Initially I never got an email confirming my order and instead had to contact the website to find out if my order actually went through. Once I got my cheaply made dress that didn't fit I wanted to return it. I requested to return and was never contacted, so I again contacted the website inquiring. Bought my daughter a gown from this website. I was apprehensive because of the negative things I've been hearing about it. But due to my daughter's insistence, I bought what she wanted. When the package arrived, a gown with rips and torns presented itself! When i read their returns and exchange policies, they were ridiculous! 10% restocking on all refunds?! You use their shipping label and they will deduct $8 from the price of the item?! All items marked "store credit only" & "final sale" are non-refundable?! I'm not even sure IF their website is secure! IN SHORT, PURCHASE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I ordered my (in stock) dress last week with 3 day shipping. It was scheduled to ship Monday morning and subsequently get here Wednesday. It is now a week after ordering my dress and no confirmation email, no shipping information, nothing. I finally called customer service this morning to see what was going on and the only response that the lady could give me was "I don't know". She told me that the dress had not been shipped yet and I got that same response. She said she would try to get it shipped out if she could. Nothing other than that. No refund for my expensive 3-day shipping cost which obviously wouldn't be 3 days. I would not have paid for 3 day shipping if I knew that this would happen. Waste of money. Others that I told this to suggested that they should have done free overnight shipping. The rude and negligent customer service attendant would not even offer my shipping refund. I am very mad and will never order a dress from this site again. Next time, I will choose a site that ACTUALLY SHIPS THEIR PRODUCTS OUT. It would be one thing if promgirl shipped it out on Monday(Like supposed to) and UPS/FedEx/USPS had the problem with it taking longer to ship. But its not even the mail delivery's mistake, its this unorganized company's.

I had my fair share of concerns about ordering a prom dress online, so I was a bit nervous when I found a dress I loved through promgirl and decided to go ahead and buy it. Luckily for me, I could not be more pleased. The dress was shipped the very next day and I was able to track my package until the exact moment it was on my doorstep... and it was right on time! It took me two days to get my dress and it was packaged very nicely. As I was cautious about not being able to try it on before I bought it, I did a lot of measuring while consulting the size chart and a few consultants on the website. The dress fits like it was made especially for me it's crazy! Also, not a single flaw was on the dress anywhere. The fit was great, the length was long enough, the details were spectacular, I am so, so incredible happy. I've never reviewed a website before but I had to because I was just so pleased. From initially being a bit skeptical I am now over the moon. 10/10.

I live in Europe and taxes for a $299 dress is 155. UPS will call you telling you that so they can deliver the package. Well, you give up the buying and UPS tells you that will return the package to the sender. Are you refund? NO! Promgirl just tells you that you had abandoned your order so they can authorize a return of a package that wasn't deliver.
Never thought this could happen in a US website. Shame on you!

I ordered a dress 2 months in advance for my wedding. 2 days before the shipping date, and 3 weeks before my wedding, I received an email from promgirl.com stating that the dress was unavailable and that I would not be receiving my dress that I paid for months ago. Now I don't have a dress for my wedding. I would like to warn everyone to STAY AWAY from this unprofessional website. What a joke!

I wish I would have come here before purchasing a dress from this site. I ordered a small and it did not fit my daughter. I had to send it back (within their short time frame), which I did. I had to pay the $8 shipping fee and then either choose to get store credit or lose 10% due to their restocking fee. Ok, I accepted that, but when I tried to place a new order getting a medium, they would not let me use the coupon I had used when I placed the original order. They said the coupon had expired. I explained numerous times that it was just to get the same dress, a larger size. He flatly told me there was nothing he could do and there was no discount he could give me. Then I asked for a manager and he chuckled and said, 'ok, hold on'. After holding for a bit, I hung up. I called back and got someone else. They told me the same thing and then said the manager just told her that there were no coupons and they couldn't help me. I'd have to pay regular price. She wouldn't even let me talk to the manager. I have actually never had such awful customer service from a company before and will never order from this company again. I will make sure my family and friends are aware of all the trouble and horrible service. (Not to mention the dress did feel very thin and cheaply made.)

To be honest, the reviews I read on this company ALMOST scared mr away. I ended up ordering anyway because the $50 dress I liked was on sale (as a final sale, no refunds) and I found a discount code online, so the final total was less than 20 bucks and I figured I didn't have much to lose.
I AM SO GLAD I ORDERED! My dress arrived in 4 days, fabric feels strong, yet soft, and looks exactly like it was shown on the model. I ordered my size based on the chart, fits perfect. Pretty happy with my purchase.

EXTREMELY sad. Ordered a bridesmaid dress. The dress was shown on the website under the PINK section/filter (I needed a light pink/blush dress). The photo used for marketing the dress-also a light pink. However I ordered the dress, and it came to me as a peach color. I am them told I can't return since it is"final sale". I was somehow supposed to see the small print saying peach-and not TRUST product integrity that the photo AND filter that their site provides are accurate. Seems extremely unprofessional and a poor way to take care of your customers. So so disappointed.

After reading a lot of mixed reviews, I hesistantly bought a dress from promgirl.com. It was supposed to ship out on Jan. 19, but it shipped on Jan. 13 and got to my house on Jan. 19! The dress looked just like the picture and it's stunning! The only problem is theres 1 gem missing. Otherwise, i would totally recommend this site to everyone. The lady I talked to was so nice!
Estimated delivery dates on website are FAR from accurate. My original order said the dress would ship in February. Since we've been burned in the past with dresses being out of stock when we went to order, we placed our order. A February delivery would have given us plenty of time to make sure this was "the dress" The dress actually arrived shortly before Christmas. We should have looked closely right away, but didn't given the holidays. When we called in January to see if we could exchange for a more expensive dress on their site, we were treated curtly and rudely. A 7 day return policy for a dress shipped two months early and during the holidays is ridiculous. And we weren't asking for a refund - we were actually asking to spend more money! Customer service doesn't know what service means. No flexibility in any of their policies. If you know exactly what you want and have tried it on somewhere else, then maybe. Otherwise, go elsewhere.

Placed my order on Christmas day (yes I understand it will not be sent out until the next business day) and the Assistant Manager Kathy told me that the dress I ordered for NYE and paid $17.00 for 3 day shipping would not be delivered until the 4th?! Might have chosen the wrong shipping time, but instead of changing it she told me to place ANOTHER order and select the $22.00 shipping option. So for $5.00 they lost my order instead of changing the shipping option to get there one day earlier. Never even attempted to fix it, just asked if I wanted to cancel... of course I do & now the fight for my money back will begin. Terrible customer service, I highly do not recommend ordering from this site.

First of all, I don't know whether I am more mad or sad about my experience. I am a high school student that has my junior prom coming up in January and I decided to buy a dress months in advance so in case anything went wrong, I would be able to get a backup. However, after shopping at promgirl I feel like I was scammed out of $300, and honestly can't afford any other dress at the moment. For a teenager my age, $300 is a lot, in fact i don't even have money for anything... Before ordering from this website I had read the return policy over and over again, I basically knew it by memory. At the time I had bought my dress it was at full price and not a final sale. After receiving the dress I felt it was too big and decided to return/exchange it, as I had just spent $300 and did not want to pay for alterations. I went online about 2-3 days after receiving and requested a return number. I had no idea how long it would take for them to get back to me so I waited it out. However, 2 weeks later and no email, I contact customer service only to have them tell me I can no longer return it because it was passed the return period. Though I absolutely knew I requested a number, they could only tell me it was not recorded and would not accept that it could have been a mistake in the system. I had a back and forth conversation, trying to tell them I was sure I put in a request and could not afford to keep this dress, only to have it sitting in the closet. They showed me no empathy whatsoever. Stupidest decision i have ever made shopping here, totally ruined the whole prom experience for me.

I meant to write this review much sooner but time got away from me... my daughter ordered a dress through them for homecoming. We ordered a size bigger based on measurements and we thought for safety but it came and did not fit... I followed the return policy to a tee but they still would not follow it at their end. (I have all emails and their policies from their webpage saved). The true kicker was their blatant lie to me, that it took five tailors a week to make the dress and could never be resold because they are custom. Well... I ordered the evening of Sept 10th and it was shipped to me the morning of Sept 14, it was at my doorstep 6 days after the order was placed and that included the weekend. So much for 7 days making! Moral to story, do you want to do business with a company like that, you can make your own judgment.

Ordered a dress for my 30th I ordered a larger size just to be on the safe side as reviewers have written small sizes, I don't think they are, I feel there true to size, instead of sending it back I'm having it taken in by a seamstress, the dress is stunning, I would buy of them again.
