The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to perceived deceptive practices regarding refunds and subscription management. Many users express frustration over the lack of suitable matches and the prevalence of fake profiles, leading to a sense of wasted time and money. Customers frequently highlight inadequate customer service, with limited access to support and automated responses exacerbating their concerns. While a few users mention positive experiences, the overwhelming sentiment suggests a need for improved transparency, better quality control of profiles, and a more responsive customer service approach.

The screening process never produced results. I cancelled my membership after the second payment, unfortunately I cancelled too early. They are proceeded to take another full years service I have sent multiple emails to try to get a refund for the second year. I haven't used them since about the 4th month into service. All they sent me was their cancellation policy. No further correspondence to my several emails demanding a refund. This is poor customer service and hiding behind policy when a customer is unhappy says a lot about their poor product.
Was the worst experience I've ever had! And they charge me $2400 for nothing and kept charging my credit card and never gave me any dates! It's a bunch of young kids running the office and don't have a clue what they are doing!
I joined this dating site 4 weeks ago and didn't like the fact I wasn't being matched with the women I put in my profile, for example I want to date someone within a 30 mile radius and I kept getting matches 50 miles away and out of 242 matches I had around 20 matches within the 30 mile radius and there were also many other things which I did not like about this site.
So I thought this dating site is not for me only to find I could not close my account, so I sent a email and they said because I choose the yearly subscription I will not be able to cancel until I have paid for the entire year, But I thought if I am not happy with the service you should not be forced to continue paying for something that I am not happy with, So I deleted all my photo's and on my profile where they ask you questions of your likes and dislike, I wrote down very offensive language which violates their terms and conditions and they have no choice but to cancel my account which I was very grateful for.
It is very disheartening. I am a nice, attractive, normal weight, decently employed woman with a complete profile and all the pictures they let me post, yet I really have had no success with any matches. It is very disappointing to be matched with at least 7 guys every day and get no response from any of them. It is like being rejected by at least 7 men every single day. When, on the rare occasion someone reaches out for contact, they are not even remotely what I am looking for so I don't think eharmony even looks at the answers to my questions or my personality profile. It has been a complete waste of time and money for me. Maybe if you lived in a big city it would work out, but then if you worked in a big city, you wouldn't need a dating service to meet anyone.
Joined for three months but ended up having to stay longer not by choice. I never got to meet anyone although I was matched with hundred's of matches I never got one reply from anyone. A friend said he had the same problem. I joined match after this rip off company they were brilliant compared to eharmony. I met lots of more real people and I recommend match nights. Stay away from eharmony unless you want to stay single, waste of time and money.
I see you have some of the worst reviews on your site. No questions, the reviews speaks volume. LOL!
Don; t deal with these people. My account was compromised in less than! Week and now i have to jump through hoops to request a refund for an account they closed. The first sentence in the email stated my account was closed because it was compromised. The second sentence should have said, we'd like to offer you... But all they have done is make it impossible for me to contact them except by email. And i can't do that because the email associated with the account has changed. SMH...
I have been a customer of eHarmony in the past and recently single, wanted
To give it a try once again. Within a week on the site, it became clear that the site had very few options available to me and I requested to cancel the service. I was fine with making 1/3 of the payments on a six month contract for my one week of service but wanted to cancel the subsequent payments.
Sadly, it is impossible to cancel online, you have to call. The FAQ/help page directs account holders to a select a menu option to "cancel" in your billing profile but that menu option doesn't actually exist. I called, was told I was within the window to submit a request to cancel before my next billing, and provided instructions on how to cancel. I did exactly what I was instructed and received a rejection of my request.
I regret rejoining eHarmony given that the options available to me have been so unsatisfactory. I'm sad that the inappropriateness of matches available to me on their site only became clear within a week of rejoining and that I am now stuck paying for a bad service for 6 entire months.
While I am very clear that trusting eHarmony to be a reputable and quality service was my mistake, "Buyer beware" is not an appropriate motto for a company with integrity.
I like the way they wouldn't let me access any profiles the moment the count down to my last 30 days started. Prompting me to renew. I could access later, but I didn't bother for over a week. I checked my account, I had a month left. Real scammy Eharmony!
I have been on eharmony for about 9 months and they are terrible. They take no account of criteria like physical appearance or even race. I mean seriously who thinks you can keep sending me people I don't even find attractive? They keep sending me matches that are not matches.
Eharmony is the worst, i use yo be on Match and Christian mingle and i thought they were bad. Pls what will happen if i cancel my visa card to avoid them charging me for a crap site, will they send my name to collectors? Pls i need to know what todo in order to delete my picture since i cacan't delete my account...
I do not suggest to use this on line dating. Although they say that you can meet the man of your dreams using their system of matching you with questions, it is way to restrictive. You are unable to clarify any questions you have; without having to go through a very pain stacking process before identifying this may or may not be the person for you. Some of the questions are so literal that you could pass on someone who could be your right person but questions are very unforgiving. BUT MOST OF ALL, THE QUALITY OF PEOPLE ON is awful. It is a total waste of money.
EHarmony tricks customers into renewing their account without their written consent. Apparently there is a button which is conveniently set up as a default to extend your account automatically. If you don't see that button, then eHarmony will not cancel your account until you pay for the full extension. I tried to cancel my account one day after the account was supposed to be closed and had my request denied. That's not a fair treatment of customers. Why haven't they set up this button to terminate the account after the AGREED period of service?
I signed up thinking this would be a quality site. It's all CRAP! I liked the way the questions were posed when first completing my profile, but the practices after that... BAD! Every time I log in, it automatically changes my age bracket, there's hardly ever any new matches (it's been about a month and I've gotten 2. There are just no new potential matches... therefore, no dates. I've yet to meet anyone on here and it's been 3 months. I READ REVIEWS BEFOREHAND AND STILL PAID GOOD CASH! GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!
BUNCH OF BS. I signed up for EH a few months ago. I paid the three month subscription fee of $10.00. Per month for 3 months (then they kept auto charging) I got matched with over 100 "ladies." only 10 lived withing 60 miles Didn't get one date. Just a bunch of BS and other members arent even paying customers
I signed up for EH a few years ago. I paid the one month subscription fee of $59.00. I got matched with over 200 "ladies." Didn't get one date. After not getting what I paid for, I demanded a refund. What EH doesn't tell you is they match you with people who do not have paid subscriptions and cannot respond. Customer disservice asked me for my email address. They had no record of it... imagine that! Since I paid with a credit card, I charged back the fee. If EH doesn't know who I am, they cannot keep my money. I outscammed EH! Stay away from EH. It's just a bunch of BS.
I signed up for eharmony.com and was not satisfied with the service. I logged into the site and went through all of the steps to cancel my service (months before it expired). At the end I got a confirmation of my cancellation. To my surprise, they continue charging me when the original membership would have renewed! I sent them an email explaining that I had cancelled my service, and they said they had no record of it. They refused to refund me my money. Beware of them! They will keep taking money from your credit card even after you cancel.
This site disappoints in every way. Dobt botger specifying a specific geographical location when looking fir a match as you are sent matches are from all 4 corners of the country regardless and that's fine if it's a penpal you're looking for or you have the flexibility to uproot your home and job in the pursuit of true love.
There is no way of knowing if the people on site are still activel'y looking for love but as I didn't get any response to the one or two I did contact I assume they are either false profiles (and I did get one scammer) or old profiles of people who have moved on (most probably bitterly disappointed with the service from eharmony) but do not realise their profile is still being shown on the site.
Cancelling your accoubt is not straight forward. To come off the site you have to close your account first and then email asking to delete your profile. Once you (quickly) realise it's a terrible site you are not permitted to withdraw from it until your subscription period expires. You are told that you have to leave your details up until the very end of your contract.
So, look elsewhere is my opinion and do not throw your money at this rip-off dating site.
Hey guy's - Just wanted to see on sunday morning what the thing was about- however unless you pay the man his 40.95 and sign up with a credit card- you get to see nothing-- don't waste your time- it's a joke...
This 5 day free trial is not only limiting but there is no help from e-harmony... each time I send a question via IM directly the automated representative avoids the question and steers me to upgrading (of course this is the purpose of the free trial - to get you upgrade) I understand the marketing technique but if E-harmony would give a 2 or 3 day trial of complete access for free I believe it would bring more customers...
BTW - The e-harmony free trial through Nov. 30th consists of
1. You answering a lot of qualifying questions
2. Receiving match "alerts" in your personal e-mail
3. No pictures of the matches
4. No access to your e-harmony e-mail
5. No way other than IM to communicate with your match
6. No way to know if matches are on IM
7. No one to answer your questions about how to IM because yours isnt activated
8. Your profile information
9. No access to read other profiles
10 But hey it's FREE
Answer: EHarmony is over rated and it's a lot of mumbo jumbo... If you're going to pay for a site match.com is set up much better and for a free site plenty of fish is really a nice site... BillyPrewitt.com
Answer: No. They won't refund you.
Answer: On your profile where you get asked questions like whats your fav movie and so on. Replace any answers you have already left with offensive language which in turn will violate their terms and conditions and they will have no option than to close your account. As for getting a refund good luck.
Answer: I called my credit card company because I cancelled within the three day grace period. Eharmony tried to say I had waited too long and therefore would be no refund. My credit card company disputed the charges, my account was credited and I was just notified that the dispute has been approved. No more eharmony charges. Hoe things work out for you.
Answer: You can't opt out. You are locked for the whole duration of your subscription even if u dont use it anymore they will charge ur visa regardless untill ur contract expires. I have to spend 11 more months to a site I cant use coz Im a transgender woman and no man in there wants me.
Answer: Well I have but I No longer on those sites anymore because they are scammers of course and I was on match truly.com and I deactivate my account off there as well but however sometimes I register on that website match truly.com even though I'm No longer a member on that website anymore because I still see the same lady Anna I'd Number is 60780729 and she's still online right now just like any other ladies you see on that site so I go on there just to waste their time and use abusive behavior against them to teach them a lesson and I don't pay money for that so that's why if you Noticed just pay close attention to the lady Anna on match truly.com and you will see her on wishdates.com and many other dating sites so I'm just tracking these websites down and you can see the ladies are Not real and can you tell me what Normal person would stay online 24 hours a day and seven days a week that's Not a Normal person that's a Networker and they like to make all kinds of excuses for themselves so don't listen to Nonsense about what they say because if you keep talking to these fake ladies they will Robb you out of your money so pretty much wasting your time because you are Not getting anywhere but a dead end and believe me I know what I'm talking about because I was on that website for two years and believe me they are phony and so is the customer support they are fake and they think they are very intelligent human beings and they think they can manipulate people so just watch yourself and be careful because I'm still seeing the same ladies on that website today from two years ago they are Not real and they are Not looking for anyone
