The technician that came and install my hoveround was amazing very professional I wouldn't have asked for anyone else. He took time and went over every detail with me, he was in a rush, if I had to do it all over again I would call for the gentlemen that came out. Now I get a chance to hang out with the family and nobody had to push me around it was like I got my independence back, I would recommend it to anyone who need too get around, it's easy to manage, drive and handle, I couldn't ask a greater gift its my early Christmas present

This is probably the worst experience I've ever had with a company that is supposed to be customer service orientation. Basically I have been waiting almost a year to get my scooter repaired. I am a disabled Veteran of the war in Vietnam. This organizations has absolutely no regard for veterans. I do not have enough time, or space to explain and document the numerous times I've been given the runaround. I have seen told conflicting stories by the technical and scheduling departments, among others. Even hung up on by Lori(sp) in scheduling.
Depending on who you talk to parts are on order, been ordered or waiting for the technician to install. Technician showed up a few weeks ago with the wrong part
Promised to get it on order buy supposedly failed, again, depending who you talk to. I was called by hoveround last Friday to schedule an appointment for yesterday, Monday
I waited all day long and no one showed. Today I was told again by Lori that there was a mix-up and the part isn't in. Called back today and asked to speak to a supervisor, and of course none was available. Nice lady Promised she would look into it, and have a supervisor call me
Of course, no call. Absolutely no regard for customer service. And certainly not supportive of veterans..

This chair is a nightmare! Hoveround should be ashamed of themselves fr sticking Medicare with a dangerous product.
I have hurt myself too many times, the design and cheap plastic parts make this a VERY uncomfortable to use. The tiny tip over wheels in the front ae in the way f trying to stand, when the to small foot plate is raised. My ankles have been cut too many times to write, the chair pulls and turning radius is always being caught and if something is on the floor, you can bet the damn chair will catch it and easily tangle in the drive wheels.
In less than one year I have had to replace the plastic power tires and the front tires. I am so fed up. A TOTAL waste of my insurance, I am now stuck with a piece of CRAP for at least 6 years. That's if Medicare will be around and if I can stand the wait for all the paperwork to go through. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, LIKE I SHOULD HAVE DONE!

From day one, this chair has given me problems. The turning radius is too large and mine has a way of doing what it wants to. I want to go forward, the chair hesitates and there is a thump, thump, thump in the wheels. If feels like a bent axle. I have only had this chair 6 months and the batteries are going out! It squeaks unbearably, I now need new power wheel tires already, and I NEVER can get a person to talk to. I got sick of calling and bought new caster tires, because one broke, it just had a slice come off while I was using it. Oh, and the charger I got with,,,it stopped working, stopped charging the battery, so I bought a new one. Beng on a fixed income makes this a high maintenance, Medicare provided item!
This place absolutely sucks... Do not buy from them, I'd rather crawl everywhere then sit in one of their chairs ever again. Wish I didn't have to give one star
Hoveround is a rip off if you buy a refurbished chair.one part after another goes bad. 2300$ turned into a4,000$end and more to come. I have 2 -9,00$motors for less then half price..

Customer Service was great, she took the time to find out everything concerning my previous inner action over the phone and then we proceeded from there.
I didn't think I'd ever get to go shopping again go see my grandchildren Or have any kind of life. Hoveround has made it possible for me to do these things.
I have to cancel my appointment with the lady I spoke with at Hovaround for Monday Sept. 10, I think, at 840AM. I am in a power chair and cannot find an agency or ride to Dr. Coleman's office.
I cannot get into my car right now because of my condition has gotten worse.

WAS TOLD MY PRIMARY CARE DR WAS NEEDED TO CERTIFY REQUEST. SHE SAID SHE COULD NOT DO SO AND THAT A SPECIALIST WOULD HAVE TO CERTIFY. I don't believe the person I spoke to was very knowledgeable about the services, available products,& procedures of obtaining different chairs I explained I suffered from multiple sclerosis that I'm 39 and that I needed a chair for outdoor mobility once I asked about the different chairs I seen especially the one in picture he had nothing to tell me but above all he was polite
I have a jazzy also and I haven't scooter now but I should have gotten to begin with that's what I want it but they decided to send me a crap as chair are we have a chair it's a jazzy it goes everywhere and anywhere you can go in the same can go in the mud go anywhere and it doesn't get stuck they're a bunch of $#*!s they think that there's any good plus what you get flat tires because they couldn't put good tires on there like that that's where all the way through that's what we need we need a flat tire out someplace idiots
They jagged me around for 3 months and now tell me that they want to give me a wheelchair instead of a scooter. We had this SAME CONVERSATION over 9 weeks ago! What changed? They are the ONLY company my insurance works with, so I am screwed! WASTED so much of my time!

The person delivered the chair, Ron, was very thorough and courteous. He explained everything so that I could easily understand. My experience with Hoveround was great!
I will not give Hoveround another thought. Their service is beyond terrible. They shipped my mother the wrong model, would do nothing about it, so it sat in her home for a year and a half gathering dust. Their motto should be "Customer No Service and We Don't Care at All" What a poor excuse for a company and the morons who work there. They seem to have a racket with the insurance companies and get paid before the machine is delivered. It's like paying for your meal in a fancy restaurant before you eat it. The entire episode was a waste of time and money and shame on the company and the people who work there. They must be taught to be indifferent. Maybe we could start a class action lawsuit against them or at least have the government investigate them. (I guess that would be like putting the fox in the henhouse) In a nutshell THEY SUCK and do not waste your breath or time with a useless company who should be in jail. They are on my list of the most hated company I have ever dealt with and I used to be a purchasing agent.
Ron was true professional. He made necessary adjustments and helped tutor how to drive the chair. This was so important to making client feel more confident and comfortable to operate it.

Answer: So sorry to hear that. I am no longer living with my father-in-law, but I can add to my earlier review and comments. The company did exactly the same thing to him, again. A year later. They got in touch to say that Medicare had accepted their appeal and that the chair was now finally his, and they sent a guy round with the paperwork for signature and everything looked great. It subsequently turned out that Medicare hadn't approved anything and didn't know anything at all about the appeal, and that they were not going to pay. The story that Hoveround gave me was smoke and mirrors and back came the bill for the chair again. As far as I know, a year and a half on, the chair is still not officially his. I probably won't hear anything more about it now, but I'm quite glad I don't have to deal with these people yet again.

Answer: Yes, if doctor can prove medically necessary. Doctor must make file notes to support and you must have an office visit that only addresses the need for your chair.
