Recently tried buying an iPhone 5s but I received an email stating they needed more information about the credit card I used. I gave them the information and received an email hours later saying the information wasn't valid and my account couldn't be processed. THEY CANCELLED MY ORDER & PUT MY ACCOUNT ON HOLD. Very disappointed with their service.
STAY AWAY FROM GLYDE... I'm sure a few people have had success, however MANY have had horror stories here including me. Essentially, when you sell a phone, the buyer gets to determine what happens, not Glyde. So, if they say you sent them a crushed up Android, when you actually sent a perfect iPhone, their word sticks and you are returned a crushed up Andriod and banned for being a liar.It is Craigslist over mail. Destined for horror stories.
I AM VERY DISAPOINTED! I KEEP GETTING EMAILS ABOUT HOW MY ORDER IS ON HOLD ON PAUSE AND MY ACCOUNT IS ON HOLD. BLAH BLAH BLAH ITS HONESTLY SOO ANNOYING.
Steer clear of this site if you are a potential buyer. 9 days after my purchase, I had not heard anything and contacted Glyde asking for an update. Only then did they provide me with tracking information, which showed that it took 4 days for them to get the shipping kit to the seller's post office, who resides in the_same_ state. Now 2 weeks later and the seller has STILL not sent anything. Also still nothing from Glyde's side. Needless to say, I have just cancelled the order as this level of service is unacceptable.
THEY SUCK! MY SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 WAS PEFECT NO SCRATCHES FRONT OR BACK. They had me ship it to oklahoma in there box. The phone was returned to me and WHEN I OPENED THE BOX MY SCREEN WAS SHATTERED!. Glyde wont pay for my phone. Yet my phone was damaged with there address on it as the shipper. So now my phone that was emmaculate condition aint worth crap. Good thing they pride themselves of customer service. NOT. Dont use them they are horrible. You cant even call them. Thats sketchy.
Glyde failed to fulfill my order. It wasn't until my order didn't arrive on time that I found the order had been canceled with out my being notified. I had previously responded to email requests from Glyde customer service regarding this order and received a response indicating that the order was processed successfully. Glyde has no phone support and will only communicate via email.
I now realize that there is no accountability on this website because the buyers and sellers are anonymous. I will not risk shopping on a hidden marketplace site like this again.
Company is complete rubbish... I place a couple orders, I get charged for both http://imgur.com/qk9BkHa <-- that's the bank statement. And then they want to verify a bunch of information which might take two days. But the first order went through fine with the SAME EXACT CARD and the SAME EXACT INFORMATION. Oh and if you post this on Facebook they delete your post because it's a negative review they don't want.
This is a great idea in theory, but in practice it is nothing but an inconvenience. We were moving from Verizon to Ting, and purchased our phones through Glyde because they were guaranteed to work. That's a nice thought... if the phones worked in the first place. First attempt, ordered two phones. One worked fine, the second was completely unable to activate. Had to wait for the refund to be able to purchase a replacement - unfortunately, by the time that the refund came through, the one working phone had been stolen. Second attempt, we ordered two phones again. One was completely unable to be activated because it was reported stolen, the second, while it activated, only worked partially, and still receives no multimedia messages. We're going to have to replace both of these... again. It was a complete failure to switch carriers, as the experience with Glyde has been so bad that it has taken more than a month to switch, and several hundred dollars more than we anticipated. It is terribly inconvenient to have to do this, and the worst part of all is that they make you pay for all of the shipping on these defective phones. Their customer service is terrible and offers nothing other than the ability to return the phones, which should be something just basic and expected. I would not reccommend them at all to anyone. If you can in any way avoid it, I would suggest not purchasing anything through them. I have had 100% better success buying used devices off of ebay and even strangers through craigslist. Glyde's marketplace is a complete gamble and not to be trusted.
Tried to buy a phone. Three times my card was declined - saying the billing address didn't match. Called my credit card company - they said they approved the charge, it was Glyde that had rejected it. Then, when I tried a fourth time - guess what - the phone was no longer available. So, tried for a more expensive one, and it was declined again. I wouldn't recommend Glyde to anyone!
Fast and easy transaction! Glyde makes the process so easy by providing a buyer, a prepaid label and box! You can even electronically transfer your money directly into your bank account so there's no waiting for a paper check via mail. Very happy with the end result. Will definitely use their services again in the future.
The experience was easy and payment was simple nd I got the price I thought was fair!
Very simple and easy to use. Fantastic communication to keep me updated on status.
I sold four devices on Glyde in less than a month. All sold very quickly after they were listed, and went smoothly. However, only three were actually listed until I had one successful complete transaction. The fourth item showed no indication of not being listed except that it showed up as out of stock when being searched from the buy perspective. I emailed support, and they explained that it would list once I had a successful transaction. I wish there had been some indication that it wasn't listed yet.
It's a great website to buy and sell items. Every time I sold an item I have had no problems. I would recommended anyone to go to glyde, com to purchase/sell ipads, ipods, smart phones, tablets and video games.
The first time I used this it was great for selling my old iphone. The 2nd time however, I have sent a phone to a "buyer" over a week ago with no response & no information on the site tells me how to conact Glyde to let them know of the problem. Disappointed.
Excellent experience. Very efficient and professional process; everything worked as advertised to my satisfaction
Painless process! Easy evaluation of worth, great instructions, simple and fast shipping process. Good deal for seller and buyer. I don't see how it could have been easier.
In the past I traded in games, or sold them on eBay. I went through crappy pricing, a bunch of resell-bull$#*!, and ultimately just too much time. A friend mentioned Glyde earlier this year, I just started using it a few months ago, I regret not starting sooner. Glyde, keep doing what you do! Everyone out there try these guys out.
Very good service. I'll use it again. I just wish you can buy tablets from other manufacturers that you don't have listed.
Easy, peasy, and best price I was getting anywhere. From start to finish, it was about as good as one could expect.
Answer: Glyde is a great companyi did have a bad experence with a purchase but glyde sent out a return label on them and i was credited really quick. When dealing with companies on the internet i use my amazon or my paypal so that way its not hlding up my personal account. At any rate my issue was the person that sold me the phone had sent me a phone that was originally a sprint phone but flashed to cricket carrier when i tried to switch it to sprint they werent able to program the phone and i was already a customer only they couldnt figure out why. When we were programming the phone it showed the name cricket as we completed a reset of the system. So most people these days they jailbreak phones or flash maybe another work at any rate your covered regardless but i would recommend
Welcome to the future of buying and selling used phones.
