I wanted to build my website on GoDaddy and was unfortunately met with some confusion. Every time i started to work on my website it would create a new free version of the website off of my domain. After multiple attempts to make the website on my domain the only fix they had was for me to pay a good sum to have my website transferred to my domain after I had made it. I wish their website was easier to use and that they wouldn't have charged me to fix an issue on their end

I have been with GoDaddy since 2012, but just switched my shopping cart to WooCommerce as of last year. I need a system that is dependable because all my service is online only. However, from the time I switched to the WC platform I have issues about twice a month where customers are unable to place their orders. I have called and complaint and each time it is nothing but excuses. I finally asked for a manager only to be told that I have to fix myself that the services I am paying for is for SELF SUPPORT!@#$^ and that they will send me tutorials to figure out how to fix it myself. I will NOT renew once this year of service expires!

They are cheap. This is a good thing and a bad thing. Their service is incredibly in expensive, but they try to upsell you on EVERYTHING. Wanting to buy a domain? Buy these ones too. Bought a domain? Why not buy some server space. It goes on and on and on and on!

Today I have lost my all 4 sites due to Godaddy worst service
Godaddy Server like a lovers park or sea beach. Where every day hackers hacks millions on websites. And after that Godaddy charged you for providing backup near about 5000/- INR. My 4 websites were hacked by hackers which were hosted in Godaddy today moring.
One more question how hackers moves into to their secure server. As you were demanded world best hosting provider.

I think that hackers not came out side. May be godaddy Inhouse hackers team hack our web site data and your have charged for pay you

Godaddy purchased Media Temple many years ago. I was a Media Temple customer. Media Temple had awesome support. I could easily speak with a rep and get any issue addressed and solved in a timely manner. Godaddy just recently migrated all the Media Temple customers to the Godaddy platform and it is a disaster. I have my domains registered with Pairnic and Godaddy did not bother to check this. DNS pointers were not updated so my website was down for several days. I have spent many hours on hold with Godaddy support. Godaddy requires verification of my account. Since my email was not working and phone number on file was a landline, I was unable to get the text and verify my account. 2 out of 3 Godaddy reps are incompetent. It has just been a cluster F…. Finally after a few days and many hours on hold, my website is back up, but email is not working right. I can recieve email, but not send it. Webmail doesn't work. I am planning to change my hosting ASAP.

Can't renew your site, but they can sell it back to you for thousands of dollars plus an outrageous processing fee! What a bunch of crooks. This is not the first time this has happened with GO DADDY!

Sure not an accident. My name, email and telephone number should have been registered as the owner. No they do not care about your property. No they will just steal it and blame the owner! Nonsense, complete rubbish. Total Jerks. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CLOWNS. THEY DO NOT MAKE $500 MILLION a year doing web pages...

Maybe the worst company I've ever had to deal with. Their products don't work then they charge you to fix them and their customer service is completely useless.

Now that Godaddy have taken over Mad Mimi, they have decided to steal commissions from affiliates. They have ended the affiliate program and won't be paying recurring monthly commissions to affiliates even though many affiliates signed up in good faith thinking the recurring commissions would bring in a passibe income.

Here's the fine print:

Mad Mimi reserves the right to end the Program at any time.

In the event of Mad Mimi's discontinuation of the Affiliate Program, current commissions will be paid for a period of 180 days and then will no longer be paid.

It ony mentions current commissions and not recurring commissions however the letter they send out to affiliates mentions all commissions will no longer be paid.

Contact the founder Gary Levitt and his family in Isreal who are the ones who sold your recurring commissions to Godaddy.

First, GoDaddy completed SEO work on my behalf. However, because they failed to gather all of the appropriate information and neglected to inform me of their strategy, their work was in error and nearly useless. When I complained, they stated that they would only help if I purchased additional services. This was clearly stated on numerous occasions. This is extortion.

Now, as I attempt to move my website to WordPress, they have completely taken down my site. On my accounts page, there are several different charges for different features. Now that my site has been completely removed, I am being told that what was described as just an editing tool is really the entire site itself. They refused to return my site for even a short period of time and also refused to refund the charges I just paid.

Their business practices are disgusting at best and maliciously misleading at worst. They have no interest in abiding by information initially provided and only care about the amount of additional dollars they can extract from small business owners.

We prepaid for 3years for hosting services. Our expiration came without notification and they took down our website and held our site hostage asking for 4x the cost of our original cost. Also, they just held a newly purchased (blank) website URL for 5 days before they can release it. Another trick in their large bag of scummy tricks.

Godaddy is a totally fraud company. They steal domains of clients & sell to others at high prices. I registered my domain with my landline no., My customer No. Is "*******" & Active Email is "*******@gmail.com". Before some months I had opened my account without any OTP. But now without my permission they enabled otp authentication on my landline no., which is not possible to receive OTP on landline no. And they are not responding to my any email. They captured my domain. I sent notices also but didn't get any response. As per my notice Now I am eligible to fill multiple cases in multiple courts like consumer, civil, criminal etc. And also eligible for recovery of my losses. First I am filling a case in the National Consumer Forum on the next working day.

I wrote my previous review in June and here we are in late August, nearly september, and still having the same problems. The issue is godaddy stated they would provide a functioning website, but cannot follow through. They only build half a website and then require you to offboard (which is saying the website is complete). Then godayy will charge you again for the remainder of the website. Godaddy will tell you the website is complete and that you will see it live in the next 48 hour as a complete and live website. During this 48 hours you will be excited to see your website, but the reality is when it appears as live, its half done and not functional. Then they want more money to complete it. Go daddy is not an honest company. BEWARE!

Every time I spoke with the persons in charge of my site about all the things that needed to be change before launching the site was a waste of time. They never took proper notes as to what needed to be changed and updated. Next time we spoke nothing had been done the way we had discussed.
This when on and on until I got tired of getting passed around from one Rep.to the next and complained so many time and nothing was done.
It felt as if people were in another planet and were speaking a different language.
I took my loses and never posted the site. No one called me to try to work with me even after I gave up and wrote a complaint about how dissatisfied I was. There's no care for the customer. Nice people but no customer satisfaction guaranteed for this company.

Their entire staff is very questionable. If you experience what I experienced your feel like you're in another dimension and no one understands what the previous person did or didn't do and why.
Complete waste of my time and money.

GoDaddy shared hosting is S-L-O-W... almost as slow as their tech support! - So I have a dinky vbulletin forum with 100 members that I needed hosted, so I was like, easy to host, doesn't matter who I choose, GoDaddy has a special on right now, can't hurt to give it a try, right? Wrong!

GoDaddy hosting of my little vbulletin site was sooo slow it would take *forever* just to get a post up. So I call tech support to get them to fix it and they BLAME vbulletin! Worse, they try to up-sell me on a dedicated service! I don't think GoDaddy gives a crap about their customers, they are just trying to make money with their lousy, slow hosting. Don't fall for their discounts - I wouldn't let GoDaddy host my site for free.

Anyone has any recommendations for a good shared hosting service?
