It took almost a full month from time of order to receive product. I cancelled straight away and would like confirmation it has been done after reading these reviews.
After ordering the free supplements to trial them, but paying a small amount to cover postage, I am being charged monthly $70au for a product that I have cancelled. This is just a scam set up by Jesse Canone from Lose the Back Pain to keep taking monthly payments on a permanent basis even if it is cancelled. The supplements make me throw up so I certainly do not want them. Jesse, if you want to show your honesty, please refund me my $70 and cancell future orders. My name was Patricia Lilly, but since remarried, so now my surname is Waine. My new email address is *******@outlook.com.
I ordered one promotional bottle and found myself signed up to a monthly program for $49.95 per month. I did not authorise this. Somehow my bank allowed my account to be debited without my knowledge or authorisation. I did not receive the second bottle of tablets due to a customs charge needing to be paid so I was unable to send it back. The customer service email wont acknowledge receipt of any complaints or cancellations. The only thing that worked was to empty my account so that any future charges bounced. Fortunately i used a secondary account as i do with most internet orders as my suspicions were already aroused. I suggest anyone not to use main bank accounts in case of fraudulent debiting. Companies use the card payee not present facility to access customers accounts. Unfortunately I have been charged $49.95 and probably wont get it back. According to other reviews over many years this company have been getting away with fraudulently charging customers for years. Why do the banks continue to do business with companies like this? In effect they are facilitating fraud which they claim to be discouraging. If claims for a product seem too good to be true then generally they are. Go figure!
Nick,
Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. I sincerely apologize for the frustration you experienced. My name is Steve, Director of Client Services, for the Healthy Back Institute (HBI) and I do understand the frustration of online/international E-commerce, specifically having to do with supplements as each country has their own rules about what is allowed.
Let me say this, about how the HBI takes and process orders. In the United States, when free trial offers are presented to customers there are very specific (rules) we must follow in order to process any free trial offers.
First, the terms of the promotional offer must be presented at the point of sale in a clear and conspicuous way, that we do!
Second, the Customer MUST click on a box, (next to the terms) and once they click (the box) that presents a visible check mark next to the terms, indicating that you have read and agreed to the terms of the offer. The order can not be completed without you checking that box giving us permission to charge your card, and that you did!
Third, We must present, in a clear and conspicuous way for you to cancel the order as well as all of our contact information, and that we do. As you used our My Account system to cancel your order.
I'm sorry you are experiencing this issue but please understand that many many customers go through this same process, without issue.
MY REVIEW:
You ordered our (30day) Free Trial of Heal n Soothe on 11-17-2019.
You used our internal system called “My Account” to cancel your order on 12-17-2019, Unfortunally the timing was such that your order was automatically processed, hours before you canceled on the 17th (30days).
You contacted us on the 18th, we told you what happened, including that we would refund you.We refunded that order on the 18th after your call.
The HBI stands behind our products and business practices, we have been in business for 18 years and while we are not perfect we work very hard to do things right.
Please contact us using the link below and give me the opportunity to assess your account and give you more details about what happened and see about getting you a refund:

Thank you for being a valued customer as your satisfaction is important to us!
Thank You,
Steve,

I sent back two products in a package to this company, and was only credited for one. No amount of communication or contacting them has been helpful or productive. Stay away, as not only did the product do nothing to ameliorate my pain/condition, but returning products that I did not want resulted in them KEEPING MY MONEY on half of what I returned.

If you have given your bank or card details to this company then immediately NOW cancel your card and make sure that your new card is a different number.
They tricked me into an agreement that I was totally unaware of, as they have to lots of others.
Not only do they help themselves to money from your bank card but they DO NOT send anything at all.
They have stolen several payments from my card because I did not cancel it quickly enough! More than one a month.
Despite contacting ( with enormous difficulty) and requesting to unsubscribe they ignored that.
Please do not have anything to do with these crooks.
HOW CAN THEY STILL BE CHEATING AND STEALING. WHERE ARE THE POLICE?
HI Jackie,
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback about your recent experience with our company. We’re disappointed we failed to meet your expectations as our goal is to provide only the highest quality products, services and information with every interaction you have with us.
It appears you agreed to our monthly autoship service when you accepted your free trial. I’ll explain how to easily and immediately cancel this service below. But first, I wanted to address for your sake and those who will read your review and our response, how our autoship program works.
** How Our Autoship Program Works **
When we offer a free trial, it’s with the expectation that you’ll love the product. Most do. The purpose of a free trial is to give you the opportunity to experience it for yourself and decide before ever paying full price whether you’d like to continue using it.
For that reason, we make it easy to continue receiving the product you received a trial of by enrolling you – with your express permission – in our autoship program.
We always clearly and concisely provide full details of the autoship program in plain, regular size print front and center on the order page. Not buried in fine print.
And, because we know some may still only skim the details before placing their order, we require all customers to manually select a checkbox indicating they’ve read those Terms & Conditions before ordering by disabling the Order button until they select that box.
If the trial doesn't work for you, just cancel AutoShip within 30 days of the order, no questions asked, by simply calling toll-free 1-800-216-4908. As you see, anyone can cancel their autoship order long before we ever ship and bill for it with a quick toll-free phone call.
However, you can still easily cancel your order at any time. Here’s how...
** How to Easily Cancel Any Autoship Order **
Our goal is to send you only what you want, only when you want it. That’s why we give you multiple ways to contact our Customer Service team to modify or cancel any order you place. Our preferred way for you to contact us is through the “Submit a request” form in our online helpdesk system found here:
https://thehealthybackinstitute.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
This link takes you directly to the form. The reason that’s our favored method of communication is because your request gets entered directly into our system exactly how you want to communicate your need to us. It also notifies our customer support team by email that you have submitted a request.
However, we also provide our full contact information, whether you wish to reach us by phone, fax or regular mail, along with our customer service hours of operation on our Contact Us page found here:
http://www.losethebackpain.com/contact-us/
You are welcome to reach us using any of these methods to cancel, suspend or modify your autoship order or with any other questions you may have.
Thank you again for providing your feedback on your experience.
Best wishes,

I made an order with this company (Order Number *******) on 10 September 2016. Now more than a month later, I have written to them requesting to cancel the order and refund me in full. They have ALREADY taken a second payment recently, which I am claiming back too.
They told me yesterday that they are unable to cancel the order without me sending them the goods back (the goods that I never received!). Is this the CRAZIEST SCAM EVER? DO NOT go anywhere near them, they are THIEVES!
I'm in disbelief.
Hi Sole,
We have identified a technical issue. We very much appreciate you brining this to our attention! We take full responsibility for our error and sincerely apologize. Refund has been issued in full today. We will contact you via email.
I ordered their inversion table. I attempted to cancel this order prior to shipping. Since it had already shipped, I ended up receiving it. I planned to refuse delivery, but could not be home when it was left at my doorstep. I made multiple attempts to acquire a return authorization/tracking number through telephone and emails. There was zero customer service anytime I mentioned wanting to return the item.
I was finally able to get someone to help me with the return until they told me I was 3 days over the 30-day limit for returns and they would not give me a credit. I could be more understanding if I had been using the product. This, however, was never opened.
I informed them that had they responded to any one of the multiple attempts I had made to get the required information for a return that the table would have been returned within the limit. They still refused. I asked to speak to a supervisor who was conveniently unavailable. Now I am stuck with an unopened box that contains a product I won't use for which I paid 299 dollars.
I would not and will not recommend this site to anyone. Their customer service sucks.
I live in Aussie and had sciatic pain so was ready to try anything. I found their site while looking online for help. I purchased 3 bottles of heal & soothe plus a bottle of the joint food. With the exchange rate plus postage this is a very expensive product. It took nearly 3 weeks to arrive and by that time I was starting to get better anyway. I did feel good while using the pills but won't order more as their billing people make so many mistakes.
I did read all the fine print so as soon as the pills arrived I e mailed and asked for the auto order to stop. 1 month after first order they charge my credit card $39 US again!? That indicated to me that they had charged me for their air head news letter which did not arrive. It is full of trippy hippie feral dreadlocked drum beating rubbish. Not worth anything. I e mailed and complained and hoped to be refunded. Their accounts people did not seem to understand my complaint. No refund. 1 month later I received that air head newsletter but was not charged ( not so far)
The exercises are good and helped my back pain. I think heal & soothe works for me and the joint food was OK. They are just sooo expensive and can't be trusted not to rip you off, which is a shame as I would use their products again if in extreme pain.
Same thing: you order the book and magically end up signed up for a newsletter by NOT letting them know that you don't want it. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody, no matter what they're selling.
Losethebackpain.com products - ointments and pills - are placebos with only testimonials by people who think that it works (that is how placebos work). There are no endorsements by reputable orthopedists or medical clinics (e.g. Mayo, Cleveland Clinic) at all, which means that you are just wasting your money if you fall for their seemingly free offers (you pay only shipping costs). Besides their 21-day free trial offers are really two-week trial offers since they count shipment period towards the 21 days. THIS IS A SCAM! DON'T FALL FOR THEIR PROMOTIONAL OFFERS!
They (over)charged me and I still don't have ANY OF THE PRODUCTS. Ordered them in April, it is now July and I have nothing. Not even a response from the customer service team & I have written to them several times. All I want is my money returned since they didn't actually send me anything.

I actually like Jesse Canone. He's written an informative book and has some helpful methods of helping relieve back pain. I chose to try one of his products - a pill that corrects all the pain in your body somehow. It worked a little. Then I noticed I was signed up, through my bank account, to be billed $79 every month for a continuing supply of the pills. My husband and I are retired and cannot afford that kind of debt. I never agreed to a continuing supply. I called their number and they transferred me to Clickbank.com (*******035) where I told the person to cancel the order and refund me. She said, "Do you want to cancel all of these other charges, too?" I asked how many there were. She said "nine." Gratefully, she did cancel the others and I got my refund for the one they took from my account. My son told me that there is a note at the bottom of every form you fill out, in very tiny type, authorizing the company to continue to send and charge for the orders, monthly. What small type? I didn't see it. Now I look for it! It's there, under the box where you've signed up. It authorizes further charges. Don't get taken! Be careful what you order and read EVERY WORD on the form. I think most people don't even see it. You have to scroll up at the end of the order form and look for it. Not easy to see... Good luck!
Ordered this in January and after taking for a couple of days developed terrible itching so stopped taking. Went on line to see if others had issues and appears to be a scam to which I'm embarrassed. Called immediately and cancelled EVERYTHING!
This is where the scam starts. I said I wanted EVERYTHING cancelled, newsletter, heal & soothe, everything & was told it was. There would be no more taken from my acct.
Noticed today they debited my acct another $14.95, which they've been doing since January. Yes, $14.95 for paper not even product.
Customer service was as rude as expected when I asked for a refund for things cancelled. Said it was MY FAULT as I only cancelled the product not the newsletter. Told her she was mistaken as I was very clear about the word everything.
Seemingly trying to intimidate, doesn't work with me, said all calls are recorded and she could pull it up. Said go right ahead as I know exactly what was said.
This is a big scam just to get your CC # to debit every month. Called my bank and the only way to stop these is to change your card.

This Scam organization offered a Free Sample of back pain pills for only payment of minimal shipping
Cost I paid by card. They sent a small bottle of their product. I took this to my medical
Doctor. He strongly advised against my use as one of their ingredients was not at all compatible with one of my regular medications.
Almost immediately I attached a note of explanation to their shipping email and checked "unsubscribe"
At the bottom to cancel my association.
Now a mere 6 days later I receive a parcel from Healthy Back Institute of a 30 day supply and a very
Healthy charge by them to my credit card account, I telephoned their " customer no service" and was
Told that my cancellation was only to their email posts and told me what I should have done according
To their rules, after the fact.
Too many of these "Free" to get your card number for unstoppable automatic billings. It' a whole scam industry!
AND... After I read the company's response claiming not. To be an overt SCAM,
I reply... Then they are a company built on deceit and product misrepresentation,
With greedy business ethics, lies and shim sham double talk, and fraudulent invoicing
Practices. But not a scam.
First of all thank you for checking with your Dr before taking any of our product, but for anyone reading this, we suggest that you if you have questions about if you can take any supplement, please consult your physician before you, buy that supplement.
Second, please be specific when communication with customer service, as merely asking to be unsubscribed means to remove you from our email system, but asking to have your smart ship stopped is a completely different matter. Everyone please be specific and use the link below to communicate with us.
In short, we did not scam you, and in the end, we did not refuse to stop your order, but rather there was a miscommunication, and I will take this opportunity to again, state when emailing please be specific to your requests.
We are extremely responsive to customer server issues, so if anyone is asking for customer support please contact us through our ticket system,(link below) that is much more reliable then emailing and tickets can be systematically resolved making response much faster and it insures customer satisfaction. https://thehealthybackinstitute.zendesk.com/tickets/new
I asked for a free trial bottle
OK they added 9.90 shipping without telling
Not reasonable but not real robbery
Then they suggested a second bottle also as a trial and they clearly said that I will be refunded without a need to return it
When I asked they wrote "but why?"
And then when I phoned in they said I need to ship it back
Then it turned out that I ordered a monthly supply
I absolutely did not
Worst of all, I was in pain and it did nothing for me.

I enrolled to try the free packet to establish whether they would work for me. I believe the web site says try them for free and if you wish to cancel then it would be fine.
On 13th December 2019 I went to collect the delivery and discovered the were customs and handling charges of £14.04p. The leaflet inside the packet stated 'Thankyou for ordering a free trial of Heal and Soothe'
I then checked my bank account and £47.25p had been taken from my account on 25th November 2019. This was without my permission. I have cancelled my subscription. Let's see ho that works out.

I am a doctor in naturopathy who specialise in joints and back problems. I ordered the book hoping to learn some new information/technique. I found a repetion of promesses and self gratification, was sent -and charged for- a bottle of Rub-on-relief that I had not ordered, and a monthly supply of unrequested Sleepzyme. I first thaught that these were promotion samples until I checked my accounts and saw I was charged monthly! It is an officially recognised scam (losethebackpain scam). BEWARE!
MAKE SURE YOU NEVER GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO TO THESE SCAM ARTISTS. IF YOU ORDER ANYTHING THEY WILL SEND YOU A "FREE NEWSLETTER" THAT YOU WILL KEEP GETTING--FOR $18 A MONTH UNTIL YOU "UNSUBSCRIBE". THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE IN PAIN.
I made what I thought was a one-of purchase of Heal-n-Soothe. I am disabled and do not work, so cannot commit to long-term or indeed any subscriptions. I received a notification that another order was on its way. I looked into this and the only way to cancel is to go into 'my account' and cancel it. I tried this, but apparently, I don't have an account, so can't cancel further orders. I have tried Live Chat, no one responds, sent messages all day today, no response. I have also filled out two on-line forms. Again, no response. Any further charges to my bank account will be devastating, I am already suffering as the money taken was out of my budget, leaving me without groceries this week. I am stressed that further money is going to come out of my account when no money is there, ending up with bank charges, putting me further into debt. This is not a good customer service at all. Not making it clear this is a subscription, then making it impossible to cancel further orders. Shame on this company!
Jane,
My name is Steve, Director of Client Services, for the Healthy Back Institute (HBI), I have reviewed your order and the communication you have had with us. You emailed us 6/17 12. 20 PM and 2. 44 PM. We responded back the same day at 13. 44 PM letting you know your subscription was canceled and you were provided return instructions.
We are not out to get anyone or scam anyone but you have to read the terms at the time of sale, you have to read the emails we send you, you have to read the packing slip we send with the package, we explain the order and give you our contact info at every step of the way.
We have given you a partial refund but since you are disputing the charges we can not give you a complete refund.
To anyone reading this and has an issue, please contact us directly and we can address the matter one on one but once you file a dispute, it takes months to workout.
Second, Refunds can be held up by weeks or months if you RETURN TO SENDER, don't do that.
