Having just moved to the area, I didn't know where to start with finding tradies to do all different jobs round the house. Had nobody to ask for recommendations.
Using My builder.com meant I could see reviews from previous customers, and every job I posted got many replies. I could choose the more local tradies to give an estimate, feeling more confident because any poor quality work would have been flagged up in the previous customer reviews.
I've used the site for several different jobs, and I'm very happy.

I have used my builder a few times to find different services, the first time was for a damp course, which in the end i did not need, but for the chap that came out to quote, i may have ended up paying for it when i did not need it, he said i only needed pointing done. Second time was for someone to cap gas fire, he was brilliant, then last week i was looking for a plasterer, but none were available on this site, so used a different service that also looks for genuine tradesmen.

Just post your job and short list traders after reading reviews and going looking on there web site if they have one, i did not short list anyone who had not got one, just personal preference and wait to be contacted agree a time to look and quote for your job then pick one trader to do the work you don't have too contact the others who you asked to quote my builder will do that for you. I have used the site before and will use again without doubt if a professional needs to hired. I have also told work colleagues about my builder already i posted a job for a bathroom refit and submitted my feedback for the trader i hired who i have nothing but praise for.so to sum up, all i can say is its a very easy site to use is my builder

They did an excellent job of making our garage look top-notch (replacing the fascias / guttering / window / door) in uPVC.
As a company, their customer service was just excellent and the finished product has put a smile on our faces.
The price is what Ste says it will be (all properly written and drawn up) and no sudden extras and they turn up when they say they will turn up and get stuck in.
You can't go wrong if you use them and will be pleased.

I recently had Aimdex tiling quote & take £350 for fitting tiling to my kitchen floor. We got Tony all bits needed. Tony and Nick came round and finally started working at after 6 cups of coffee each which I noted they made themselves without asking me if it was alright. They finished the job and quickly told my mother to pass the money over and she can't walk on the tiles so stay put and they will see themselves out. They have left tiles uneven, cracked some and left so much wastage from wrong cuts. After 27 calls, several unanswered emails and texts, Tony finally said he would be round by 8.30am. 3 hours later I called his mobile and he said he slept in late sorry he wpuld be over shortly. Another 2 hours have passed and he lives 20mins away. He has not attempted to come and fix the issues, offer a refund and I am now a dissapointed and saddened customer! I do not want him doing this to anyone else!

Great place to post a job you need doing. I posted a gardening job and it was finished to my great satisfaction
