I place a small order 4 days ago and it still hasn't been shipped. I had a similar experinec with Amazon and thought I'd try this site out, but it's worse!
For music fans who are CD buyers, Oldies.com is indispensible. Great catalog that spans contemporary to historic, pop to the weird and wacky and every transaction has been spot-on. Thanks for the great service.
Oldies.com is a great online spot to shop for "dusties" to shop for their "dusties"! I wish they would expand their selection of artists for contemporary jazz and "old school" soul music!
I recently purchased two DVDs from Oldies.com. For some reason, the U.S. Postal service claimed the address I provided, which is my home address, was undeliverable. I do not blame Oldies.com for this. But instead of providing me with a full refund, they still charged me for the shipping fee even though the package was never delivered to me.
On 24 Dec 2020, I returned severely damaged DVD product Order no: *******. Oldies.com received return of damaged item Tracking no: LK*******AU on 23 Jan 2021. Oldies.com agreed to Refund cost US$24.32 plus Return postage AUS$21 from Australia of damaged item. Notwithstanding in excess of least 6 phones calls (tel: *******565) & several emails to Oldies to date I have not received Refund of postage Aus$21. Oldies.com choose to ignore my 6 requests for Refund which they claim is being Refunded since 23 Jan 2021.
Made a 10 DVD order, 4 months later went to watch a new movie, opened packaging and an anti-theft devise was attached to the disc. I called and they send I would have to pay for shipping back to them. When they got it I was contacted that they do not accept returns after 30 days because of "Pirating Concerns". Clearly the DVD was unusable and why did they tell me to ship it back? They refunded the $$ that I paid to ship it back but I'm out the money for the DVD. Something is wrong here. Never Again!
I had previously ordered from this company a few times when I ordered the Godfather Trilogy and a book about movie speeches. I received an email stating that my movies had been delivered to my mailbox. I checked and they were not there. I waited a few days and visited my local post office. They tracked the package and saw that it had at least been near my apartment complex but did not know exactly what box it had been placed into. I then called Oldies and was treated very rudely by a representative. I asked to speak with someone that may care about my little situation. The rep put me on hold. After I sat on hold for some time, I hung up and called back. The next person was a bit more understanding but insisted that it was not their responsibility and I needed to take it up with the post office. I explained that I had already done this and she told me to do it again. So, I did. I went back to the post office and they could not do anything except look in the back to see if it just happened to be there. It was not. I called Oldies back and spoke to the person that told me that their responsibility ended when they handed the product over to the USPS. She told me that they would not send me another set of DVD's and would not refund my lost money. The total cost was around $18. Sadly, they were willing to lose me as a customer for about $18. I do not recommend anyone purchasing anything from these rude people.
Excellent company to do business with, honest, trustworthy, capable, available, fun site to use...
Best place to buy all your movies and music. They have cd dvd cassette lp and vhs. Great place I say. I can find something I want everytime I go on the site.
I watched a dim, soft-focused copy of "Portia on Trial" with Walter Abel and Frieda Inescort on Youtube, enjoyed it very much, and decided to buy what I thought would be a nicer copy from Oldies.com. No such luck. The Oldies version looks suspiciously like the Youtube version. But shame on me! I've rarely ordered a film from Oldies that wasn't a tremendous disappointment.
I purchased what I thought was a fairly comprehensive package that contained Close To The Edge from YES. It was listed as the CD & Blu-Ray combo that contained a blu-ray disc with multiple version of the classic album including high resolution audio, a highly regarded 5.1 surround mix, needle drop recording, instrumental album and various rare performances. They charged me over $116 for this but send me a stand redbook CD. This are widely available and sell for $4.99 at Target. Classic case of bait and switch.
Oldies.com has a lot of hard to find CDs. Have been able to find lots of stuff I've been looking for. Also current music too. Great selection and service.
I ordered 4 of Cinderella's Heartbreak station limited to 1000 vinyl at $25.10 a pop. After a couple of days, Bernie McCabe sent me an email saying this item is only available in CD format. It clearly stated on their website "Cinderella Heartbreak Station [Light Blue Translucent Vinyl]" so I went back to the website and doubled check and now the price just got jacked up to $56. I emailed him back and said I ordered the vinyl format because there is no such thing as Limited to 1000 to CD format. Also told him, I ordered the vinyl format so I expect to receive the vinyl and not the CD format. A day had passed and then he refunded me the full amount I paid by saying this "again we apologize - we just were informed by the Vinyl buyer that at this time the LP is not Available, truly Sorry for the inconvenience
A total disappointment of course. Will issue a Full Refund to your Pay/Pal acct. Once Again PLEASE accept our apologies, Best Regards. Today I just checked again now the price went back to 25.10 and still on CD format but the link to order is still Cinderella Heartbreak Station [Light Blue Translucent Vinyl]. What a joke hiked the price just like a scalper would do.
When I order from Oldies.com they seem to always have the music I want and I receive them in very good condition.
I placed my order on November 28 and still cannot get a clear answer as to why it hasn't shipped. I've spoken with 3 different representatives - 2 whom were pleasant and professional, and 1 whose name is M***a, who was rude and unhelpful - and they've stated the product is in stock and should have shipped. I've explained that this is part of a box of gifts being shipped across the U.S. and it's holding that up. I tried to cancel today and the unhelpful representative mentioned above said it cannot be canceled because it's "wrapped in the warehouse."
Lesson learned - wouldn't buy from them in the future.
Ordered one record on the 12th of November, status was currently processing until today, December 2nd, when they cancelled my order. They used to be a good site, now they are a joke. Will never order from them again.
I've ordered from oldies.com several times and I've always received my merchandise in a timely manner and their prices can't be beat.
Ordering was easy, as was checkout and payment. Product arrived in excellent condition. My only complaint is that shipping seems a bit slow. Other than that, I highly recommend oldies.com.
I am always ordering oldies music on CD for my eldest brother who is disabled, in a wheelchair and has cerebral palsy; his insatiable desire for music and new CDs is the light of his life and keeps him going. Oldies.com has never let us down, has a great selection, great service and fast shipping!
Oldies.com as an excellent supply of CDs, DVDs, and other items like books and magazines. The service is excellent, and they are always willing to help you. I highly recommend this site.
Answer: Yes the are original artist on original recording. They also have reissue of recording too.
Answer: I've been a customer of Oldies.com for quite a few years now and have never had a problem.
Answer: I had a similar problem and had to call them (since they don't call back or at least e-mail you when there's going to be a delay), only to find out they were at fault for charging me shipping when my original order was well over $75 (then minus my huge credit) therefore nothing was wrong!
