Worst service
June 11, 2023

The worst support, don't go there, waste of time and money, many times web site is down, email is down, calling support is a waste of time, some support team are careless just answer you to waste your time without any ability or intention to understand your issue, or how to resolve.

I had a great experience with godaddy. I have 3 domains, and did not know they would auto renew. I called and was refunded for all of them and had them close. I will not be billed again. I recommend godaddy.com

Absolutely Horrible
September 16, 2023

The support staff are untrained and give the wrong advice. I tried to reconfigure servers in Godaddy to allow my Squarespace to publish and I was given the wrong information from the get go. And then Squarespace gave me equally bad guidance. Stay away from both like the plague. Oh, and now I'm bounced out of Godaddy for 7 days.

GoDaddy is really a very poor service provider.

From last 3 days one of my website is down in some time slots.

My blog is not working and same response

" Ok Sir we will check and update you " and after some time they say yes our tech team is aware about this. ( Last 3 days with same issue)

I have more then 250 + blogs but they are not showing. When we ask them they said " we have check with technical team they said there is no data loss".

We share Archive Url, IP pointing and some sample url.

Every time one line Answer

" we have check with technical team they said there is no data loss".

When we ask them " Where is my blogs then "

GoDaddy team - I will check and update

After 15 to 20 min GoDaddy team reply

" Thank you for your cooperation. We have check with technical team they said there is no data loss".

Again same process and they always say the same.

My team wasted more then 15 hrs in discussion.

All is said in the title. If you are willing to loose money, you came to the right place. Everything is heavely overpriced, the official reviews you find are either paid for or at least especially cared for. When you are mentioning you are willing to spend money they are all over you, if any problem occurs no one can be reached. It's about time someone sues this company.

I purchased a hosting package from them and for the first year it was fine. However, for second year they increased the price and charged more than what was agreed. I asked for the refund and they said that is not a problem. However, the money cannot be transferred back to my account and can only be used on GoDaddy. So essentially, it is like saying we wont give you your money back, once we have it it you wont be able to see it again. Be careful what you purchase on their site!

Don't use Go Daddy
August 10, 2023

Horrible company to deal with when setting up a domain, they get you on having to purchase more crap and that's the Microsoft 365. Prices keep going up so you think it's a cheap price for domain only in order to use it, you have to purchase all their over priced bull$#*! to use the domain and email addresses. When trying to transfer domain, they make it as difficult as possible. If you do transfer your domain, forward your emails to another email address so you won't lose them in the transfer. Customer service reps keep you on the phone and placing you on hold making you think they are working really hard to resolve your problem and they aren't, they're just doing it to be $#*!s.

You definitely need to know that even when you cancel a domain name or other product with GoDaddy they still take auto renewal payments from your credit card. They don't tell you that you have to phone their Billing department to ask them to kindly refund the money they just stole from you. And you have to do this within 5 days of them taking the payment. You are lucky to be able to get through to someone in 5 days, their wait times are appalling. It is almost impossible to cancel autorenewal. It is difficult to remove your payment card from their website. And it is next to impossible to cancel your account with them. After 4 years of trying I have just succeeded today with the help of one of their employees. Finally some help to say GOODBYE forever to GoDaddy which has taken over £200 from us for a product we do not have and have not used for 4 years. We now use Squarespace who so far seem to be a reasonable and ethical company - a welcome contrast to GoDaddy.

Bait and switch
July 13, 2023

I had two horrible experiences with Go Daddy. The first one (2021) was managing the increased space on One Drive where the rep accidentally deleted the latest copy of my information. Then they referred me to Bask, an affiliate who charged me to recover the information. After a week they couldn't recover the information and obviously cancelled the whole thing. No accountability.
The last one was a website build where the sales rep represented that the website would be searchable with Google, Bong, etc. not only by typing the name at the top but the search engine. Come to find out if you want this to appear on a search engine it's extra and managed by yet another affiliate. They need to be much more transparent on what things are and aren't included.

Please do not ever use this company. They are THE WORST and will automatically sign you up for nonsensical and outdated services that do not even work. You cannot complain. Their contact pages are a deliberate maze. They will not speak to you. They lost $10million last year and are now just stealing. They must die.

THE WORST
January 23, 2023

Told us that a website address renewal would cost about $70 to get it back after it expired. Guaranteed that it would register site again but didn't and instead glitched and sent to auction and we lost it, whatever company bought it now wants thousands. Had to change website address, print new flyers, change everything online.

I am satisfied with the help given to me for my lab report writing. I shared most of the data with the writer and the job was to present the data in an good format. I was happy with the report and the grade I received. Thank you, guys. Looking to work next semester.

I recently opened a business and knew I needed a website, so I bought a domain from GoDaddy. I remember seeing their ads and I knew other friends who had bought domains from them, so it seemed like the way to go. Little did I know... A year later is when they started charging me with huge fees. In the beginning, they upsell you on really generous discounts. If I had read the fine print, I would have known that I'd be paying almost $250 a year for an email and domain. If anyone is looking to buy a domain, I'd recommend Namecheap or Squarespace. While GoDaddy charges you $99/year for SSL, Squarespace gives it away free. And if you want to keep your website safe from hackers, you need SSL.

Don't use Godaddy
March 27, 2023

As a small business I hired Godaddy to design my website, host my domains and 1 year of SEO optimization.
6 months into the 1 year it has an overall terrible experience.
Six months ago the site was listed 101 on Google and today it is still listed 101 on Google.
At every month review I mention my concern and I get a lot of talk and promises from Godaddy rep but no change. The main issue is that Godaddy SEO is NOT working together with Godaddy Website design. Please do not use Godaddy, find a small SEO/website design company that will take care of all the issues that comes up. There sales people sound very promising but that is not the case. Do NOT pay the year service fee in advance.

I wanted to edit my customers DNS nameservers and was told I needed to wait 24 hours for a 2-factor authentication with my phone number. It did not work after 30 hours, so I called again and was told it's 72 hours, not 24... nobody there could help me edit the DNS records without the 2-factor auth. My customers business will be down for 72 hours.

Do your research
March 6, 2024

I'm following a training program and they recommended Godaddy. I barely got started and was annoyed. To activate your domain you are required to receive a 6 digit code you receive in your email. First attempt I waited and waited and waited. 5 min later after I already closed the verification window the code shows up. I open another verification window and attempt to put in the code I received. Of course it didn't work because I closed the window already. So ask for another verification code. 15min later I'm still waiting for a code. Normally sites take seconds to send you a code. So once again I'm convinced something is wrong and close the verification window. Two minutes later the code arrives. Two attempts wasted and you get 3. So I open a third verification window. The pressure is on. It's now been over 20 minutes and still no code. I don't even have to wait to see how this ends.

Do yourself a favor and use any domain registrar you want but DO NOT USE GODADDY.
