I heard from NACA from a family member and I decided to check it out. Once i did i decided to go for it and stared the process immediately so we can get approved. The people there are very knowledgeable and friendly they will help you on every step of the way! Definitely recommend.
The process can be long and tedious but I will say it forces you to take a hard look at your finances. The workshop and the workbook are very informative as well. Most of the information you have to provide is straightforward. Overall in my experience so far I would recommend using NACA.

Would be a great program without the racist, if they responded to your concerns. Applied for a job and never heard back at all after several attempts.

I rented a home for six years, and one day my landlord informed me that she was going to sell it. So, I started looking for a new home with the option to buy. However, it was not an easy process. However, I am grateful for the experience as it taught me a lot about my spending habits and what it takes to become a homeowner. I had a great experience with the NACA program. My counselor helped me to learn how to budget, save, and manage my monthly bills more effectively. Before working with NACA, I wasn't always responsible for paying my bills, but the program "compelled" me to be more intentional about saving and budgeting. And for that, I am grateful. I'm excited about what this process means for my future. I started the process in November 2022 and I am now on the last leg of my journey. I am due to close my new home in May 2024. I'm writing this review to share my positive experience with NACA and encourage others to join the program to buy their own home.

If you have low standards of professionalism and absolutely nothing but time and you are not looking to move anytime soon, stick around. If you expect white-glove treatment or a stellar customer experience then you may want to look elsewhere. I have not talked to a single person yet that has made me feel confident that we will be able to buy a home soon. They do not call back, answer emails, get to appointments, or scheduled events on time. They even sent me another member's personal information when sending me documents! Today we started at 9 AM, following our place in the queue for our Achieve the Dream event, literally checking the website every 10-20 minutes to check our spot in line, only to finally get an email at 7:54 saying to join the web meeting. Then it should come as no surprise that when we joined the meeting, you guessed it - NO ONE WAS THERE! We had to wait a month and a half for this appointment. I suggest going elsewhere.
My Mortgage Consultant is really nice and knowable. Explain everything in detail. Make sure you have all your paperwork together and keep up with everything needed. I'm looking forward to the next few months as i continue in this process.

I was first introduced to NACA through my friend who bought her first house from them. What made this program attractive to me was the no closing costs, no down payment, no additional fee's, and the low interest rates. I signed up in October 2020 and attended the initial workshop. I am currently in the process of trying to get qualified. I would recommend paying down debts, saving some money, and keeping your bank accounts clean (No frequent non-payroll deposits like cash app etc. and no overspending) before you enroll in the program. Doing this could make the road to qualification much smoother. I recommend this program to anyone who is interested in home ownership. Especially single parents! It is possible!
