I was very satisfied by id me from the security point of view but also the access to information by previous activities, it reassures me to be the only identity of the information, thank you again for the willingness to protect our sensitive information in a catastrophic and formal way
Very bad experience trying to get in to pay my irs bill. It has given me the run a round and made me keep getting another pass word. It would not permit me to make my payment after all of that run a round that I had to struggle through.
I have never heard of this company before I needed some information about previous years taxes. IRS forced me to use them and they asked for an uncomfortable amount of data from me. I don't feel the info I wanted warranted so much effort. Avoid this company if you can.
A little complicated since he does not have access to other languages, also that he comes with a guide on how to use this program or someone to call to make the process easier and so the visitor is having a correct guide to fill out the form and accessory.
At first starting out with the process, it's a little aggravating but once you get your info put in and it's all correct, then it's super simple. You can log in to whatever it maybe your doing with ease. Highly recommended
Honestly, my partner and I, with 17 years of higher education between the two of us, took an hour just to get one bloody form filled out. It was so frustrating they make you move your head around like you're in a zoo at the monkey ward, you feel like an absolute idiot, and it kept timing out. The whole experience was so frustrating and we were cussing like stevedore's before the time was up. Completely idiotic, I mean, we were just trying to fill out a damn form without any Social Security number on it, so stupid…
I went on ID.me and had my document rejected by an agent that looked down on my disability and told me that because of my disability he would have to end my video conference. He gave me no options and no consideration. He could have allowed me to talk to another agent or a manager, but he chose not to.
I first used id. Me with DEpartment of motor vehicles. Didn't use it for a while oh and unemployment online services, skeptical at first because I used tee we o emails but once I was able to provide a valid real id I was able to retrieve and update first account. Id. Me also has quick live selfie video to verify account connects you to most important functions. It's great
At first i thought this was going to be a long, tedious process that probably wasn't gonna work out right anyway. I was completely wrong- very easy to follow directions and took less than 5 minutes. Highly recommend. So glad!
My son is a disabled adult with autism. He's never had anything in his name. No bills and his medical is taken care of by Medicaid so no medical bills. His phone is free through the Free State program so he doesn't even have a phone bill. He has an ID a birth certificate and a social security card. But none of those along with the phone number that is directly linked to his name was enough to get him a video call to ID him and when we put forward three to four different messages asking for customer service to contact us via email we only got a AI response that did not answer any of our specific questions on how to go forward. One of them actually said if we had any more problems basically tough luck and go to the IRS and ask them what to do rather than deal with them. Other than this problem I think the security and whatnot is great
I wanted a pin to file my taxes for security purposes. It was easy to get ID. Me. Everything was efficiently set up. All you have to do is follow simple instructions. I highly recommend getting ID. Me to guard your identity.
It was impossible to go through the self service setup, as they rejected the only phone number I've had for years. Fortunately, when I had to do the video meet with an agent, they were able to get everything set up. Unfortunately, this was after wasting an hour of my time.
The agency was so professional in took the time to explain what i didn't understand and made sure I got to all the right websites they were courtesy and I would recommend all of my friends or relatives to contact them for help or advice
I created an account which was suspended as soon as the identification process was complete. I opened a ticket right away, and after 6 days didn't have a resolution. I created another ticket, which they said was escalated and 4 more days went by without it being resolved. Only after contacting the company account on LinkedIn did someone get back to me, and the issue was fixed in an hour. Do everything in your power to avoid interacting with this company.
I had to use ID. Me on a government website because it needed either that Or the person has to have a ID activated Military ID card with a Chip to sign in. Along with screen name and password. So I chose ID. Me. The process is relatively straightforward as long as the user can read and understand English. And if the user has valid other forms of Official ID.
10 attempts to upload my driver's license using both my android phone and and I-pad. Nothing worked. You cannot simply use your laptop or desktop, you need another device. What should have taken 2-3 minutes took almost an hour. No troubleshooting available when it won't load your picture, just denial after denial. NOT for those who are not tech savvy. It is not at all user friendly, especially for a site cinnected with federal programs that will be used by many. A frustrating experience at best.
I had that expirience twice-first trying to help my husband at 83 years old, and than myself at 70 years old.
Very confusing list of documens, not clear which ones fo those who live abroad but the agents are great & do a wonderful job once on the video call.
Already had an ID Me acct. Tried to use it to sign in to view my SSA notice mentioned in an official email (I had done so successfully in the past). After entering username & info, I was informed further information was required to confirm my identity. Ok; kind of like signing up for direct deposit; front & back of drivers license then a biometric video face scan(?). After this, I got an "unsuccessful" reply with options (seek help, redo). I just went back, tried again using username/pw combo; got right in. Checked the statement. New this time was a multi paragraph list of conditions and cautions including one paragraph saying no responsibility for any use of my personal information whether for official purposes or any other reason. I probably should have stopped when I read that but I didn't.
I'm pretty used to online sign-in routines. This one was pretty bad. I feel sorry for folks who are less computer savvy having to navigate this system. Do better.
I applied to ID. Me on Sunday afternoon, and after completing all the online information was given an estimated time of 15 minutes to connect with an agent. This was updated to 21 minutes, and counted down from there. The agent explained everything thoroughly and initiated a Zoom call on my cellphone to go through the verification process. Uploading the documents to the site was very easy. To be honest, I was happily surprised at how smoothly and well thought-out the whole process is.
Trying for 2 months to login keeps saying there is a problem. Login. Gov is the same thing. I have not been able to access my SSA account for 2 months since it was deemed mandatory to sign up with one of these two useless company's
