I went to order tickets to the theater near my house and they gave me tickets half way across America in Illinois. When getting my refund they did not refund the "convienece" fee of $4. Nothing about this was convenient. Never again
Fandango & fandango now apps never work. It's non stop loading while watching a movie or show. Would not recommend renting a movie or show from them. You will waste your time waiting for it to load all throughout the movie/or show.
My daughter made a mistake when submitting the movie date in her online purchase. I did not notice until it was too late. Since it was $50, I wanted to see if they'd be willing to waive the fee and just charge me an admin fee to change the tickets to another date, so I called them. I waited over 20 minutes on the phone and then gave up and switched to chat, where I also waited over 20 min. They were completely inflexible and said they could not change their policy. So they basically made $50 for doing nothing. I then had to buy new tickets. I would not recommend their services.
Rented captain marvel online. A week later there was an attempt by the website to by $313 dollars in tickets using my credit card number. Either the site has been hacked or an employee at the company is committing credit card fraud.

I am avid movie goer and was using Fandango. When a $5 reward did not go through due to technical issues, I was promised it would go via corporate and come through. After more than half dozen calls, I was not delivered promise by representatives of $5 reward from corporate. I feel that the representatives - Brandon, Patricia, and Ursula wasted my time and denied me the $5 reward I was entitled to. I do not reccoment Fandango, their customer service is horrible.
Most terrible customer service Ive ever received. I purchased tickets to a movie and went to the wrong location, therefore ended up having to buy the tickets again at the right theater. When I called fandango back for a refund they refused to do anything what so ever for me as a customer. I spoke to a rep there that was rude as can be, then when I asked to speak to her supervisor she was apparently unavailable at the moment but would call back. The supervisor called back and was no help what so ever. Wont be using this money stealing business for movie tickets again.
Bought 3 tickets and just before the movie an AMC rep asked me to show him the tickets and told me to move because someone had bought a ticket for one of my seats. Called and emailed Fandango. When I called they said they would look in to it. The email responses were apologies because it was taking too long for them to answer. They asked if I still needed a response and explain their policy of no refunds after the movie.
I made a mistake and ordered two tickets with the wrong day. Went on line to change the day before the movie started. I had to wait almost one hour on hold with their chat service and basically was told:
Did you know as a Fandango VIP member, you have the ability to process a refund or change online and if you ask for a refund after the start of the movie and those restrictions are also in my system unfortunately.
Can not believe that I was on hold for one hour where my hold time changed multiple times as far as where I was in the Queue and I had the privilege of talking with a robot named Allan, and my name is Alan.
Thanks for nothing... you have my 28 dollars but will never get another dime.
Bought tickets but was unable to make show and I did not cancel before showtime. My ticket was not scanned so they should be able to check that. All i got was a corporate response saying sorry, I did not cancel on time
When I bought the tickets i used a gift card. I then threw it out. When i went to app to buy more tickets, there was no balance. These people expect you to use the gift card every time. I've never dealt with a company so crooked.
Missed a movie and because of the 2 hour window for return or exchange they just kept the money. No help from support. I removed the app and will never use them again. Lousy business plan. Don't help your customers or show some flexibility and watch your sales go down. Tell your friends, I know I will and have.
Like everyone else I hate this company. The prices were higher than buying at the theatre and they add a "convenience fee" per ticket. Bottom line is tell everyone you know to stay far away from this rip off company.
By the way, you can't redeem the gift coupon or purchase tickets at the theatre. You must go online and pay higher prices and convenience fee.
Don't bother...you will NEVER get in touch with ANYONE! Dog Crap company! Plus they lie, lie, lie and deactivate your gift card and never tell you. They do that to relieve liabilities on their balance sheets. Pure scum.
Very disappointed with their service. I purchased tickets for the wrong day and it was 1 hour and 45 minutes from the movie and they would not exchange my tickets. I wanted the tickets for the following day. I did not ask for a refund, just wanted to switch days and no one would help. The mistake was noticed literally as soon as I clicked purchase. I called, chatted on line and sent an email with no resolution. Well I hope there $22 response was worth it cause now they lost my business forever.
Fandango has to be the WORST service offered for purchasing movie tickets. Not only do they overcharge for the tickets, which are less expensive when you purchase them at the movie box office, which sounds somewhat like "price gouging", they charge a "convenience fee" of $3-$4 on top of it... and oh yeah. If you don't happen to make it to the movie. You lose. Yeah. They won't give you a refund. In short... FANDANGO SUCKS!
Was on hold for over 45 minutes to tell me all this BS! Even the gift cards were just that, gift cards, I promise will toss them out next time and tell the people who give them to me,: do you hate me that much:?
Convenient if everything works well. However, Fandango was not willing to resolve a dispute. They accepted a credit card that was not accepted at the movie theater kiosk. Therefore, purchased tickets were not available. Their recommended remediation could not be accomplished because they had not provided information that they said was needed to contact the theater. Poor service ruins a good idea. I will not be able to trust this vendor again.
We tried redeeming a $15 gift card online through Fandango and their website gave us an error saying it had expired. 1) We had received three $15 gift cards in a sealed package and the first two worked and 2) On the back of the card it says it never expires. I called customer service and a recording said all reps were busy and to call back later. Then the phone system hung up on me. I tried twice more and same thing. I called back a week later and was on hold for 45 minutes. I finally gave up.
Somehow even though I originally selected a day for my movie tickets, somehow it was changed. I got an email today asking how I liked my movie... well, I didn't see it. I tried to explain and not only was I hung up on, I have gotten the "no refunds" line a lot. I have no respect for a business that will not work with a customer over something like this. They have lost my business for sure. Lesson learned!
We had a 3 card gift pack of $15 Fandango cards that clearly did not have an expiration date noted. When I went to use them a few weeks ago, they indicated "no valid". I submitted an inquiry to Fandango customer service on 7/20 and I have gotten the run around and no replacement. They indicate they have escalated the issue but not will not respond. Beware the gift cards!
You cannot use this a Fandango gift card at the theatre. You must order tickets online first and hope you don't have something come up so you can't go since you have to know what show and what time you will be attending. You will be charged and additional $2 fee for every ticket to process. I received a $25 gift card which should have let me go to the matinee with a friend twice but due to extra fee and no matinee price available on Fandango I can go once with not even enough left for a child ticket. This is a rip-off. Do not get this gift card! They should be put out of business for making it seem they are helping you have a better movie experience.
Answer: Shauna, try Ken's suggestion. After years as a loyal customer & "Fan" of Fandango, I had an issue that should have been easily resolved. When I finally spoke to a live CSR, the response & subsequent email were robotic & useless. I now buy gift cards from the theatres & save my $$ and time. Good luck to you, though!
Answer: You do Julie S., but if you purchase it within 2 hours of the movie you are out of luck and that's what I happened to do. I accidentally chose that same day rather than the next day (Saturday) and since I was within a 2 hour time frame they said too bad. Never will use them again that's for sure. It was an honest mistake and I explained that but the woman on the phone was very nasty.
Answer: I would try emailing them, unfortunately there is no one to call as far as I know. If that doesn't work why don't you try calling a theater near you that takes fandango, ask for a manager. Answer: I didn't wake up with a dead horse in my bed but all other evidence in dealing with Fandango indicate that they are mob-owned. Perhaps the mob has more morals. Maybe not mob-owned. What would be worse than the mob because that's likely who owns them. Difficult question to answer. Best not to do business with them anyway.
