I have used GiftRocket several times in the last few weeks and it has been an easy and pleasant experience.
I will be using the site more in the very near future & already have other friends and family interested in the site

OK, you MUST read the FAQ page prior to ordering. After my original rant, I found a typing error in the recipient's address and freaked out (hours later) upon discovering my mistake. I emailed Giftrocket immediately and they replied within a few hours, assuring me they refunded my credit card. This could be done b/c the recipient (the WRONG recipient) hadn't opened the email or used the gift card. So, even though you have to go slowly when using their site, their customer service is STELLAR

Online shopping has become a thing of the norm nowadays. The problem is, sometimes you want a thoughtful gift for a friend or family member who may not live near you. Not a big deal if you know what someone wants, but what if you dont? GiftRocket has you covered! It is a thoughtful, paperless and trustworthy way to get money to those you care about. There are several varieties of e-giftcards to choose from, making it perfect for any occasion. There is even an option for recommendations in case you want to be a little more specific.

I will continue to use this service in the future. There are a lot of scams out there, but I can personally verify that GiftRocket is NOT one of them!

The vendors that appear when you are searching to buy a gift card for someone ARE NOT ASSOCIATED with GiftRocket. I purchased a $50 gift card for my family in another state for Christmas and when they go to "redeem" the gift card (that you were charged $4.50 for) they have to give their personal bank information or credit card. Who would do this?
When I e mailed customer service about them using Pay Pal to transfer the funds they said "no" cannot be done. When I asked for a refund - absolute crickets... no response at all. SCAMMMMM ALLLEERRTTT!

Seems cool, send someone cash through an email. It's not as easy to use as it seems though. It takes almost a week for cash to credit to your account (it's 2015, come on, next day transfers are a thing) Really, overall, it's just annoying. You might as well send a card in the mail and then text them and say "Hey, I sent your card, you'll have it in 4-5 business days." Plus the sender pays $3 in fees, which sucks. Square cash app is much cooler and instant. Or, odds are, your bank's mobile app has a send cash function that works better.

This is a site where you spend money to transfer money to someone else (hello, paypal). It is deceiving they have linked other companies to the "gift card" portion, when in reality you are simply paying to move money from accounts. I guess the only bonus you get from using Giftrocket is an "e-card" (something anyone could make in Photoshop, if not better than the ones available.) Lastly, the customer service is slow, my mother got me a giftcard for a restaurant and did not realize there was no affiliation. It took a while to get a response to correct this and get a refund. Save yourself time, and fees, this is not a great option.

I received a GiftRocket gift card as a present. It was in Canadian... funds paid for with a Canadian credit card. When I tried to redeem the card several months later it was denied because GiftRocket will no longer process non US credit cards. The entire purpose of this gift card is to allow you to redeem it to your credit card or bank account. This is what they show on their website and this is what was understood when it was purchased. After much back and forth with their customer service I was not able to come to a suitable arrangement. Anyone holding a GiftRocket gift card in a currency other than US will be in the same situation and will have to deal with customer service if they want to redeem their card. Based on the reviews I have read about this company I am certainly not the only person having this problem. I would suggest anyone thinking of using this company to think twice about it.
