BAD NEWS
October 1, 2022

Crowdtap is going to be shutting down their website soon.
Getting less & less surveys to do after they did an update this year.
They're deactivating accounts with no apparent reason. If you do try and contact support, you'll get a generic email back. They won't give you a reason for deactivating the account other than violation of terms. And you can't get any of your gift cards after account has been deactivated.
This is exactly what 2 other apps did before shutting down the app.
Just a fair warning to all

Don't use Crowdtap

Don't waste your time or effort. They will disabled your account and tell you cause you violated terms. Which is BS when you've done nothing wrong.

Awful!

I would give 0 stars if possible - my account was disabled with no reason provided other than "violation of terms of service". When I contacted support I was advised that if I believed this to be an error, I could let them know and they'd look into it. I replied and advised that this was indeed an error as I've been nothing but honest in my responses, only have one account, and am obviously not a bot. I received a generic response within seconds advising they would not be reinstating my account. Their customer service is atrocious, and I lost points that I had been saving to cash out. I loved this app and was a loyal user who referred MANY friends and family, but I am deeply hurt and think it's grossly unfair the way this was handled. After looking at complaints on Better Business Bureau site, I can see that this is common practice for them, which is a shame. I advise either staying far away from this service OR cashing out points as soon as you're eligible - you never know when they'll cut you off.

Hi my name is Jennifer I am grateful to Crowdtap and what they have done for me but a few weeks ago my account was disabled without any reason and so far the support has not wanted to do anything for me just reject my request and I have already been answered by several people and it seems that they are bot because their responses are automated and are very groceries on their part especially Ms. Betty S.

My account was deactivated for NO REASON. I have been following the guidelines, answering the surveys in an honest manner, taking my time answering them, doing the surveys like I am supposed to and they deactivated me for no reason. I had emailed them back several times to ask them why they did this and that I would like my account reactivated as this is not my end, this is their mistake. Nobody has gotten back to me and honestly, I hate being ignored. Plus, they owe me rewards. They are scammers, they are fraud! I'm so disappointed in them, I really am. I was really enjoying the surveys and then BAM! Deactivated! They could at least get back to me in a professional manner and explain to me and then reactivate my account. This is their mistake period!

Crowdtap Issues Again.

I have been a crowdtapper for multiple years and have recommended the app countless times to friends, however now I'm sad to say that this company has been promising a fix for my inability to cash in my many points for months! At first I was told by a customer service rep that it would be fixed with an update - 2 updates later and I continue to get the same errors when I try and redeem. Customer service has tried to placate me that "it's coming", but I have earned the points I have and being unable to cash them in (yet able to keep working taking surveys) is the equivalent to theft. I have emails stating that my account is in good standing and they owe me the points. I am now publicly posting about this issue as being understanding to their customer service team has gotten me absolutely nowhere. They continue to lie and tell me that I will be paid, but I have gotten nothing. In fact, they've stopped giving me updates or responding at all. I worked for hours and have over $500 worth of points to redeem. I obviously regret not cashing in as I went, but for years my redemption had not had any issues. I saved those points for my kids birthdays which are now passed and I really need them for back to school supplies. Crowdtap has literally taken my time and effort and work and has stolen it.

Excellent Company

I have been with Crowdtap for quite awhile now, they've always provided me with accurate points and I have always received my monetary rewards within the correct time frame.
Unlike other survey sites it doesn't require tons of time to complete a single survey for a tiny reward or refuse to give you a reward because you were "declined".

I go to log into my account and find it's been deactivated. I email support to find out the specifics, and get the account reactivated, they refuse, on grounds that they have "security software in place to detect multiple account creators, spammers, and bots negatively impacting our platform" and that my account was flagged, and that they simply will not reinstate my account.

So, they're telling me that just because their software encountered suspicion, that I'm at fault. Well, unfortunately, the password I used for their site was one that got hacked and placed on the dark web years ago, so obviously it's been hacked. But they, in their infinite wisdom, tell me that for "security reasons", they can not tell me any of the specifics. I haven't logged into our used their site in like probably 9 months or so, so I'm sure they could fix the issue based on that alone, but refuse to even investigate, so here I am.

Hopefully, if any of you decide to use them, you'll go in knowing that if there's ever a problem, they will simply make YOU the offender, and not allow you access to your account or points you would've accrued over time. They simply do not care enough to properly investigate. Their "security software" is the brains behind it all, and trumps any actual work or customer service.

They disabled my account
For no reason. When I tried to contact customer service support by email for the past two weeks they have not responded back to me. I have sent several emails under high priority and nobody gets back to me so basically I give them one star. It was a good app while it was working but then after that I'm not so much I don't recommend people using this app because eventually they will do the same to you

I was a member of Crowdtap for a long time. Recently, they blocked my account, gave me no actual reason, and refused to budge on it. Also, recently, I have been getting a high number of personal questions in regard to my political, religious, and Covid-19 views and beliefs. In my eyes, I did not violate any of their policies or rules. They ask for honest answers where there are no wrong answers. I'm going to take a guess that someone did not like my views or take on something I was questioned about and decided to permanently block me. There could be no other explanation since I have been a long-time member.

Transparency lacking. If an account has been deactivated, I was informed that we are unable to site specifics due to security reasons. That they standby their security software to detect and/or flag certain accounts. Therefore, you're unable to verify that you're in violation of their terms of service and/or no recourse of action. But good to know for future and discerning credibility of products and/or businesses soliciting real reviews, etc.

Fun and easy surveys

I have been a member of CrowdTap awhile now. I love that I can answer questions and help companies develop items. In the past, I got to learn a lot about new products and share with friends and family. The site has slowly changed to more of light surveys of consumers opinions for product development. Everything I do allows me to acquire points that I can convert to a gift card. I also love when I get the chance to test new products through CrowdTap. They have really change in recent years and there is not as many samplings that there use to be. They have an app now that makes answering questions even easier. Being a stay at home parent with no income, CrowdTap helps me to feel like I'm contributing to our household sometimes. I definitely recommend becoming a member!

Scam and stealers

I have been doing crowd tap for a week and enjoying it a lot… UNTIL I cashed my points out for $20 gift card the next day they deactivated my account and I didn't know why until they said I violated terms and conditions …but how then told me I had multiple accounts. In which I don't and now they won't send my shift card because it was deactivated which is $#*! bc I cashed out the day before they kicked me off! Watch out for these scammers!

I tried the app last year and got banned for no reason at all what is with this app scamming people there are good servey sites that are legit and would really pay you and reward you with giftcards I recommend you all try drumo or servey junkie at least you will be rewarded.

No tasks

After initially being able to earn a little over 700 points, I now have zero tasks available and haven't had any in two days. A complete waste of time and not an efficient way to earn a little extra cash.
