I had an account with my builder for 1.5 year. I have a lot of excellent review from my customers about the services I provided them. Last year I did work for someone who apparently is a doctor. I did not ask for any deposit thinking well his is doctor and for sure he will give me my money. But that was a huge mistake as when I asked him to pay the money he owed me, he threatened me by saying he will write a bad review. But I had to ask for my money as I have financial commitment and have to support my family. Anyway, he refused to pay me and wrote a bad review which is totally lie and unfair.

I then emailed my builders customer support team asking for their support and help and in my email I mentioned that I have all the proof they may need to be sure that his review is a lie and that is not fair specially from someone who is a doctor.

Unfortunately, I had a surprising email from my builders saying that they decided to close my account to protect their web users.

I have to say that I am so disappointed that they closed my account and put me in financial difficulties and B they ignored my email and concerns about the review that is total lie and unfair.

I just do not know how they can be unfair to that extent.

I am a tradesman as Gas Safe registered engineer. My Builder makes money by charging shortlist to tradesman. The job worth £100 the shortlist fee is £5. If there are 5 tradesman supplied the quote and if customer select all 5 of them then all 5 tradesman will be charged £5 wether you get the job or not. As a tradesman you will be invoice for £5 but you have now no job but still you to pay for it as customer shortlisted you. So my builder would make £25 from tradesman a job costing not more than £100. This is recently i experienced. I think this company is not doing legitimate business conning the tradesman who work hard to earn money. On the other hand making customer write positve feedback about the company. I request tradesman be very careful when opting for leads which may surprised you with fat invoice.

My builder is a rip off tie tradesman. Great for the customer as all they see is "it's free"! Not for tradesman that pay for leads that doesn't even guarantee the job.
For example small jobs that a tradesman can only charge £20 at the most, mybuilder.com ask for £4 plus vat. Now for the tradesman to travel and do the job then pay mybuilder.com price plus vat really isn't worth a fart for a tradesman that would normally happily help out and do it at a reasonable price.
Ok mybuilder say they've done the advertising leg work for you but they price the leads way off! Especially when the job poster doesn't explain the job properly.
It's cost me hundreds on leads from meeting with customers that have changed their minds sunce and actually don't want the job doing any more.
Definitely not worth the cost in my opinion.

Had a bathroom fitter carry out a re fit of my bathroom, finishing was terrible, told him I was devastated with the work. He came back and put some things right. On his profile he says says he always prides himself in achieving perfection for all my customers. That's a joke! He also claims he belongs to uk trades federation, this is not true. I am considering legal action. I have asked him to return for a second time as still very unhappy and upset by his work. He refused and said his work was acceptable. It certainly is not acceptable. I have had 2 opinions by other Bathroom Fitters for which I have paid for their written opinions, interesting reading.

This is not what it needs to be for customers. There is a contractor there that is blatantly misleading people They will end up on rogue traders or watch dog one day, i informed My builders.com about how they fleeced me, as they advertise with them as requiring no deposit up front. This is a lie, they plead and manipulate you to pay until most of the money is paid and then they disappear without finishing the job. When they start they are charm itself, but it's not genuine and the standards are like you wouldn't believe. They use cheap materials. I informed My Builders, they couldn't care less. By the way, avoid, Bensons Home Care They are full of lies

Today was a good day of experience in that the outcome of the day was such that there really were no winners on the subject in hand. I just wished that Mybuilder didn't believe a reviewer which lead to my action. I took Mybuilder to court which cost me the fee and Mybuilder at least 5-10k in legal fees. Mybuilder were desperate to defend their terms and conditions. The court I. A way found no Harassment against me by Mybuilder however the previous judge said I he thought it was business interference resulting in Mybuilder holding a review against my domain address connected to another company causing a lack of work. The Police who investigated the reviewer put in writing via a full investigation that they could not see what the reviewer was complaining about but for what ever reason Mybuilder wanted to believer her and her friend who both wanted to get out of paying for work done. The reviewer was a fraud if truth. Yet, Mybuilder wanted to believe them at all costs even to the point of spending thousands in legal advice. Mybuilder should take a step back and really look into clients using reviews as a tool of blackmail when they do not want to pay the agreed price or extras for work done despite emails, text messages saying how wonderful I was as a contractor, We contractors should all get together and bring a class action against Mybuilder

I was unfortunate as I advertised in my builder.com to renovate my flat in London completely. I chose Tudor construction services LTD. They were absolutely awful. Everything they did was faulty and awful. There was leaking from plumbing windows etc. The flat downstairs ceiling came down nearly killed people. This was only a part of the problems there was all sort of problem with tiling painting etc. They were so dangerous and irresponsible. I wrote a review on my builder. The company and my builder came back to me promising me to sort out the problems. They superficially sorted out the downstair flat without coming to my flat promising there would not be any leak. After few weeks leak started again in downstairs I contacted my builder.com to reinstate my review they declined to do that. They told me that when you leave review IT can not be amended. I told him if it can not be amended why did you remove my review they did not have any answer. They are a partner in crime with the traders. They support cowboys. Lots of traders on their website are cowboys. They advertise on my builder as they are not able to get a job through recommendation. Please do not use my builder.com.

I had the misfortune to sign up to these bandits. I paid for leads £25 each and never actually got any work. Why? Because mybuilder elaborated the job leads to make them sound better than they were, people who wanted inflated insurance quotes, people just bored who had nothing else to do, people who wanted you to give them free advice. But no real leads that would lead to work.
The last straw came when I contacted a client from mybuilder who told me she did not want the work doing as she had changed her mind. I asked her to email mybuilder to let them know so they might consider not charging me the £25 fee (there is no phone number only email) Mybuilder said i would have to pay the fee, so I refused and said I was done with them. I then find out that they have left a tag on google when my company name comes up that reads. This user has been permanently restricted from using mybuilder.com. I had not even done any work through them and they have black listed my name like some shoddy setup!... I left this review on Trustpilot but Mybuilder had it removed, they are a paying customer and thats how they appear so squeaky clean. Bad reviews are removed! Beware of mybuilder they are just parasites who bully and lie to make. MONEY!

We are a loft conversion company thinking we would give my builder a try. To register and to supposedly test your knowledge they asked 10 questions as to what is involved in the work. The questions were so basic that anyone with even limited knowledge could answer them, not good when you are altering the structure of the property. No vetting no qualification check.
They email leads and you click if interested, if the customer short lists you And probably a few others My Builder charges you. Half the shortlist customers
Had no idea what they really want, others just want to pick your brain. You have no come back regarding the fee you've paid for time wasted leads. Take a tip
Better to spend the money in newspaper adds. At least you vet your own leads. All my builder cares about is getting your money not getting you work

Terrible, had a builder who missed 3 appointments when he tried again I told him not to bother and he texted me insults, mybuilder rejected my reviews, did not swore, no rude words were used just told what happened which was 'I got insulted by one of the mybuilder traders', then looked at who owns this company, which is a Notz in America, and there is a sister company, something fishy there somewhere that Notz I do not think he exists, another 'take me for a ride'.
