I bought my dress Thursday night, I pay $30 shipping for next day delivery, the dress never came, I'm hopping they will realize how disappointed I am my event is tomorrow and I noticed that, bec you have bunch of questions when do you need the dress for. What event, these that, naw I seriously have and insult from you guys my dress would be delivers on Monday, I payed $30 for next day. So since Thursday night to Monday its gone be 5 days, I should not be paying at all for shipping than, but naw I want a full refund I payd extra money to get it on time, never came, si disappointed in neves shopping with u guys and I'm desputing my credit card with my bank if you don't give me money back

If the order is placed for an in stock dress on a Thursday night with overnight shipping, it should ship out on Friday and arrive 1 business day later on Monday. Business days are Monday through Friday, non-holiday. We apologize for any confusion!

If you're from Canada I would definitely order from here. Ive ordered from here several times with 0 problems. The only reason why its not a 5 star is because the shipping is $50 to Canada or $75 for expedited shipping.

In April I ordered a dress that stated the ship date would be April 6 or 8 (I can't remember exactly) but after I ordered it, I was sent an email stating its not scheduled to ship until April 16. Which wouldn't work because it takes 5-9 business days and I also have to add cap sleeves to my dress so it wouldn't be done in time for the event.

I contacted customer service right away and they were extremely helpful. They had it ship way earlier and they upgraded my shipping to expedited. I was really satisfied with their service :) I totally recommend this place.

I ordered a dress on here fof my boyfriend's military ball last fall. Wonderful quality, exactly as described. I love the free shipping and no tax. They have the best deals by far and they are 100% genuine about describing their dresses. Customer service was great, had one small issue (wasn'tevena huge deal, happened in processing) and they refunded me 50%. Wonderful. I won't shop anywhere else!

If like me you are based in Ireland, don't be fooled by the 'International Expedited delivery' costs that appear on checkout of this site. You will pay those, but you will ALSO have a nasty surprise when the UPS package arrives at your door, as I did.

My dress was already a hefty Eur184, then I was shocked to find out I was supposed to pay an additional Eur102.80 in 'VAT and Duty' charges upon delivery of the package. This is extra and on top of the price above, payable directly to UPS.

This is a huge amount of money: in no way what you would expect the vague 'Freight and VAT' to be, as described in Promgirl's (very) small print.

Crucially, at no point was this extra delivery amount communicated to me, so that I could make an informed decision on whether to go ahead or not. At no point this was mentioned in the online shopping process.

So you already pay International Expedited Charges on top of the price of your dress- and the UPS delivery is yet another fee they sneak up on you on delivery. The worst part is that the dress is there in front of you- you either pay, or don't get it. These are just sneaky practices: it should be made absolutely clear that there is another charge to be paid on delivery, and most importantly that this will be considerable (in my case, over half the price of the dress).

I was in touch with the Promgirl customer service on May 11th explaining all of the above, but I just got an automated reply with a link to their terms and conditions. Completely useless, and unhelpful. They were just not willing to get into a discussion about their practices.

So this is my only option to at least help someone else not fall into the same trap. Please make an informed decision before literally being robbed at your door, as I did.

The international shipping option is $35 for the first item. As stated on our shipping page and in the Terms and Conditions, all International shipments are subject to duties and taxes. Custom and import charges are not included in our shipping charges. We do not have an estimate for the fees because they can depend on your location, the item, and the current rate. So this is my second review and my experience with the company was fine. I of course was very hesatent to order from them because of the reviews but I was so fed up with looking online and only finding Chinese based websites. Promgirl is located with the US so I was pleased with that. Shipping was fine for me, my dress was shipped the day after and received it literally in one week. It would've been soon but it was memorial day weekend so :/ I feel like people shouldn't order the fast delivery. They delivery fairly quickly I find 3-7 days and I just read that the fast delivery only shows up late. Also if you are still hesitate I strongly suggest that you look for dresses in stores. Its hard to tell which websites are good also if you have a problem with the dress I've read the policy sucks so just shop in person if you can. I hope you this helped someone!

Wrong color

I ordered a dress from this site for my 8th grade dance. The color was described as champagne and in the photo available online looked to be a very elegant color. The dress arrived today and the color is nothing like it looks online. It is a very unpleasant ugly beige. It seems very dumb to make customers pay a restocking fee for a company fault. And also $8 dollars UNTOP of the that. It is never the customers fault for ordering a product that looks nothing like the real life thing.

First of all this company is not from China and the dresses look like the picture they are authorized to sell these dresses by the originally designers you can even look on Jovanni website Prom girl is authorized to sell these dresses.

I have ordered from Promgirl around three times and I haven't had any complaints. Packages have arrived on time if not earlier, great customer service and although the quality is not "the best" it is good for an one time activity. That must be the reason why prices are reasonable. Most of us won't wear a prom or weeding dress twice.

Today is May 13th, I ordered my dress May 8th it was supposed to come on the 10th but turns out the extra $17 was for nothing! Anyways fast forward to today when my dress came it was the wrong color! And then when we called the lady had an attitude & asked why couldn't I just wear that color. She also told us that they knew the color of the dress I wanted was on back order & simply figured that this color would do. IF I WANTED THE BEIGE DRESS I WOULD'VE PICKED IT! Prom is in 2 days, I'm not going anymore. :( I hope promgirl gets destroyed.

DRESS LOOKED FINE WHEN SIMPLY TRIED ON BUT WHEN WORN FOR A BIT (SAT DOWN AND MOVED AROUND IN DRES) THE FABRIC STARTED STICKING TO THE INTERFACING FABRIC (WHICH IS ON ANY DRESS WITH BEADING AND/OR BUILT IN BODICE) CREATING A WHOLE BUNCH OF INDENTATIONS AND PUCKERING. Poor Quality

Before you order anything, check to see if you can actually speak to a person. The phone was disconnected last time I checked. The dress that we ordered is the worst quality that I have ever seen. We are now frantically trying to find a dress because my daughter cannot wear the dress that was sent.The product is from China.

I ordered my dress for prom on May 5 and it was delivered on the may 7. It came faster than I predicted. If done correctly it will fit you. I inserted my sizes and am a size 0. It arrived EXACTLY how I ordered it-- red and size 0. It fit perfectly-- not too tight not too loose. Needed no alterations. If you want a good experience, I would suggest reading everything ( return policy, shipping time, etc) and enter YOUR correct measurements. Also, keep track of your dress. Try it! And if the site lets you down ship it back and get your money back. Don't let the negative reviews sway you. Some of them did not read before hand of the return policy, shipping time, etc. Im glad I went ahead and ordered instead of listening to the "warners" of purchasing online. I planned ahead just in case and read everything before I got the dress.

PromGirl looks attractive and it seems to be a good price/quality. BUT THAT IS NOT THE CASE!
Ordering from Europe the price is because of shipping costs and taxes etc. about 60% higher.
It is sad tthat a company with its target group teens and young adults does not warn clients properly!

I didn't know that returns had to be within 5 days. Ordered 3 dresses, used 1, and now we're stuck with the other 2 because it took us longer than 5 days to decide. This made the 1 dress cost 3 times as much! DO NOT BUY FROM PROMGIRL!

A dress was purchased using their sizing chart. The dress that arrived was beautiful. The size was wrong. It did not match their sizing chart. The promised a full refund including freight then once returned, without a phone call or email. They credited for product less 10%. For $9.00 they guaranteed themselves no repeat business.

The size charts provided are from the designer or manufacturer of the item. The chart will recommend a size to accommodate the largest measurement but ultimately the sizing is up to you! After reading so many negative reviews I was stressed that I had made a mistake purchasing a dress from Promgirl. (I read the reviews AFTER I placed the order). I am now happy that I didn't see those reviews first because I probably would not have purchased a dress from them and that would have been a mistake. My daughter picked out a dress that was regularly $398 but was marked down 50% and I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived today. (placed the order on Sunday and today is Tuesday) It was exactly how it appeared on the website - a gorgeous dress! I can tell you without hesitation that I will be purchasing from Promgirl again! Please do not let the negative reviews sway you away from this company.

Advice for everyone: ALWAYS look at the reviews of a website before ordering from them to know whether or not they're safe and reliable. I made the mistake of not looking up reviews on the PromGirl website, but it was too late because by the time I saw all of the terrible reviews I had already ordered my dress along with other products. On every review website I checked, it appeared that people did not receive their dress on time, people did not receive the dress they ordered, people did not receive an authentic dress, etc. -- a whole load of horror stories.

My Jovani dress was $300 and miscellaneous items came out to be around $100. I also selected next day shipping because I was ordering my dress last minute, which added another $30 onto my order. So altogether my total was a little bit over $450. You could imagine how much I freaked out after reading all of those bad reviews.

However, I finally received my products yesterday in the mail and I couldn't have been any happier. All of my items were correct and in perfect condition when I got them. I received the exact authentic dress that I ordered in top notch quality and it even came with extra rhinestones in case anything happens to the dress. Inside the box was also an invoice as per usual, and even some coupons for other useful services for prom (like Uber), and a nice 'Thank you' letter. My dress is absolutely beautiful and I feel like a princess in it.:)

I understand being wary because of the terrible reviews so you don't HAVE to order from PromGirl... but my personal experience with them was great. I'll post a photo of the items I ordered if anyone is interested.
