Recently I have had the need of several tradesman while refitting my bathroom and getting my shower up and running.
I needed the services of a Plaster, a Tiler and finally a Plumber.
This where, while browsing on-line, I came across MyBuilder.
I could not believe how simple finding a local tradesman could be. You enter your own details, address post code etc, post your job requirements on the site along with who you need, Plaster on this occasion, and within seconds you get a list of that type of tradesman on a drop down list, usually the nearest to you first. Amazing. You then choose up to five Tradesmen to select and then wait for them to contact you via the site with quotes. Through MyBuilder I got a Plaster, a Tiler and finally a Plumber. So easy with all the trade guys doing first rate jobs at really keen prices. So glad I found them and wont use any other site for future work.

I have used My Builder.com on three occasions so far this year and found this was the easiest and most convenient way to find tradesmen for the jobs I required doing rather than having to look on Yell.com or in my local newspaper or trade guide to locate tradesmen and then to have to ring them and wait for them to visit my home in most instances before quoting for a job.
I will not hesitate to use this site again for future jobs I require doing.

Very disappointed that i expressed my concerns and reported the company i used on this website. They seemed not to care about who uses this site as long as they can make money from the builders. The sites main priority is to make money and that lets any builders join (cowboys). To improve they need to allow pictures to attached for feedback on the builders. I got proof of how bad this building company is and how they left me with a huge amount of money to spend to put things right. All mybuilder did was to point me in the direction of going through the legal system which will just cost me more money.

Work started but next day boss went away due to personal problems&only turned up on the 9th day.
1 of his employees asked me for 200 as he was desperate&had nowhere to stay (I was promised the boss would cover it) It turns out he's a cocaine addict, drunk&a gambler&the boss said I was stupid to give him money because I'd fed his habit! Obviously I hadn't been told about this! Needless to say I've been ignored now for 10 days, my calls&texts unanswered. Left in the road was a ton bag of rubble/cement uncovered for several days which all the neighbours complained to me about as their cars were covered then it rained so difficulty cleaning it off. My lovely black limestone slabs look a real state! I was promised it would be cleaned but no one been for 10 days. Edge cement is breaking up&pointing's crumbling. Every slab is stained with cement. I've got no receipt for my £3,000+ & no guarantee. As usual I will end up having to pay someone else to sort out the mess he's left me with. I was so good to his team, bought them lunch every day, even lent the bosses 2 boys a toy each belonging to my grandson which I've repeatedly asked for. I've given several day's notice that I'm taking it to a lawyer at 2pm on Oct 1st but still I've had no response. He quite obviously has moved on to other jobs&simply isn't bothered! Feel very let down&hurt by this

I have use the website and find london building service company owne by the worse escrow ever.
I now find myself with debt because of him. I don't even know where to start... i basically paid the total amount plus 2 times " for extra " find myself paying around 10 000 pounds.
The job never been finished. Even worse the builder broker the sink in the bathroom, broke a cable for the washing machine and cause water damage in the all house the bathroom tiles are half put in the floor.

He use a fake carpet very thin carpet wich is already damage.
It's been 5 months now that i am struggling with 2 rent to pay as yhe house is not habitable. I have contacted the website and even if i have prouf with oocture they didn't want to hear nothing because the builder as good review.
So he has good reviews so he can destroy someone house and life and this is acceptable...
No one even responded to me. I would say to not trust this website as the builders aree not all professional. I asked the opinion of another company who was absolutely shocked by the quality of work even the quote was made like by a kid.
But i had trust on the website which was a big mistake...

MyBuilder is my go to site when we need work done. We started using it about four years ago when we bought our house and have had a great experience so far. It's easy to post photos and describe the job - particularly good if you're not sure exactly which sort of tradesman you need. I also like using smaller, local tradesmen rather than the bigger companies - they always do a great job as they are keen to promote themselves. Feedback is everything on MyBuilder.

I've used my builder.com for several jobs whilst doing up a buy to let property. All the tradespeople I've used so far have been honest, fair in price, and responsive to correspondence. I normally get a fair few response from tradespeople who are keen to work, and they've always turned up on time, given a reasonable quote and been reliable if appointed. It's made life much easier, and the review feature gives you confidence in who you choose to work with. I'll be continuing to use the website from now on rather than our local forum.

I have used My builder for several jobs around my properties.

The tradesman have always done a satisfactory job and the process has been very easy.

I had just advertise the job, get several quotes, look at the feedback and hire. It is difficult to find reputable companies and my builder takes away the stress of finding someone.

The people on the site need good reviews in order to grow there business so you get a good quality of tradesman.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the site

No quality control on tradesmen. They do no checks on tradesmen. Anyone can join. In my case they said they can't even contact the tradesman who has left the with half done and never returned. Later I found the tradesman had bailiffs and police after him. My Builder washed their hands off and took no responsibility. This is what they wrote:

"They are not our client, they are a member of MyBuilder, we provide them with a service. You are their customer and they should be addressing your complaint. I'm very sorry but I will have to close this case".

I have used this site for all the jobs I cant do in my house...
Double glazing, electrical work, tiling, fitting a bathroom suite.

It is far easier than using the Yellow Pages...

The feedback system really helps you choose the right person

This is the 3d plumber that i had coming to deal with the problem i had with the hot water in the flat.
I was so pleased with Safet, He came not only on time of our appointment, but within 30 min he identified the problem, which the other 2 could not see,
I could not believe it, Words can nod describe how grateful i am for his professional job, And the charge is within the London range, But what is most important is that any penny is worth giving him:-) Thank you again
