This is what I get in my email:
We have reviewed your account and currently, you are unable to access the platform due to identified suspect account activity.

In order for Crowdtap to remain capable of rewarding members for their honest engagement, we will always vigilantly monitor behavior on our platform and enforce flagging and banning when necessary.

I have not used them for a long time and did not even get a chance to update my info when I came back to promote them. They will accuse you of violations that you did not do. That being said, do not join them they will disable your account for a reason of their terms that you did not violate. Backlisted!

I got banned absolutely WRONGFULLY, because I had been a member for so many years and I knew the right and wrong things to do, so I wouldn't jeopardize my account, I asked crowdtap why and got blocked and ignored. Obviously this was malicious. This company is horrible. It's like they're out to get you for no reason.

Why?

I was using crowdtap for 1 DAY. I was answering my surverys as honest as possible, and i had 1000 plus points in one day, then this happens to my account, it gets blocked, i dont know if its because i signed in on multiple devices then it timed out or glitched or something then it blocked my account after i signed in my laptop, i signed in my phone, then my laptop timed out, so i signed in again, then my phone timed out, so then i tried signing in my phone and it said account blocked, i just tried having it on multiple devices, please help me.
This email was not associated with my crowdtap account, i have another email for that, crowdtap if you need it to help me please let me know.

Like many other people they closed my account without reason or explanation after I accumulated a bunch of points. I had enough for over $100 and as soon as I redeemed $60 worth they shut my account without sending my gift cards. This is a common practice. They have 1/5 stars on BBB. They are a shady company. Do not use

This review is pretty much like most of the others on here, but I'm annoyed enough to leave it anyway. I just got banned for absolutely no reason with no explanation. It appears to me that they want users who are too slow to actually accrue points and get rewards. I'm a fast reader but my responses were 100% honest.

There are no words!

I have been with Crowdtap for over 6 years. I never had a problem with them one time until last Dec. 2021. It was two weeks before Christmas and they disabled my account along with many other people. I didn't do anything wrong. I got it back and have been disabled 3 times after that. I was told I was a bot one time, another time their security system didn't recognize my I. P. address. If it happened again where I was disabled, I was to contact Betty again and tell her. I've been trying to get a hold of her for a month! No response from her. The lady who did respond told me I am a bot and she can't reinstate my account. Give me a break! I barely know how to turn on a computer! If I was a bot, then why didn't Crowdtap get rid of me 6 years ago? This is woefully unfair to all of us good people out there who didn't do anything wrong. And from what I see on here and other review sites, there are a lot of us. Not everybody is a crook but that is how Crowdtap treats their loyal customers. And yes, the survey takers are Crowdtap's customers too. I've submitted several tickets to support. No answer back. Very unprofessional. In typing this, my stomach actually hurts. It sickens me that this company is doing this to good people. I finally lost my temper on them. I am a very laid back person, but after almost a year of their unprofessionalism and uncaring, smug attitude, I couldn't take it anymore. Who could! When you haven't done anything wrong and someone doesn't believe you, and treats you like a criminal, it's just beyond the pale. I have never experienced a company like this in my life. I honestly haven't and it's sad. I really liked Crowdtap and I'm sad to see this.

Scam

I loved this app when I first got it and I had a lot of fun taking the surveys. I always took them seriously and answered honestly. All of a sudden I try to take some surveys and it says my account is blocked. I try to find out why and a very rude customer service rep named Christina said it was for "security reasons" or something along those lines. Which makes no sense. I sent multiple emails trying to get my account unblocked or find out specifically what the reason was and she continues to be rude and then stopped responding all together. To me it seems that once you actually start earning money they block your account. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

They do not care

My mom and i both signed up to use our accounts. When they noticed our address was the same they disabled our accounts stating that there are multiple accounts being used in the same location. How petty of them after spending hours on my account that still works and trying to make an account for her only for her to be unable to redeem all those points for her gift card and if we try to make another account to try again that will only get us banned. What kind of service... do not use them. You are better off using swagbucks.

I was deactivated for no reason with over ******* points. I tried to cash out and as soon as I did I was deactivated. It's complete BS. I have contacted support multiple times and they give me no answers.

I've been using Crowdtap since fall of 2019, and had no problems - except maybe one time they forgot to send me the gift card I redeemed, but I contacted customer support and they sent it out pretty quickly. I always take the surveys that offer 30+ points and only take the 3 or 5 point surveys if I have extra time. That way, I reach the 5,000 point threshold fairly quickly. I think I've cashed out about $300 worth of gift cards over the past roughly 2 years, which isn't a phenomenal amount of money, but it's a nice little side gig. Plus, I like answering the questions, especially the ones related to food, beverages, and the restaurant industry (as a fan of healthy food & new food trends myself).

I did get one sample one time - it was a deodorant made from bamboo fiber or something like that. I think I forgot to write the review about it, so I don't blame them for not sending me more samples, ha.

Overall, Crowdtap is the only survey site I've stuck with in the long run. Swagbucks was a giant waste of time, in my opinion, and all other survey sites I've tried I've maybe gotten like $5 out of.

Definitely give Crowdtap a try. I've always answered questions truthfully and given full, well-thought-out free responses, and I've never had any issues with the site.

I was warned about this site by my friend they ban you for no reason. Wait until you here the reason they told me identified suspect account activity and couldnt give me any specifics. The person who told me this her name was Christina and she was very rude. I will not reccommend this site to anyone and it seems like a common theme they ban a lot of good members and give some stupid reason. I always answered honestly and put a lot of thought into my answers.

I have been contributing to Crowdtap for many years! Now they deactivate my account with over 30,000 points. Telling me the following: In order for Crowdtap to remain capable of rewarding members for their honest engagement, we will always vigilantly monitor behavior on our platform. Based on the above, your account cannot be reactivated. I've reached out to support again without any response. Contributors beware and cash out before they screw you too.

I've been with crowdtap for several years and their system flags my account for no reason often. I tried to redeem 3 gift cards after saving up and the next time I tried logging in, I was blocked.
I put in a support request and generally, they understand their system erroneously flagged my account. However, I spoke with "Richard" who was very unhelpful and incredibly condescending to me. He was not understanding and refused to pass my ticket on to someone who had the authority to review the flag. Seemed like Richard didn't want to do his job and just copy/pastes " we will look into it" but stick with the account deactivation.

I tried explaining the gift card redemption may have flagged my account and he proceeded to say that explaining myself just results in another ban? This guy needs retraining or needs to be fired with how he is making up rules and being rude.

I've bee n this site for over 5 years now and I don't understand why all of a sudden my account keeps getting disabled. I know sometimes my answers are short but if they a perfectly honest they would know that you can't make a answer long all the te because the questions require a yes or no answer. Plus sometimes people just can't think of anything more then that. If they really truly want honest answers then they shouldn't penalized you when you can't come up with something without either babbling or just straight out lying. I'm great at babbling but I just can lie on questions it's goes against every I stand for and what I raised my kids with. So please explain to me why all of a sudden in the last few months my account keeps getting disable.

I have been an honest and faithful Crowdtap member for several years, and recently changed email addresses when we moved out of state. I went to redeem my 3000 points for a $15 Amazon card and my account was disabled! I contacted Crowdtap and and was told I had 2 accounts and was banned. 2 accounts?!?!?! I have no idea what is going on but suspect the email information, (which only Crowdtap can change), caused this upset. My account has been disabled, I lost my hard earned $15 gift card, and I keep receiving nasty emails to complete a sampling survey. I have emailed back and forth several times, and the last time asked if my account could have been hacked. I have not heard anything back, and at this point am very disappointed with Crowdtap's behavior. My account was disabled for no legitimate reason, and this is the behavior you display?! I believe I should contact the Attorney General as well; this just isn't right on any level.

I have been a loyal crowdtap user for the past several months, ever since my daughter referred me. Although as of recently, my account had gotten deactivated randomly. I reached out to crowd tap customer support only to find out they didn't like one of my answers to a question. They went ahead and reactivated my account only for it to get deactivated again a few days later. I again, reached out to crowd tap support. They say that they'll get back to you in 24 to 48 hours as well, and it took them over four business days to get back to me. This time stating that they would not reactivate my account because I violated the terms of service. They did not give me an explanation of what term or terms I violated. I tried reaching out to them again and Harley Monroe told me that due to security reasons they could not disclose why my account was deactivated. As humans I believe we have rights and that is one of them. I have a right to know why I was banned from crowdtap. Especially considering I did nothing wrong! And if you won't give me a reason I really know I didn't do anything wrong. Support has been a nightmare to work with, I just want to compensated for the surveys that I did complete correctly, I have plenty of points for a gift card. If I had to guess too I would say it's illegal to not compensate people for their time. The way I see it you don't wanna pay up! Completely unprofessional!

They blocked me

There was no warning nothing and they blocked my account I redeemed two gift cards and they didn't send me when I emailed them then I got reply that I won't be able to get my account back and there would be no more gift cards for you, so I lost my account and lost my 8000 points and also I can't even send them an email

Crowdtap Blocked Me
April 8, 2021

I've been a loyal customer of theirs for at least a couple of years. During this pandemic, I was rarely logging on with so much going on at home. When I finally did try to get on a few weeks ago, I saw I was blocked and reached out to customer service. I got some message that it looks like others have received about Crowdtap's "security system" and "rewarding members for their honest engagement". I was appalled as I have never broken the terms and conditions and proceeded to email them back to let them know their response was not sufficient and if they could explain in further detail. I have sent at least two email follow-ups and have not received any response from them. I can also attest to the fact that they had blocked my mother's account too. At this point, with the way the customer service is ignoring my messages, it makes me not even want to be a part of their community and to tell everyone not to use their product!

Bans users randomly
March 12, 2021

When you are using the site, it is low paying but effective. However, they will ban you randomly. I was banned twice.

Once they admitted was a mistake.

The second time they said my response was unhelpful when asked, ""What products similar to this new potential brand do you currently use?" Your response reads: "I don't use anything like this." I don't believe this response is worthy of a ban and I'm not sure how else I could have responded honestly.

Unless you want to submit responses and risk getting banned for no reason, I can't recommend this site to anyone.
