on first in a store so that you don't have to deal with the restocking fee.

I ordered some dresses for my daughter - about 8 of them - I understood that there would be a restocking fee of 10% but I chose to make the purchase anyway. One of the dresses appeared in my cart as "final sale - no returns", so I deleted that dress, as I wasn't sure it would be a keeper anyway. The dresses arrive at my house, she tries them on and (no surprise) some dresses didn't suit her, so I went to return them, only to find out that most of them were now listed as "final sale - no return" so we're stuck with them. This is an underhanded business practice. Also, for the dresses I could return, they sent me a bogus UPS label! Shady business.
We selected a lovely red gown, carefully following their sizing chart specific to the dress. The dress arrived and in no way did it match the size ordered. The waist and hip were way too small and the chest far too large. It wasn't even close. We followed all return instructions, requesting a full refund to our credit card. Instead they issued a store credit. When I called to request the credit card refund, they asked me to sign that I would accepted less. They took about a restocking fee and denied the size was wrong. Deceitful and shoddy!

Ordered the dress from Canada on Tuesday and just received it on Thursday, absolutely blown away with how fast it came, not to mention it is absolutely stunning and fits me perfectly. I was a bit skeptical when I read all these review but ordered it anyways and I have no regrets. The dress looks like its way more expensive then the price I got it for!
I ordered a prom dress and it came in less than a week but when I opened up the box I discovered something that looked like ink on my dress and immediately called the 1-800 number and they apologized and shipped out a new dress that same day. I received the new dress within 3 business days and it was perfect. It wasn't quite the color as seen in the picture but everything else was perfect. The beads and jewels were beautiful and I felt like a princess.
I rarely leave online reviews but felt I should in this case. I was very hesitant to place an order with promgirl after reading so many bad reviews but decided to give it a shot. The dress came within a few days, neatly packaged and exactly as pictured. The quality was very good. Unfortunately it just was not a good fit for my daughter and we returned it. I had read the return policy before placing the order so I understood the timeline involved. We received the dress last Friday, I shipped it back Monday and today (Friday) one week later I received an email confirmation that showed my refund to my credit card less the 10% restocking fee. I am very pleased with the process. Sure it would be nice to receive 100% of my money back but I knew before I ordered that I might have to absorb that fee if we didn't keep the dress. Do your homework before you place any order and there should be no surprises. I would order from them again.
Bait and switch... ordered a dress and they sent an email saying it was out of stock and my daughter would have to pick a different one from a list. Sadly you can still order this same dress online right now so how many other ladies are they doing this to? Don't buy a dress from them unless you want to "pick one from the alternative list".

Myself and two of my friends ordered our senior ball dresses on Promgirl a few days ago. My dress, on the website AND my confirmation order says that it would cost me $265 (including $35 postage) Absolutely NO WHERE on the site does it say this is USD. (obviously everybody would assume this, as all Promgirl had to say!) I am from Australia and knew 100% this was an American site. After we had all paid for our dresses, our bank statements had came through saying Promgirl had taken out $80 more than they should have. After continuous emails to Promgirl all they had to say is that it was the banks fault for charging us and there is nothing they can do about it. You think that after we had changed our addresses to AUSTRALIA and clicked INTERNATIONAL shipping they would change the currency over but no. They are a money hungry industry. Definitely never buying from them again and definitely not ever recommending Promgirl to anyone. SCAMMERS!
Ordered a dress from Promgirl 2 years ago and had to return it since we ordered the wrong size. Followed their return policy and had no problems. This year we decided to return to Promgirl and ordered my daughters senior prom dress on Sunday, received confirmation it shipped on Monday, and received the dress Friday (less than a week!). The dress is beautiful and fits her perfectly. We would definately return to Promgirl again!

And just exactly what are we to do with another dress. Are you kidding me. My daughter found a dress on promgirl.com in minutes and knew it was the one for her Sweetheart dance at school. I ordered it without hesitation because it was "the one". After ordering I read the reviews... But, we received the dress in just days of ordering and it is beautiful, no complaints at all. I know everyone has their own experience, but as for ours promgirl.com gets 5 stars.
Perfect dress just like picture, and cheaper that what I found in stores for same exact dress. Just make sure you are ordering the correct size. I ordered my daughters usual size, then measured her after placing order only to realize I should have ordered a size smaller. Even though my order had not processed I could not change or cancel the order. So I then had to order another dress and return the 1st size minus a re stock fee. Big lesson on my part, but they do state this on website. Fast shipping as well.

It is very interesting how many of the positive reviews are almost identically worded - slight change of 'arrived in 4 days' to '2 days' etc - just saying! I was looking to buy two $300 dresses for my daughter but after looking at the reviews I won't be!
This company is crap - absolute garbage. No exchanges - in this day and age. Have never ran into a group like this one. And they are telling us the dress was special made - BS.

Do NOT order from this website. I placed an order about 2 weeks ago, just received my parcel yesterday and got the completely wrong dress!, Not even the same designer. When i emailed them they said i could return the dress, shipping for that will be roughly $60 and they would sent me the dress i originally order ONCE IT CAME IN STOCK. No refund of any kind was offered and no apologies for my inconvenience,
The dress i did receive is also in very poor condition, not 20 minutes after having it the beads started to fall off and the zipper in back broke

I LOVED my gown! I paid $99 for a beautiful gown! I paid for 3 day shipping but got it in 2. I found that most of the bad reviews are from idiots who simply don't read the return policy. You are always taking a huge risk ordering anything online... so if something doesn't fit, looks like the picture, or the color is a little off... it's your own fault. I took the risk and I'm happy I did! It looked just like the picture and it fit like a glove! The only complaint is that the gown was too long, but it just needed to be hemmed.
