Bought a pair of shoes for my daughter as a birthday present. The shoes were too large (ordered same size she wears}. When I called to ask about an exchange was told I only have 5 days from receipt of product. I suppose they expected me too have her try on her birthday present a couple weeks in advance. I got an email on Tuesday saying that my dress had been shipped. I was so excited since i was originally expecting it to be shipped on May 4th which it said when i ordered it. I payed for 3 day shipping worried that it would not be here on time. The next day (Wednesday) i was surprised to see that it had arrived! It was almost a week and a half early! I was so happy and excited and relaxed now that i finally had my dress. It was the exact one i ordered and fit perfectly. I would definitely use this website again for any future proms.
My friend recommended this website to me for my senior prom dress. When I first ordered, my order failed, but the money was taken from my account regardless. I called to inform them, and the woman I talked to was extremely rude. After talking to someone different online, I was told it should take 2-6 days to put the money back in my account, well it actually took 2 weeks. My friend continued to encourage me to order it saying that it was probably something wrong with my PayPal account, claiming her dress had gotten to her super fast a week earlier. Well I ordered my dress, paying extra for 3 day shipping, hoping my dress would get here on time for my prom on may 2nd. It's been exactly one week, and I've yet to receive my dress.
For failed orders we do not collect your money but unfortunately there is a hold placed on the funds. It can take your bank 2-5 business days to release them back to you.

I have had 2 experiences from this company, which unfortunately ended up to be two of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. The first dress, a Mori Lee black dress, was sent to me in good condition. Being a size 0, I expected it to be a little long and I would take it to the tailor to get it fixed. Much to my surprise, the dress was more than just a "little" long. When hung from my 8 foot door frame, the dress almost touched the floor! The chest area was meant for someone with double D boobs. This dress was not meant for most size 0 girls. I was told that my shipping and restocking fee would be waived. The shipping fee was not waived. The second dress was this La Femme dress- also a size 0. I received the dress the day before my event and it was a size 8! As annoyed as I was, I called and told them the situation and they reassured me that this would be taken care of and I would receive all of my money back. Once again, my shipping fee was not waived. I was just fed up at this point and called to explain the situation. The person I talked to told me that the dress they received was a size 0! And that it was MY fault for not having taken pictures of the size 8 before shipping it back. Have you ever heard of something like this- telling the customer that they were basically lying? I always thought that customers are always RIGHT! I told them that I still had the hanger which the dress was hung from which stated that it was a size 8. Then they told me that the tag may have said size 8, but when the designer measured the dress, it was a size 0. So now, they switched the story and told me that it was labeled incorrectly? Then I waited 20 minutes to speak to a manager, which after the 20 minutes, the same girl came on the line saying that no one was available to speak to me and they would "do the best they can to refund the $8 shipping fee." I am just appalled by this. If a company considers $8 more important than a loyal customer, I suggest they figure out a different strategy because that will not last long.

The dress I ordered was absolutely beautiful in the picture but when i got it I was extremely dissapointed. I ordered the same colour as the picture but i got a white dress instead also only 50% of the beading is actually on the dress which makes it completely inappropriate for me to wear, literally unwearable. Also the size is wrong I ordered a custom size and I got my measurements done by someone who sews a lot and sews clothes, the measurements were perfect we triple checked and the dress fits extremely awkward its choking me and the sleaves are too tight the bust of the bodice is lose. And they wont give me anything more then a 15% refund. WARNING THIS SITE ONLY POSTS THE GOOD REVIEWS! Any review you submit gets "monitored" and they don't actually post the bad ones it is a complete scam!

Absolutely insane. The only good part of the dress was the beading that was actually done was done well, minus the fact that the beads were little plastic white things you could get from the dollar store.

So, I placed my order somewhere near the end of March, and it said that it would ship at the beginning of April, which it didn't until 3 days later - and that was okay with me, as long as it shipped before May. I was initially a tad bit worried because the shipping times weren't exact, but it did get to me in less than 2 weeks (I live in Calgary, Alberta, for those who are wondering) and no, there is no way it'd take 3-5 days if you didn't choose express shipping. The best part about it was that I did not get taxed for customs or duties, thank the lord, i was worried because it did ship by UPS and i've had terrible experiences at UPS, but thankfully not this time. In terms of the actual dress itself, it looks exactly like the photo, slight color difference but not noticeable, the sizing was pretty spot on for me (measure yourself correctly, ladies!), and besides the delayed shipment, everything else was simply on point. Don't worry, i was skeptical at first because i was paying around $300 for my dress, but now I'm super satisfied with my experience there. Thanks so much promgirl!
I ordered a prom dress from here and it came in just a few days. The size fit perfectly. I usually wear a size l-xl t-shirt and I looked at the size chart and I had to order a 3x size dress! Always go by the size chart for this site. When the first dress I ordered came, it was a completely different color than what was online so I returned it for a different color. The day after I ordered it, the dress dropped from $200 to $125 dollars. They refunded me the whole $200 and I got to order the new dress for a lot cheaper. The only downside was that it was now a "final sale" dress. I received the new dress and it was again a different color than it was online but no worries, it was still beautiful. The only major problem was that both of the dresses had zippers that would get stuck. It is very hard to zip up the dress even when its not on my body. Another problem I have is that you can't review the dresses on their actual site. I submitted twice and they never actually post the review so that you can see it.

This site is utterly terrible. I placed an order on this dress and it said it would ship by a certain date but then it suddenly went out of stock when I checked my order status. They were very quick to take my money and still have not even given me a refund. Then the next day I noticed the dress was available again so I contacted customer service about it. Then the representative tells me that the dress will ship on 5/27/15 even though it was listed as it'll ship on 5/1/15 on the site. Why would they put a date thats incorrect like that? Instead of fixing it immediately? So I asked about another color of that same dress as it says it'll ship within one business day. Then the representative proceeds to tell me that the dress will most likely be out of stock if i order it. WHAT IS THE FREAKING POINT OF LISTING A DRESS AS "IN STOCK" AND THAT IT'LL SHIP THE NEXT DAY IF YOU KNOW IT' WILL GO OUT OF STOCK. I just cannot understand. These people are idiots and unreliable.

I have ordered my dress on a Thursday and it arrived the Monday after, I was really surprised by the velocity of the shipping, plus shipping was free! The only "problem" I had was that when I checked the size on the chart of the website, my shoulders were an 11, my hips were a 5 and my wist was a 3, I didn't know what size to order, I went for a 3! Fortunately, when the dress arrived and I tried it on, it was just perfect!
Although my order was ordered one day ago and never shipped, they would not allow me to cancel my order "per their policy." So, I must wait for the dress to ship, then pay return shipping and pay a 10% restocking fee. All this while the dress just sits in their warehouse and they have to do zilch! I fully accept the fact that I would pay a restocking fee if I received the dress and then decided to cancel. But, I'm asking to cancel BEFORE the dress even ships! I will NEVER, EVER do business with a company like this again!
Unfortunately once your order is placed, you cannot change, alter, or cancel it in any way. This is agreed to at the time of the order. Our policy doesn't allow for cancellations because we begin to process each order as soon as possible and they are submitted to the warehouse or designer and cannot be cancelled with them. I ordered a dress from this site and while shipping was fast and the dress was what I expected I was charged 60 euros on delivery by UPS. This was a mix of tax, VAT and a brokerage fee. The VAT was twice what it should have been as PromGirl failed to note a shipping cost on the forms, which customs requires, so UPS was forced to make one up with a formula they use.
PromGirl also chooses to ship with UPS which regularly charges brokerage fees but does not note this on their website. In fact under shipping they only note that the seller is liable for 'customs and import charges.' Nowhere does it mention brokerage fees though they no doubt know that they are an inevitability when you ship with UPS.
When I attempted to get in contact with the company I sent multiple emails asking the general customer service who I should get in contact with regarding this issue. After a month and 2-3 emails I had yet to hear a word back. I assume they just didn't want to deal with the issue.
I am now attempting to get in contact through other means but the basic point is, be prepared to overpay, spend hours on the phone trying to get your money back and possibly possibly get the law involved if you choose international shipping.
My daughter had a prom dress and 2 days before prom the zipper broke. We found one on promgirl.com and had it over-nighted to us (across the US) and it got there as promised the next morning. It fit and was just perfect. Their customer service is wonderful and has later hours than normal business hours, so I could actually talk to a real person about my order. Promdress.com was a lifesaver for our prom.
This site is a scam. I ordered a dress large size, and they in turn sent the medium size. When I tried to return the dress I was told it was my problem and nothing to help me they can do, because the return is possible only for five days. They simply rid of that horrible warehouse sending to anybody. My worst experience of online shopping. Do not advise anyone.

I recieved a beautiful maggie Sottero flirt prom dress and fell in love with it. I noticed there were some odd folds I the pleating, but figured it was just from being folded in an box. Later did I realize the pleated are folded because there is a large rip under one of them! As well as the back clasps all falling off. Of course when I realized this it was far too late. I still love the dress and got a great deal. Just very disappointed that prom girl would knowingly sell a rip dress. As they say they do thorough inspections before being shipped out anyone 'inspecting' this dress would have noticed. So to say I am not 100% happy.
