I've ordered my mobility chair, first in Texas, in 2019 through Steward Medical in Beaumont Texas. Now 5 years later with 5 falls from non-accessible streets as businesses, HoverRound is trying to get prescription from *

It's hard to find out what's going on with an ordered chair. This was for my mom. First I was told that it was going to scheduling and had no idea when they would call. My sister called back after a few days and was told the chair was there waiting but there was no one to deliver it, he was out on medical. Then I called and this lady was very helpful, she emailed the head of my district and they got someone in another area to deliver it. Don't have it yet, but hopefully in a few days. You shouldn't have to go through this. If we would not have called who knows how long we would have waited... Y'all need to be on top of each and every order, you're messing with people's lives here.
From the first phone call I made with questions to the actual delivery of my mothers Hoveround I found the service to be very quick. They lead me through the process with kindness and really did all the work to get my mom her much needed chair. I appreciate that!
Harder to turn around as my rascal. Their foot rest has a lip on it and is hard to get my feet up into it. My left foot does not lift up onto it. My turning ratio is bad. I now have to back out of the hallway instead of just turning around. Trying to put my foot-rest up to get off machine is very hard. Chair is very comfortable. Overall it is a nice machine. My problems might not be the same for you. Cannot walk. The person that brought my machine was very nice. He explained nicely and said please watch the dvd

They don't have parts to fix their chairs. I've been stuck home waiting for wheels that have already been paid for. They have no idea when they will have them. Once I spoke to the number they left me here, I got my parts the next day. Thank you Hoveround for resolving so quickly and getting me back on the road.

Buy from anyone but them, you call for service and your 27 in line, finality get them and they say Charlie will call you... he never do. My lift license light went out in May 16 and i have yet top get them to fix it and its October 16 and they quoted me a price of $630 to fix it.
The representative was articulate, friendly and helpful.

I, ve had my chair fro 4 yrs. When I called for a replacement battery, I was told I have to pay 162.00 deductible, 129.00 for the battery, plus the service call. Where is the "no cost to the customer"? I, m on retirement, not the executive secretary to Donald Trump! Apparently Hoveround doesn't care about the disabled consumer to whom they are alledgedly supposed to be concerned about. With them, it's all about the cash, not the customer!
I requested info for my mother TWICE. She nor i ever received a call. She just suffered a major fall and her doctor recommends a Hoveround for her. We saw the ad for a " friendly specialist that would walk us all the way through the process. That never happened. Very disappointed.
If you say sending paperwork then send it.
If you say you will email then email it.
And take responsibility for screwing up don't blame the fax cat my doctor's when you never sent it or or tell the customer your chair was declined by Medicare when in fact it was your internal billing / insurance dept. never submitted to Medicare I setup 3 way call with hoveround myself and Medicare claims office and still hoveround is arguing that they have a denial letter and some number on it that Medicare clearly saying that number not valid also not enough digits. Medicare offered to take claim now but hoveround refused because paperwork out of order. If you people would do your jobs correctly and in a timely manner and not fight the system that gives you a paycheck you would have many more sales. And your customers would be a lot happier.
I wish I could go lower than one star but... I have been waiting over 4 months for service on my scooter. Each time I call, I have to wait forever to get a tech on the line and when I do talk to one, it is one excuse after another (we're waiting for the part, we have to get insurance ok first, etc.) But if I want Medicare to buy me a new wheelchair... well we can certainly help you with that! My scooter is over 6 years old and needs repairs and I don't want a wheelchair. I want my scooter fixed! So far one tech has been out and had the wrong part. A second tech said they were ordering the part. This started back in April and it is now July. If I could send Tom Cruze, the CEO, an email, I'd let him know how horrible his company has been. Don't buy a Hoveround if you can find an alternative.
Thank you all so much! I am so thankful and happy for my lease on life. I'm now able to get outdoors and see the beautiful world that surrounds me. I'm able to move about unassisted in my home too. What a great blessing I have. The chair is remarkable and very comfortable. A big THANK YOU to everyone at Hoveround. The gentleman that came to my home was the nicest person that has every helped me since I have been disabled from 2002. It makes all the difference in the world to have a caring person help you. Thank you all again from my heart.

Everything about this company I love! Front to back. One thing that bothers me is that a gal from Florida called me about 3 days before delivery and told me my copayment was going to be around 620 dollars or so. And then I got a call a day or 2 later from someone for my actual payment and it was 841 dollars! When I questioned the 200 dollar bump she said she didn't know what to tell me. It's 841. If the first caller told me 841 I would have just lived with it but I am only human. And on a fixed income 200 dollars I wasn't expecting is a lot
I love that I can get out and go instead of waiting for someone to show up. It's a freedom that all human beings should enjoy instead of wondering how you are going to get through the day without human assistance. Thanks HoverRound for giving me back my independence.
Iv been waiting on parts for months now.
Getting it worked on is impossible.
I put new interstate batteries in it 2 months ago and just using it in the house today after 4 hours it's half dead I don't know what's wrong with it. New batteries shouldn't go down that fast

My wife Jean HIckey called the main support number in Florida from the owners manual and she was passed around to five different people and was put on hold for 55 Minuets, and you call this customer service, well you have a long way to go the be customer friendly, what if it had been an emergency? And she still didn't get thru to anyone and was then disconnected

GOT A LETTER FROM JENNIFER ASTACIO TWO DAYS AFTER MY DELIVERY. SAYING THAT UNLESS SHE HEARD FROM ME THAT YOU MAY NOT HELP WITH THE DELIVERY! THIS IS A TYPICAL REACTION FROM HOVAROUND A DAY LATE AND A REACTION SHORT. I HAVE CALLED OVER 3 DOZEN TIMES IN 4 MONTHS AND SDPOKEN TO 14 DIFFERENT PEOPLE WITH LITTLE REACTION, I NEVER RECEIVED A DIRECT RESPONSE. ALWAYS SHIFTING RESPONSIBILITY ONTO THE DOCTOR. IT IS AMAZING YOU ARE STILL IN BUSINESS.

Everyone that I spoke to was very pleasant, informative and business-like I don't know any other business that tells you that it's time to give you another product free of charge because it's been 5 years and you can keep your old one!
Answer: So sorry to hear that. I am no longer living with my father-in-law, but I can add to my earlier review and comments. The company did exactly the same thing to him, again. A year later. They got in touch to say that Medicare had accepted their appeal and that the chair was now finally his, and they sent a guy round with the paperwork for signature and everything looked great. It subsequently turned out that Medicare hadn't approved anything and didn't know anything at all about the appeal, and that they were not going to pay. The story that Hoveround gave me was smoke and mirrors and back came the bill for the chair again. As far as I know, a year and a half on, the chair is still not officially his. I probably won't hear anything more about it now, but I'm quite glad I don't have to deal with these people yet again.

Answer: Yes, if doctor can prove medically necessary. Doctor must make file notes to support and you must have an office visit that only addresses the need for your chair.
