I didn't know what to get my supervisor, who is always getting me awesome gifts for the holidays. However, I knew of a particular restaurant that she likes in her area. Lo and behold, when I googled it, I found that I could get an online gift card, quick and easy. It was perfect!

Ordered gift card to my email address. The site said it would deliver the card by email within 2 hours. It's been 2 days and I still have not received the card.
Once I could find a specific business in a specific city. Now I am confined to giving cash because the website "cannot locate" any business in any city close by. This has changed from the past. Sadly, I won't be using this once amazing website, as the convenience has gone away.
There is a service fee of $15. Xx, basically for... sending you a layout of the gift card? It is not even a gift card for the specified restaurant, in my case Bourbon Steak. It states to the recipient it is "recommended" for the use at this restaurant. Might as well put that money into a traditional card to save yourself the service fee.

First of all, I love being able to receive a Visa card as a gift option. Something that I can use any place that I choose.
Second of all, I had an issue with a Visa card that I let expire (my fault). I contacted Gift Rocket customer service, they responded quickly and once I provided them with additional information I was able to re-active my funds.

After purchasing a gift card from Giftrocket, com they contacted me via email asking for a screenshot of my bank statement showing the transaction, or a picture ID of mine, otherwise they would cancel the transaction. As soon as I refused to do so, several purchases were made using my card. Luckily my bank canceled my card immediately after they suspected fraud. Save yourself the trouble.

POST REVIEW UPDATE, 09/12/18: GiftRocket was true to their promise to refund; we received the full $50.00 gift amount and $4.50 processing fee today. I'm upgrading two stars, to three total, for responsiveness and follow-through. Please consider that there was no confusion or misunderstanding. Rather, a misrepresentation of what is advertised. Several people were inconvenienced. Particularly, the restaurant owner. Also, the cancellation was a surprise to us, as purchasers. Overall, not a good experience. But, we do appreciate GiftRocket for doing the right thing. Thank you.
My husband and I gave my parents a 53rd anniversary eGift card to a Turkish restaurant. They were embarrassed and inconvenienced, when the owner said he'd never heard of or signed up with GiftRocket. He honored the printed eGift receipt anyway, very graciously risking a $50.00 loss. Two days later, we received an email from GiftRocket stating the gift was cancelled, with a refund pending, though we had not yet contacted GiftRocket. It turned out the restaurant owner had. For clarity, the gift eCard itself says "Suggested at {restuarant name}." And, their website states you have the option of redeeming cash at a variety of businessess or at a specific one. We found GiftRocket through their online ad for this restaurant, at the owner's, ours, and our parent's inconvenience and expense. We now owe the owner the $50.00 grace he extended my folks, and are potentially out the $54.50, plus $50. To Amed. On a positive note, our parents found a new favorite restaurant, and we are wiser for the experience. Takeaway: Do your homework! Check out Yelp & Google when dealing with an unfamiliar online business. NOTE: I'll update either way, to give GiftRocket credit, if and when the refund comes through.

It was easy to use and I was super excited when I received my email that my gift certificate was available to spend!
I received a GiftRocket certificate from a friend and loved that i could just choose to transfer the funds into my bank account to use on anything I wanted. The money was deposited smoothly and quickly.
First we got flagged for security then we received confirmation that it went through at the same time we received confirmation it was canceled. When the gift card was received it wasn't intuitive enough for that party to figure it out. Frustrating and a waste of time. It would have been less of a hassle to drive to the store, buy a gift card and hand deliver it. Sad.

I received a substantial gift through giftrocket for my participation in a focus group. Although I was hesitant at first to put in my bank info, the transaction was safely finalized 2 days later. There may have been a charge on the sender's end, but nothing on mine -- super easy to receive.
Make sure you read befor purchasing. I sent myself a card just to see what my son would be receiving. You do have option to get gift card from a few select places otherwise you have to enter your bank account number to get cash transfer. Go on Amazon they offer better selection.
