This is the worst experience i have ever had. I was in a car accident and Geico insurance flipped the bill. This was my first car accident did know how the car rental worked. My insurance covered $30 per day they tried to upsell me on a bigger truck. I say sure why not then they tell me i have to leave a $300 deposit. I said no way my insurance is paying so they say ok we only need $150.00. I gave my card then they tell me in another few days we will need another $150.00. I called my insurance and advised them they sais no way something is fishy here. They called and straighten it out. They told my insurance i was not in a Compact car. They put me in a bigger car to get more money from me even though insurance paid the bill. Crooks! 1
I returned the car 2 weeks later they stored my credit card and billed me $266.00 dollars saying i owed for tolls i had my Ezpass in the car now this car had Florida plates on it. They advised me someone left the Ezpass device on so i got charged. I told them i knew nothing of any device on the car fro tools no one from car rental explained anything about some toll mechanism implanted in car. SO THESE CROOKS FIND WAYS TO TRY TO SQUEEZE MONEY FROM YOU ANY WAY POSSIBLE. IWOULD NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE RENT A CAR FROM THEM. I HAVE CALLED GEICOAND MY BANK TO DISPUTE THESE CHARGES. I WILL POST ON EVERY SINGLE SOCIAL WEBSITE SO NOBODY ELSE GETS TAKEN ADVANTAGED OF! ENTERPRISE IS THE BIGGEST CROOKS DONT EVER USE THEM IF YOU VALVE YOUR

Enterprise in New Rochelle ROCKS!
July 12, 2022

What a difference it was to rent a car through Enterprise( Budget is a nightmare from start to Finnish.) Twice I have reserved a car that was not available when I showed up at the Budget dealer shop. They had no car at all to offer me and never even apologized for the situation that put me in. I needed a car for a very important reason. My daughter had several college tours lined up) I reserved, creceived a confirmation even pre paid for my car at Budget. Only to be left stranded and panicked On two separate occasions (Budget have a glitch in their system that doesn't update when they run out of cars) That was Budget in NewRochelle.
Now back to Enterprise in New Rochelle: Such a positive experience from start to finish. First and foremost I want to say that every single staff member was kind, friendly and helpful. I personally had the pleasure to deal with two lovely young ladies: Shannon & Jaena Rene. They were both so sweet, helpful and patient with me throughout. They were both very knowledgeable about each car. Enterprise is lucky to have such wonderful women as their employees!
I needed to extend my rental for a few days. Each day when I had to extend my rental car agreement: I had no problem getting an actual human on the phone to talk to. Serenity now lol I truly appreciated being able to get a human being on the phone that reassured me about the rate & who confirmed the extension.
Budget on the other hand is a stressful disaster to deal with. Budget doesn't even have a direct number to
Any of their locations. Try to get a human being on the phone: if you do you can make sure it's someone at some call center somewhere and no one you dealt with while renting your car.
Aftef the Pandemic and experiencing a shortage of actual human beings while trying to reach my bank or phone company or whatever it may be: I want to give praise Snd 5 stars to Enterprise for understanding the irreplaceable value and comfort that dealing with actual kind human beings provide. I will definitely always choose Enterprise if or when I need to rent a car again. Oh and I forgot: Enterprise was also a lot more affordable!

We were hit by one of your rental trucks and after contacting countless departments at your company, no one would take an incident report. I was specifically told by multiple employees to never use the words, "claim or report" or no one in your company would touch it. The person at our local branch openly mocked me because he knows he can get away with it. One person told me you have GPS tracking on all vehicles and he just laughed out loud when I suggested that you might. The local branch rep said, he definitely wasn't going to help me. When I asked about GPS he laughed hysterically and stated, "Go ahead. Call corporate, call claims, call anyone you want. Good luck with that! You track that down! Hahaha! No one is ever going to help you! Hahahaha!" Then, he hung up on me. This is the one person everyone at your company said I had to get a case number from or no one would be able to help me. No one in multiple divisions would start a case so you attempt to look for the person who returns a damaged truck. I understand it's a long shot, but it's what the police told us to do after filing the police report. I was repeatedly told you have ******* trucks on the road and you have no clue where they are. I find that hard to believe. It's clear that you have no system in place for non-customers who want assistance to report a hit-and-run renter. You rent trucks to companies for 2-3 years so they can hit people, cause property damage, and flee the scene of an accident and you will protect them, the criminal! No wonder your renter told us to "f*Ck off" and sped away. After two days of calling and countless Enterprise employees, they basically told us the same thing—to f*Ck off!

Never got the car!
May 17, 2020

On the 13th of May I made a reservation for my son to pick up a car at Enterprise at the Des Moines Iowa airport At the time I made the reservation I was told to be sure to have a return flight itinerary which we did in fact have When my son arrived at the airport he went to Enterprise and was waited on by an extremely rude and belligerent gentleman that wouldn't even look at his itinerary and refuse to rent him the car He said he didn't have proof of return flight but he wouldn't look at it My son actually returns tomorrow which is Sunday May 15th All I'm asking from Enterprise is that they give my son a formal apology or some type of compensation The apology I want from the gentleman that helped my son I've always loved Enterprise I'm a gold customer I have nothing but good things to say about them until this particular incident I'm extremely upset about this Something has to be done They have filed a report but so far nothing has come of that My son had to take a cab 30 miles south of Des Moines and it completely ruin his vacation with his twelve-year-old son Thank you for reading this hope you have a good trip

No customer service
September 2, 2023

Spent many hours calling the company and no one answers. When finally someone did, they were not understanding of our situation. We were supposed to pick up our car from Entreprise at Algeciras port at 4:00 PM august 31st 2023 and the car was fully paid for including full car insurance for 5 days. The ferry arrived at 6:15 PM and we called the Entreprise to verify when they closes which they proceeded to say they closed at 7:00 PM. To our surprise when we arrived to the office it was closed and it says on the door that it closes at 6:00 PM. We tried to contact DoYouSpain, by phone and by email to find out when we can get the next avaible time to pick up our car, and no one was answering. The next morning early they replied saying because we didn't pick up the car at the right time that we lost the booking for the car and the money we paid for the whole 5 days we reserved is lost too... they don't want to give us the car nor the money back. My conversation was with Martina - Hana and Claire Davis.
After multiple tries, we talked with Entreprise customer service and they said because we went through a third party agency, we should deal with them directly... DoYouSpain said to deal with Entreprise directly... playing ping pong back and forth.

We just want either the money we paid for or the car.
We don't recommend both companies for anyone. We took full car insurance to have a peace of mind but we missed thinking of the nuisance dealing with a companies such as DoYouSpain and Entreprise.
Although I want to thank a person who did stand out from the crowd of none professional and tried to help communicating with both enterprise Algeciras and DoYouSpain, her name is Monica Sanchez and she works for Entreprise. She did her best and really tried to help our situation, we thank her and which that Entreprise hire more people like her.
We are trying even today to get tge car and the office of entreprise at algeciras is not answering.

I STRONGLY DON'T RECOMMEND THEM! THEY DON'T CARE IF YOUR A SMALL CUSTOMER...
Summary: I reserved a 7 passenger mini van but they called few days before the reservation date saying they won't have the car or similar car available for me. Issue went to the district manager but the issue was never resolved by anyone. Never received a call from the district manager. Read below for more details of the issue.

I reversed a 7 passenger mini van for July 30,2021 8am to August 3,2021 8am. July 27,2021 I received a call from one of the store manager, telling me that they will not have the car available. He assure me that they will look for a car that will fit my needs, they will have a answer by July 29,2021. 1 day before my reservation.

I decided to contact the corporation customer service to see if they can help resolve this issue. After calling a few times, I was told to call other enterprises store to see if they have a car suited for my trip. Annoyed but I did it anyways, with no luck on finding a car that will fit 7 passengers.

I called again they transferred me to the scalation team, they just referred the issue to the district manager. I was told that the district manager should give me a call to fix the issue.

July 29,2021 I called the scalation team to see if I can get an update on when the district manager will get in contact with me, but I got a annoyed representative. Which she hung up on me. Sadly I can't remember her name. So I called again, this time I got a professional and carrying representative. She explained to me that there nothing she can do for me because this issue should get resolve by the district manager.

Now it's the end of the day (July 29,2021). Never received a called from the district manager or anyone regarding my issue and how we can resolve it. This is very unacceptable from this company because they made me be in emotional stress and nights without sleep. You have been warn!

Renting a car is supposed to be a convenient and hassle-free experience, but for one group of customers at Enterprise Car Rental's Hamilton Ave location, it was anything but. Instead of a smooth rental process, l was disappointment, and left without the vehicle I had reserved.

I had reserved a 15 passenger van for a family vacation, but when they arrived at the Hamilton Ave location to pick up the van, they were told that it was not available. The customers were shocked and frustrated, as they had specifically reserved this type of vehicle for their trip.

The Enterprise employee didn't offered any smaller van, I tried to explain their frustration and disappointment, but the employee did not seem to understand or care about the situation. I left feeling helpless and frustrated, with no solution in sight.

The negligence, disappointment, and failure to provide the vehicle that had been reserved left the customers in a difficult position. They had planned their trip around the 15 passenger van, and now they were left with a smaller, less comfortable vehicle. This put a damper on their vacation and left them feeling let down by Enterprise Car Rental's Hamilton Ave location.

While it is true that mistakes can happen in any business, it is also true that how those mistakes are handled speaks volumes about the company. In this case, Enterprise Car Rental's Hamilton Ave location failed to handle the situation with care and attention, leaving the customers feeling neglected and unsupported.

It is important for businesses to take customer complaints seriously and to work to resolve them in a timely and satisfactory manner. In this case, Enterprise Car Rental's Hamilton Ave location failed to do so, leaving a group of customers feeling disappointed and frustrated. It is a reminder that businesses must always strive to do better and to prioritize the needs and satisfaction of their customers.

In conclusion, negligence, disappointment, and failure to provide the reserved vehicle should never be the result of a car rental experience. Enterprise Car Rental's Hamilton Ave location failed to provide the 15 passenger van that had been reserved, leaving a group of customers feeling frustrated and unsupported. This serves as a reminder to all businesses to prioritize customer satisfaction and to handle complaints with care and attention.

Rental occurred and a customer service representative stated the vehicle may be retained due to store closure and inability to return vehicle on a specific date. We stated we had no desire to pay and keep the vehicle for a third day as as paying for it was not an option, and we were told go ahead and keep the vehicle. We were only supposed to be charged for the one day which we did pay with the representative on the phone that at that time, but upon return of the vehicle a separate customer service representative argued and did not honor what that one had told us and charged us against agreement. He also charged as a different rate than the quoted rate. That's a severe discrepancy and poor customer service

I had a flat tire 6 hours after I picked up the vehicle. I was on the ohio turnpike so the rental company was unable to get Triple A to fix the flat because the turnpikes are a private interstate and they would be fine or I would have to pay for a private tow company. I had to change it myself or wait 90mins for a tow company to show up and I'd also have to pay the bill. It was 4 am in the morning and there wasn't much of a shoulder it was very dangerous. I called enterprise to get another car and was told that I couldn't and I wouldn't be able to get a tire. I called back finally got ahold of a person who wanted to help they told me there was nothing they could do until a enterprise opened at 9am and it was about an hour away. So I ended up sleeping in a parking lot until 8am for about five hours. I drove an hour on a donut i made it to a enterprise they told me to go to a tire shop. Two hours later I got a tire and then enterprise charged me a 50 dollar service fee. I spent 400 dollars on this rental. I'll never use enterprise again

Horrible Billing Practices
September 10, 2021

Enterprise as a whole has been a horrible experience. I picked up my vehicle in Hope Sound and returned it at this location well before my personal car was ready, just to be done with them.
The first time Enterprise attempted to charge my card, they were declined. They called me and explained how much they were charging and why. I approved the transaction and transferred funds into that account for them to withdrawal. About a week and a half later they proceeded to charge my card over $350, leaving me at a 0 balance. I discovered this when I walked in to purchase groceries and my card was declined.
When I called to question this charge, they stated my insurance stopped covering the rental and they had attempted to contact me and my insurance company repeatedly, leaving messages. Finally, after days of "attempted contact" they gave up and charged the card.
I explained I had no record of ever receiving any additional calls or messages from them. They then changed their story and claimed they were not able to leave any messages, that my phone just kept ringing.
Geico states they did not receive any notification from enterprise either. Geico moved to immediately cover the cost and instruct them to refund me. I was informed the funds wound be returned in 24 hours. The following day, I was still left at a 0 balance. After hours on the phone back and forth, myself, geico and enterprise, they say they were busy yesterday, they will release the funds today but now it's Thursday evening so I may have to wait till Monday to receive my money back.
At this point I am furious. I have no money for food, my sons diapers or gas and I have now accrued fines from the bank for reaching a 0 balance. I explained all that to enterprise and they state that it is not their problem, they had every right to take my money. When I countered back with not before completing do diligence with myself and my insurance their response was they tried and I must not have had service or my phone carrier must have been experiencing issues that day.
I spoke to the manager at the Bayshore office, Stuart office and corporate. They all treated me like I was the one out of line. When I finally lost it after two day's of this back and forth they became offended and acted as though they had been bending over backwards to accommodate me.
I requested copies of all the records showing the charges, supposed calls and memos on the messages left. I was told that they are unable to provide me any of that.
Enterprise as a whole is a greedy, lazy place. They push the blame off on anyone rather then just acknowledging their issue and resolving it quickly.

Do Not Rent From This Company... Alhambra, CA Main St Location... they will falsify documents and charge your credit card months after the rental... even if a second party (Wondries Collision Center in my case) is responsible to pay. I had an accident in 11/2018 and everything was covered through my insurance company Mercury Insurance and Wondries Collision... so the paperwork said at the time of signing. Unfortunately, in 2/2019 I received a charge on my credit card from Enterprise for $327.00. I spoke to the Enterprise manager at the time (they have a revolving door there because they employees dont stay) and was advised Wondries Collision Center declined to pay them so they charged my card and they would not investigate my dispute. I filed a complaint in 2/2019 with my bank Wells Fargo and in 4/2019 I was declined the reimbursement because Enterprise doctored the documents removing Wonderies Collision from responsibility and now making me the responsible party. Wells closed the case. I continued to pursue the issue with Mercury Insurance stating at the time of the rental I signed documents with Wondries Collision as the responsible party. I had to go to the top branch manager of Mercury Insurance to get help. As of 6/2019, Finally Mercury Insurance agreed to the fact Enterprise should have never charged my credit card four months after the rental for fees that should of been paid by Wondries Collision. I am still waiting for the reimbursement check $327.00 from Enterprise. Today unfortunately I had to talk to the Enterprise manager Lucy and was advised it will take another 3 weeks to receive a check from the corporate office. When I asked for her last name and the names of the persons who doctored the documents because I was filing a complaint with the BBB Better Business Bureau, LUCY HUNG UP ON ME. This was not the first time I rented with Enterprise but it is the last. Your credit cards are not safe with this company, their practices are illegal and their employees are disgustingly rude.

Beware of $300 hold!
March 31, 2021

BEWARE - as of Feb 2021, Enterprise (Plantside Dr in Louisville KY) now puts a $300 hold on your card in addition to the rental cost, whether you use a credit card or a debit card. (I'm not sure if it's just this location or nationwide.) We have rented from Enterprise at this location several times in the past and never had issues. However, when renting this time, we found out upon arriving to pickup the rental that they would be putting a $300 hold on our credit card in addition to the $270.61 rental cost. First, it's ridiculous that the amount of the hold exceeded the total amount of the actual rental, but the bigger issue is that there was no mention of a hold or even the possibility of a hold when we reserved the car, nor was there any mention of it in the emails we received from Enterprise. In fact, my reservation confirmation email said the total charge at pickup would be $270.61. It is wrong for a company not to disclose something as significant as this. Had they done so at the time of reservation, I would have rented from a competitor instead - none of which issue such a hold when a customer uses a credit card. Upon returning the rental, I did speak with the manager about my concerns that I was not informed of the $300 hold prior to pickup, but he blamed it on corporate and then just walked away. Individual locations are informed when a customer reserves a rental, and obviously management at this location knows customers are not being notified of the $300 hold; yet there is no effort by Enterprise to contact customers to make them aware of the situation. So I'm making customers aware via this review. This was an inconvenience for me this time, but there were definitely times in the past when I didn't have an extra $300 available on my card and I would've had to leave without my rental. So, to anyone needing a rental car, skip Enterprise. Call other car rental places instead. It was too late for me to do so the day I picked up my rental from Enterprise because we needed to leave town within the hour, but I did call around to other car rental places before returning the car and found several places that do not place any such hold when using a credit card. I definitely will no longer be renting from Enterprise. Also, I noticed some reviews were concerned with vehicle mileage. If it matters to anyone, our vehicle had over 41,000 miles on it - a bit much for a rental.

Will Leave You Stranded on the Side of the Road!
November 18, 2021

I had a flat tire in Kokomo, Miss-a-nowhere-ssippi on a job site. Changed the tire with the spare only to find out it was flat. Called the location I rented it from and they connected me to Roadside Assistance who in turned sent me a tow truck. When he arrived I was informed he changed tires or towed people somewhere, did not provide new tires. I was on a job site and could not leave. Called the location again and was told Enterprise would send another tow truck with another Enterprise rental vehicle to drop off and pick up the one with the flat spare tire. An hour and half later I call back for an ETA... never heard of me or my situation.

They send another tow truck only to cancel it as soon as it arrives which wouldn't have mattered because the tow truck driver was instructed only to tow the vehicle to a local town that was 45 minutes away from my hotel. Called again and was informed I had requested an Uber. Uber does not exist in Kokomo, Miss-a-nowhere-ssippi and they did not cancel they did not cancel the tow truck. Tow truck driver gets tired of waiting and leaves.

Fifteen minutes later, the third tow truck shows up and informs me he also has been instructed only to tow the truck to a local repair shop 45 minutes away from my hotel. At least this tow truck driver waited 30-40 minutes while I finally got Roadside Assistance to change the address to tow the vehicle.

I was told by Roadside Assistance that the flat spare was not their fault and was actually asked by one of their representatives if I could just call a friend to come pick me up if there wasn't Uber available in Kokomo, Miss-a-nowhere-ssippi. I'm from NE Georgia... no, I don't have any friends down here in Miss-a-nowhere-ssippi!

Over 6 and a half laters, finally back at my hotel in Hattiesburg, MS.

Never renting from this company again.

My 69-year old disabled mom had to take off around 2 in the morning to take care of her sister. She showed a low tire right past the Loves on Hollowood Rd. Amarillo, Tx. I showed up. I called Road side assistance and they said I can replace it or what 75 minutes. I was right around the corner from Loves truck stop so I decided to take it around the corner, get air, and get her on her way. In that little distance the tire feal apart. I went to replace it and no spare. So, I called again. It took between 3 and 4 hours, feel asleep waiting, also was interrogated by the cops waiting wondering if I was on drugs or drunk. Just know I was at firestone at 6:45 that morning, because they had to call a tow truck, because they don't have the availability to bring me a spare. They did not have approval and did not want mom to wait, she was around the corner at my uncle's house because she had to charge her pain pump. I came back at 9 and no approval. I had a job physical test that I missed, and they refused to reschedule so I lost that job. Shortly after I was approached by the branch manager from Enterprise on Canyon Dr. who said they took the car because I drove it without being an authorized user. I stated that I tried to replace it, but no spare tire, he said, and I quote, " they are not obligated to provide a spare tire and I should have called a tow truck". So, without a car I went home. I called the complaint center twice and they said they will get back to me when they can. I filed on Friday and today is Saturday and no call. I called Saturday too. I was listed as a high-risk rental. I called ALLSTATE, my car was in a wreck, the reason for the rental, and he gave me another confirmation number to go somewhere else. They refused. The Allstate gentleman, Mr. Fowler was courteous and above board and an asset to AllState. Not obligated to provide a spare knowing my mom was 69. What if this happen in the middle of nowhere without medicine. You decide for yourself. It asked below of proof of purchase but it was in the car, I can tell you the new agreement AllSatte provided me with to replace the taken car was Y487NO

These folks at 3500 Charlotte Pike in Nashville, TN are just plain dishonest.

My car was stolen February 1st, and my policy contained no reimbursement for rental, but my insurance company did grant me a discount through Enterprise, so I hoofed it from my house to 3500 Charlotte Pike in Nashville to rent a car. I was looking for something on the cheap, and the girl at the desk said she would put me in a Chevy Spark. I followed her outside as she looked at the car and said, "Well this one's not clean so I'll find you something else."

In a moment she ushered me to the desk and said, "I'll put you in a Hyundai Venue. It'll be ready for you right outside in a moment." In a few minutes she told me the charges, that there'd be a deposit required. I signed the digital device and had the car parked outside. Someone gave me the keys, I went outside and inspected it. No one - not one, did a walk around with me at all to inspect the car. I noticed that there was a tiny vertical line going up from the middle of the dashboard to a grid top of the windshield, I touched and felt no break and thought it to be an antenna. I thought nothing about it as I drove off.

I drove it to work and back for eleven days. When I brought it back today, the same girl said, "What's with the crack in the windshield?" I said, "I thought that was an antenna."

She then brought the store manager outside who told me I would be charged $250 extra for cracking the windshield. I was flabbergasted, "What?" Then they made up a story about me renting a Chevy Spark, then switching vehicles to a Hyundai Venue, and the girl stating that she had done a thorough walk around with me before renting me the car. I pled with them: "Nobody walked with me around the car, and I didn't crack the windshield!"

They whispered a bit. Then wrote my statement on their digital device, and asked me to sign it, then stated that it was out of their hands. "Can't you check your cameras, it will prove that nobody was with me to inspect, and that the crack was there!"

To which the store manager replied, "I'm sorry sir, our cameras don't go that far back. Have a good day." They are keeping $250 out of my deposit.

Highway robbery. First my car is stolen by a thief, and then I've been lied to and cheated by my rental company. Thanks for hearing me vent, and beware of this place.

Never Again!
October 25, 2021

Gave 1 star only because the option was not there for "0". Although I have rented for Enterprise before, never have I had a terrible experience. Customer service sucks from the agents to the manager (Suzanne? Or Susan?) to the Area Manager (Dustin) at 524 Thornton Rd, Lithia Springs, GA ******* *******000. I rented a car for a week then extended the rental 2 more times (in the same car). I returned the car only not to receive my deposit back. I was told it was used toward the rental. Mind you each time I extended the vehicle I paid with the card on file. They informed me my deposit was used toward the rental of the car. How could it, when each time I called my card was used and the monies taken out of my account. Oh, um sorry Dustin informed me "someone" authorized my card, and he was sorry and that he cannot go back in the past but still nothing would be returned. I asked for the next in line of the Chain of Command, but Dustin refused to give me that information. When I called back and spoke with Suzanne? Susan? Or whatever her name is, she gave me the number for Anthony P. (supposed to be over Dustin.) only to find out she gave me the billing inquiry number that is found on the invoice… WOW! I called *******565 and was rushed off the phone by the rep saying my deposit would be refunded in 24 hours, well I am still waiting. The deposit never came, so I called again. Spoke with a rep that gave me the same song and dance not going into the account to see what happened. I then requested to speak with someone higher. I forgot the name of the person with whom I spoke with, but he seemed very sincere (he was not, he just put a bandage on the situation maybe to keep me from calling back, not sure). He listened and was very apologetic. He said he was going to send the information to the Area Manager via email (marking it urgent) and someone would give me a call back... still waiting. I called again a couple of days after the last conversation only to repeat myself for the 10th time. There were not any notes in the system from any of my previous calls. I called again. Now, I was asked for a "reference number" (that was never given). I was informed a reference number should be given after each call to pinpoint where the call left off. Well, she said the same thing, that she would send over an email, and someone would give me a call back. Nothing has been done, no records, no notes, nothing. My issue was never resolved, and I was never given a real, satisfying, intelligent, professional, apologetic, empathy answer from any customer service rep, manager, area manager, or regional manager. Customer service is everything when retaining and /or obtaining customers…old and new. NEVER EVER WILL I EVER RENT FROM ANY ENTERPRISE COMPANY AGAIN!
