I decided to order from this website, even though it was double the price as Walmart but they mentionned it would be delivered OCT 21st. Decided to spend the money and ensure a stress free Halloween. On OCT 26th, 5 days prior to Halloween, I received an email saying my order has been canceled as they do not have 1 out of 8 items in stock! Did not even offer to ship most of my order! Wasted my time making the order, increased stress as need to find costumes days prior to Halloween driving to different stores and kids very disappointed in not having their costumes - 2 big thumbs down! Shop elsewhere!

Do not order

We ordered a dinosaur costume for my 3 year. The head of the dinosaur didn't fit him. It was too small. It wouldn't even fit my 18 month old. I contacted the company and for 3.5 days all I heard was we are checking with the team. In that amount of time they could've checked with the team and sent me a new one that's meant for a three year old. I will never order from here again.

I placed an express order and after a waiting period of 3 days, they cancelled my order without contacting me. I called customer service, and she informed me the order was cancelled by her manager because some of the items were sold out and let's not forget the attitude that came up with it. I am extremely disappointed and never experienced anything like that, now I have to wait for a week to get a refund of $300+ RIDICULOUS!

I've made multiple purchases over many years and this year included an 8ft scarecrow pumpkin animatronic for $300.00. It was included in an order of $900 of costumes. The order was placed 3 weeks before Halloween and was supposed to arrive on 10/24 but received email the night before it was to arrive that there was an inventory miscalculation and I wasn't going to receive it. The item DROPPED from my initial order history with them entirely! I had no other communication from them prior to this. This was going to be the cornerstone of my outside decor this year.

I ordered and paid for Saturday delivery as I had an event on Sunday. The order will now arrive on Tuesday. As I will be traveling for the next two months I simply asked them to cancel it. Not only did I not have a costume for my event yet apparently they also want me to be stuck with the bill. Do yourself a favor, buy from Amazon.

MAKE THIS MAKE SENSE

Bought items on 10/14. I paid almost $20 to have my order shipped 3 business days priority. I looked into my order yesterday the 22nd since I should of had order in my possession. I called and I was on hold with 110 customers ahead of me waiting before me. I went to use the live chat and I did get through with a 10 minute wait. I asked to cancel my order and get a refund since I needed everything this weekend. NO CANCELATION since it was handed over to UPS that very same morning? They did give me a tracking # which says as of today only a shipping label has been created but UPS IS NOT in possession. So why couldn't I have canceled and refunded my money. My order clearly hadn't shipped. I am being given the run around. I am extremely upset and disappointed with this company. I also found it strange that I was sent ANOTHER receipt yesterday for my order that I had previously placed with different amounts with in a dollar? Make this all make sense?

Still waiting

We placed an order, recieved email that label was made and the notification it shipped with delivery date. A week after the delivery date we checked with UPS. Gave UPS the tracking number and was informed it was never dropped off.
Tried to live chat and call. Live chat didnt work and im again on hold.
Major hassle.

Ordered a pair of shoes for my daughter (as a Christmas present as she loves all things Halloween). Placed the order on 9/27 - still haven't received anything. Have 2 different order numbers, one works the other doesnt - still says "order processing" and new email is showing an order date of 10/15 (not what my bank statement says). Their customer service is a joke - everything they can tell me is the same information I can get off of their website. I am pretty pissed off about this entire experience and the waste of almost 60.00. I have put them on blast on all of my social media sites and warned friends and family not to shop here. I will NEVER give this company another dime of my money. I better see some shoes on my doorstep by their "promised delivery date" of Oct 27th or I will have my bank reverse the charges IN FULL. Absolutely ridiculous. I dont know how they stay in business. VANS will get my money from now on.

I am from Canada and ordered from Halloweencostumes.ca and had no notice items would be shipping from out of country nor did I have notice I would be paying extra Duty Fees and customs charges. An extra $50 for something I already paid shipping fees on. To all those in Canada be advised.

Horrible Company

I placed a $300 costume order on 10/10, received a confirmation email and delivery date. The date is today and no costume. I call the customer service and told I am #128 in line (yes, 128) so I hang up and use the online chat... give them my story, where's my order, etc.? They tell me that "there was a problem w/my payment method"... hmm, a credit card with a $15k limit and $200 balance? So I ask why then did I receive a confirmation email, order number and delivery date? Was told "I have no idea, you'll need to call the customer service number", so I call again, and this time, am told I'm caller 82. I wait on hold for 82 mins... listening to lovely hold music and a prompt that comes on every few minutes teasing me w/how close I'm getting to speaking to someone... "you are caller 65"... "you are caller 32"... I make it #24, and the next prompt says "You are trying to contact us after business hours" and hangs up on me! LOL, you can't make this stuff up! Don't know if I'll ever get a person to find out what happened. OH... and then I post a comment on their Facebook page, which was promptly deleted. Too funny. Do not order from this, shall we say, less than honest or reputable company :)

BEWARE Disappointed

I ordered a Beetlejuice costume for my daughter, paid for expedited shipping. It's been 2 weeks and they keep cancelling my order. They keep saying it's being shipped, I get a shipping notification and 2 days later it notifies me the shipment was cancelled. This is absolutely ridiculous. Costumer service has been unavailable for 2 days now. At this point, I just want a refund in hopes I can go and find another costume for my daughter in time for Halloween. Do NOT order from this company.

Third times hopefully a charm

On third attempt to get a wig I ordered for a party 10/22. Lost in transit one time. Wrong costume second time. It is a couples costume event. If I don't get it out costumes are ruined and we have to scramble to figure out what to wear. Ordered on 10/9 originally with the expedited shipping. Was on hold calling customer service for 2 hours to be hung up on stating they couldn't hear anyone on the phone. Spent another 2 hours on hold calling back. Both the chat person and the person I was finally able the talk to were very helpful. Hoping to get the right piece this third time. But overall a horrible experience. I will never shop from this company again

I was sent the wrong-sized Freddy Kruger hat, these things happen, but I was sent the wrong size because they had no standard sizes left. Therefore I paid more in postage to receive an item that is totally useless to me. I sent an email only to receive a useless auto-email back which states at the end if not helpful use chat. The company wanted me to pay for postage to return the item that I didn't order (the original postage cost more than the hat!) HalloweenCostumes charged me postage to send me the wrong item, then wanted me to pay for postage to send it back, then pay postage again to order another hat all because they stuffed up and they wonder why I'm not impressed.

Purchased and paid for on 10/10, paid for faster shipping. Zero confirmation email. Zero response back from customer support email. Live chat doesn't load. And physically calling had me on hold at "customer #108" for about 1 hour before I gave up. I will be attempting to get my money back through my bank.
