I have only been using Mybuilder since March 2014, but in that time I have come across some great tradesmen. The website itself is easy to use and a lot of traders are registered there from electricians to builders, plumbers to decorators.
When you advertise a job you don't wait long before a tradesman contacts you.
My latest job was to have my switches and sockets changed and Phillip Dunn from PD Electrics sent two of his team over Brian and Dan and they were fitted in an hour.
Mybuilder was the website I chose and mybuilder has delivered on more than one occasion.
If you need any job doing no matter how small go directly to Mybuilder, do not pass go and get a first class job done!

The simple point is they do not vet their advertisers. The builder I engaged from this site had no Public Liability Insurance although on My Builder he was advertised as having it.
Secndly his address was false.
Thirdly Although advertised as a professional with a website after I engaged a private detective to track him down we discovered he was in fact a traveller living in a caravan.
Overview.
Anyone can set up a professional looking website and get themselves excellent online reviews, false or otherwise.
My. Builder were not at all interested. Why should they be. Their income is derived from their advertisers who wish to look good and will pay for it.
Whetheret or not they operate in the consumers interest is highly questionable. They certainly didn't in my case.
You cannot beat a word of mouth recommendation. My recommendation do not use sites such as My Builder. I never will again.

I have used Mybuilder members for jobs both inside and outside of the house. I can say without hesitation the response to my requests has been amazing. Each trade provided an accurate assessment of requirements and completed the jobs in good time, good order and with the utmost professionalism. Prices given are fair and reasonable. The organisation can be recommended to all walks of life. I will always use in future

I've used MyBuilder fo 4 different jobs recently. Plastering, wooden flooring, cabin building and to provide an electricity supply to the cabin. I received several quotes for each job and then selected the tradesman for each task. Each one performed an excellent job. All were punctual, hardworking and the finished tasks were done to a professional standard. I would definitely recommend MyBuilder and use them again.

MyBuilder helped me find three excellent tradespeople for paving, driveway and wooden flooring. Three projects that were very very reasonably priced but with a first class finish. Definitely restored my faith. It was very easy to post the project I needed and I received responses very quickly.

I have used MyBuilder three times for different trades, carpentry, electrical and fitting flooring. Each time the website has helped in planning the work to be undertaken, getting the wording right to help tradespeople decide whether to quote, being able to see profiles of local tradespeople and their feedback before inviting them to quote.

I have felt in charge of the process throughout. My details, apart from postcode, are not shared with the tradespeople until I want them to quote.

Tradespeople on My Builder are also keen to keep their reputation for repeat work and good feedback is therefore important.

Excellent site. As landlords we often need assistance very quickly, MyBuilder has been wonderful at getting a response from builders to jobs without the time consuming effort of looking through pages and pages of tradesmen, not knowing what they are like. The feedback reviews are priceless.

Makes life so much easier having tradesmen coming to you. Reviews and photos of the work really help.

I've used my builder.com three times now and see no reason OT to use them in the future. In each case I've received a variety of quotes so its wise to obtain and / or invite at least 3 firms to quote. One job had a quote of twice the the price of the firm we used.
We have found all the companies to be reliable, clean, courteous and professional.
It's a good system.

I have found my builder.com very helpful. I can see what other customers have thought about the work done for them before making a decision for myself. I will certainly use this as a way of finding tradespeople in the future.

I found mybuilder a good way of getting tradesman in for work. I like how you can post the job and get people who know that they can fix it replying. You can view their feedback and pictures before agreeing to get the work done so it's safer than picking someone at random.

My builder has made moving home a lot easier as the flat needed a bit of work, carpet and the like. You always get a really quick response and I've not once had a bad experience so I use the site whenever I need anything doing and the tradesman always do a fab job, in fact I would ask them back to do further improvements to the flat. My Builder.com is a fantastic tool when it comes to searching for a trades person. I always read the trade persons profile along with their customer feed back. As of yet I have not been disappointed as I have successfully hired a builder, a plasterer plus a joiner.

My Builder has been a godsend for us! We were having huge amounts of hassle even to get workmen round to quote for jobs and then we discovered the site. Problem solved! I have now posted 3 jobs and the tradesmen I selected have all been local, professional, reliable and good at what they do. We will be using them again but will also continue with My Builder for any new types of work as the reviews give you the reassurance that you are selecting trustworthy companies.
