My gorgeous full leather Natuzzi living room set came from an Ottawa purchase - $820 for a couch, chair and ottoman that were valued at over $6,500 new... it was a steal! My vintage oak roll-top desk? I paid FIFTY FIVE DOLLARS from an auction in Rochester, NY - Mind! Blown! I've furnished my home with fantastic antiques at pennies on the dollar, and have bought vintage jewelry, storage solutions, stained glass supplies, and metalworking tools. The selection of available items at any given time is absolutely astonishing because of the variety of things that different people have and want to downsize. Someone, somewhere, is getting rid of exactly what you're looking for! My pickups have always been very well organized and seamless, staff are friendly and helpful and always look like they're enjoying their job and each other's company.
Called maxsold to see what hp the motor was as they did not picture it. Was told they could not help and no one could be contacted. Bought it and found wrong motor. Don't trust anything unless you see it in a picture. These people at headquarters are useless and read from a script. This is my second buy that was not what they represented and have never had any one call me with either a REFUND ( FORGET THAT, ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY IT'S OVER) or appology for wrong discription

I just called and spoke with Jamira. I attempted to inquire about information about MaxSold services. Jamira, spoke to me in a very rude and disrespectful tone of voice. She over-talked me and did not give me an opportunity to ask questions. After a few minutes of being spoken to in a harsh demeanor I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor, I was told by that I would have to sign up first in order to speak with a manager. "Because they are very busy. I am a 77 year senior citizen and felt that I was mistreated during the phone call for no reason. I am sharing this incident on this platform due to not being allowed to speak to a manager. I do not want this to happen to another senior or person. Young, frustrated staff workers like Jamira has no place in a corporation such as MaxSold, they do not represent the company in a positive light. I regret calling this company. I will report this situation to the Attorney General's Office, to the BBB. And all other agencies.

I love the ability to browse auctions to find items unique to my circumstances and then refining my bidding to win the item. The follow up pickup procedure has been perfect 9 out of 10 times. And for the 1 unpleasant pickup experience, Maxsold had recourse paths to resolve that experience. Maxsold offers a safe environment for bidders.
I participated in an on line auction for an estate sale. I bid against several other bidders over several days. I won the item and paid MAXSOLD. I went to the pick up location before the end of the pick up time only to be told that they sold my item I paid $! 89 dollars for to someone that came with $100 cash. I told them that they made a contract with me the moment I paid on line that the item belonged to me and they could not sell the item. They sold the item 20 minutes before I got there. They made no attempt to help or figure out how to get the item back. They said they would refund the money. My receipt on line shows that they refunded the purchase. But my credit card still shows Over 10 days later I do not have a refund and they will not talk to me on the phone. They email only and they are very very blatant that they can not help. This was fraud. They did not have any record of who they gave my item to and just took cash and did not collect sales tax. This was just illegal. They are supposed to be an Auction Company with rules and follow all state guidelines. The customer service representative was rude and horribly ineffective. They did not care that I paid for the item and was told to drive to a location to pick up the item and when I showed up it was gone and someone paid half what I did in the auction. They offered to give me a starbucks card for my trouble. The really thought that buying me a cup of coffee would make up for a 50 mile drive and not refunding my money. The woman handling the auction could have cared less and kept no records. The office staff and follow up would not talk to me on the telephone. They did everything possible to get me to go away and not correct the situation.

What started off as moving Mom and Dad to a retirement community, auctioning what they didn't need, and selling their house became a three month trial of hospital visits for both, hospice care for my dad, and his passing. But in the meantime, plans had been put in place to move. I'm giving you all these details so that you know the context when I say that Heidi and her team were so helpful, so supportive, and so easy to work with through a very difficult time. They gave us the flexibility we needed as to when to start the auction process, and we knew exactly what was happening with every step of the way. I was so impressed with the research they did in creating the listings. Everything was so professionally done, and the whole process was incredibly smooth. They totally earned their commission. Started using MaxSold the middle of 2021. Signed up, added a credit card and started browsing the local auctions. So far have won over 10 auctions. Got a good price and the fee was acceptable. Just remember to account for the fee when bidding so you know what you are paying for the item. All items pickups were easy and fairly organized. Website is easy to navigate.

These people auctioned off the contents of a three bedroom house full of furniture including Ethan Allan pieces, crystal pieces, china set, dining table and other items too lengthy to list for a total sum of $1236. After their fees of $971, we are to receive a total of $265.70. I was led to believe these items would be on a massively advertised internet auction. Only a handful of bidders and or buyers participated. Some were even tipped off relatives of MAX employees If you want to give your stuff away call GOODWILL. This was a highest bidder auction with low ball bids due to lack of advertising. I will call an estate auctioneer next time. They at least earn their fees.
It took twice as long as they say for me to be paid. Messages left with no return call. Customer service reps kept telling me next week. Then it was discovered there was a systems problem. Otherwise it was a good experience. Happy with sale results.
Auction popularity seems to be growing which means as a buyer I might pay a little more but seems like fair prices prevail for seller and buyer Its an easy way to pickup something cool from the comfort of your sofa or in the office at the end of the day

I've seen similar items on Facebook marketplace at 10x+ the cost I paid. After I refinish them I'll decide which I'm going to keep and which I may sell.

Maxsold, needs everything from you but you/ I can't get a simple explanation from them. Every normal company puts customers first, except this one. Would never use MaxSold again, and would not recommend to anyone. Their lack of consideration of our requests regarding our family holdings was unbelievable and ignored in most instances. Although we were told things would be the way we had requested, it was merely lip service to our total dissatisfaction, and not wanting to deal with it. Communication was sadly lacking between office staff and those in the field, which doesn't make for a cohesive team performance.
With maxsold I was able to find other people who are interested in articles that maybe I don't like or are not functional, I really like this because I know that there are people who value articles that for you maybe no longer catch your attention
