I got suspended and did nothing wrong. PLEASE HELP idk what to do. Because i did a survey and got suspended for no reason
Crowdtap disabled my account again when i was nearing my gift card redemption. This is not the 1st time it has happened. Am sure they will come up with the same justification 1. Your responses did not meet our standards --- which will be rubbish as i always proof read my responses even for grammatical mistakes and punctuation as they suggest and to an extent i leave out the surveys that i don't qualify for. I had 2 surveys on my dashboard in which the answered NO as my response to 1st question yet the 2nd questions follows asking for more details.
2. The second common response i received earlier was we found multiple account under your name --- which again is bullish because i access my Crowdtap from mu laptop and surface tab and at times from mobile so if this is Crowdtap's categorization of multiple account then someone in Crowdtap needs to re-evaluate their policies.
I am going to report Crowdtap to BBB for their shoddy behavior, am sure they are getting their monies from the companies that are paying them to get the surveys out but when it comes to payout Crowdtap will lock you account and void your earnings.
It wasn't the first time Crowdtap flagged my account for not meeting "Their Standards" when i was redeeming my points too frequently. Opened a support ticket and as usual came back with the same response "your responses don't meet our standards" which is an obvious lie. The platform and the way they flag the accounts is flawed and in appropriate.
When I first found this site, I was really excited and opened it all the time to answer questions. I found it to be a fun and easy way to voice opinions and get modestly rewarded for it. However, like many others, my account was recently disabled and I really had no idea why as I always answered honestly. When I put in a support ticket, I was told my account was "disabled due to multiple identified accounts". The problem is - I don't recall ever making multiple accounts on Crowdtap - I was just always logged in with my same account, so I don't know where the multiple accounts came from. Perhaps it's because I have multiple emails associated with my personal google account (you know, one personal, one business, on school, etc), and it somehow registered that as 'multiple accounts'? I'm not really sure, but when I asked a follow-up question to find out if they could tell me what accounts were under me so I could investigate if further as I was worried there might have been some sort of security breach on my end, the response I got back was very quick, but kind of rude... I was basically told the same thing "Your account has been deactivated due to multiple accounts coming from your location and device... We have thoroughly explained the reasons for deactivating your account and will not continue to discuss the matter. This will be our last form of communication with you regarding this issue". I don't think the reasons were thoroughly explained as it was the same response as I got the first time, and the closing of the issue without being fairly assessed seemed curt and rude... and left a bad taste in my mouth as I still don't believe I had multiple accounts - if I did have multiple accounts by accident, I only ever used one account, so it just didn't seem to make sense. So, overall, Crowdtap is great! Until you get disabled without adequate resolution and get cut off by rude customer service..
Hi Katherine, We've sent you a message about this with more information, and our team has followed up with your request via email. Don't hesitate to send us a reply if you'd like to learn more.
Crowdtap will disable your account under false pretenses, without giving you a valid explanation. Oh, they will tell you that you've "violated" their Terms of Service, but ignore you when you ask them to please explain. And you know why they ignore you? It's because they have no proof to back up their claim!
I was vaguely told by Crowdtap that I was guilty of "identified suspect account activity". I reached out to them through email, letting them know that there was no possible way, and I asked them to please explain. Have I heard from them? No. I've also been calling their office since Wednesday, leaving messages, and to no avail, I have not received an answer, nor a returned call. One of the times I called their office, the phone was answered but instead of someone talking to me on the line, I was instead able to hear background noise in the office as employees discussed what they plan on doing after they get off work, while ignoring me on the line. Why, you ask? Because Crowdtap has proven to be a poorly ran company, with a staff that lie to their customers so that they can disable accounts.
I have always been an honest Crowdtap user and I have always praised their company, getting others to join because of how I bragged about their app. And for them to blatantly lie, stating that I have misused their product... it's very disheartening. They have falsely questioned my integrity. I hope that their company is honorable enough to fix this mistake, and reactivate my account, as I have always used their services in an honest manner. I ask to not be punished for a mistake that I have NOT made.
Hi Leslie, Thank you for providing us feedback. Since you provided your reference number with your review, we were able to look into this for you. Please keep in mind our Support team cannot be access via phone, which is why you did not receive a reply. The reason why your account was disabled is because we found you were using more than 1 account. When you signed up for Crowdtap, you agreed to our Terms of Service. Section 3 allows only 1 account per person, and Section 4.16 allows us to disable access if we find misuse of the platform. We want Crowdtap to be a fun and fair experience for all, and in order to maintain the integrity of our community, we remove access for those misusing accounts.
I reached 4,000pts to receive a $20.00 Sephora gift card which I put in to claim it two days ago and still haven't received it. So what do they do next? They block me from posting on their Facebook page plus disable my account now. Talk about a sham!
Hi Heidi, Thank you for your feedback, and we apologize for your frustration. We try to make Crowdtap® a fun and fair experience for all, which means we regularly review account activity and take necessary quality control measures. We'll be sending you a private message in Sitejabber shortly to collect information about your Support Request so we can escalate the issue and get you a response faster.
I was shocked to see my account disabled when I was close to a reward after 3 weeks of doing surveys? I am contacting the NYS Attorney General's Office and filing a complaint. I feel this group is possible a front for gathering personal information for criminal intentions. I will let my taxes dollars investigate. Maybe they should understand that integrity matters. I also plan to contact many companies that they use to gather their product information.
Gary K.
Hi Gary, We appreciate your feedback and apologize for your frustration. We'll be sending you a private message shortly to find out if you've contacted our Support team, so we can escalate this issue for you to get you a resolution as soon as possible.
I loved Crowdtap, and enjoyed doing the surveys for the past two years. A few days ago I noticed the name on my account was different. I reported this, and then found out my account was locked. Now I've been banned because somehow I violated some mysterious reason buried in the User Agreement in which nobody reads entirely. I see I am not the only one recently who's been banned for no apparent reason. This needs to be looked into, as in a few bad apples doesn't make everyone bad, and that people can make honest mistakes. That said, I was actually close to another gift card, and now my time has been wasted. Thanks for wasting my time.
Edit: Edit: Crowdtap contacted me, and still gave me the same vague reason as everybody else on why I was banned. The fact that that they stated that they looked at similar accounts means that this is a problem. And since they won't give me an answer as to what I violated, I have to draw my own conclusion: They banned me for being a minority and also be transgender. Yes, I believe they are racist and bigots toward the LGBTQ community, and will believe so until they provide concrete proof that I violated their terms. These are the type of people that when you say, "Black lives matter," they reply, "All lives matter." I have yet to see them address what's been going on with police and racial minorities since this all started, hence my view they are racists.
Hi there,
We understand your frustration with your account being disabled. Because Crowdtap is a free site where users answer questions and get rewarded, we often find users abusing the system and violating our Terms of Service (https://crowdtap.com/terms-of-service). After you provided us with your account information yesterday, we investigated and found multiple accounts connected back to you. This is a clear violation of Section 3 of our Terms of Service which states you can only have 1 membership account, and per Section 4.16, we are able to disable your account for this violation.
We also investigated to see if there was any tampering, and found no reason to suspect your account was hacked or changed unfairly. If you have evidence to suggest your account was hacked, our Support team has requested you reply back to your ticket with that information so we can look further.
We fully support the transgender community and allow members to update their name or gender through our Support team as needed. In this instance, that was not the reason why your account was disabled.
In addition, as a company we have taken a strong stance in support of the Black Lives Matter movement with a $25,000 donation split between BLM Foundation and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund (https://www.instagram.com/p/CBLf_cTF4F-/). We will not be silent while Black community continues to fight racism and injustice, and encourage our members to donate their points to the NAACP and Equal Justice Initiative.
This issue was resolved this morning, so I updated my review to reflect update. I don't want to delete it altogether, as this may happen again in the future and people should be aware of that as it was very time/ effort consuming. So, I have calculated an average for my rating. A month ago I would've given this site 5 stars since I had been a very satisfied member for a year. Unfortunately, I believe there was some kind of error that blocked my account. I have tried to reach out to customer service 3 times over the course of 2 weeks and nothing. And as I am reviewing all recent reviews, it seems that this is becoming a widespread issue. If you're thinking of signing up. BEWARE!
Hi Alisha, We apologize for your frustration and are happy to investigate this further and attempt to resolve it. Please provide us with the Support Request #s from when you reached out to our team so we can escalate the issue and have someone follow up as soon as possible.
Answering every question for 11 weeks gave me a $5 gift card. About as slow as PaidViewpoint.
The surveys connect to the same routers as other survey sites: try one, get routed to five other companies, and you might finish one, hit a dead end or get a page error.
Hi Rochelle, Thanks for your feedback. We're sorry your experience with us has not been fun and gratifying, and will happily work to resolve your issue.
If you haven't yet reached out to our Support team, please email them at support@crowdtap.com with details in your issue. If you have contacted them, please send us a private message with your Support request # so we can follow up with the team.
Crowdtap use to work well, until they started to banned and use people for nothing! They keep falsely banning peoples account when they are close to cashout. This is the second time this has happened to me for no reason. My friends even said they did this too! They are clearly doing this to others as other people I've read their reviews say the same!
Hi Briana, Thank you for your feedback. We at Crowdtap work hard to make sure that every valued member has a fun and gratifying experience with us. We take steps to ensure Crowdtap is a safe community for all members, which means we monitor account activity. We'd like to get this issue resolved for you as soon as possible.
If you have not reached out to our Support team yet, please contact them at support@crowdtap.com and they'd be happy to help you and provide further information. If you have already contacted Support, please send us your request number privately, and we can follow up with the team so you can hear back as soon as possible.
My account was disabled, yet I had not violated any term and answered each question extensively. The customer service does not respond in a timely manner. You could be wasting your time because they cancel your account when you are points away from getting a reward.
Hi Jared, Thank you for your feedback. We at Crowdtap work hard to make sure that every valued member has a fun and gratifying experience with us. We are sorry that your experience thus far has not been a great one.
We are working to iterate and improve our quality processes in order to offer the best opportunities for all members. We see some members having difficulties and we hear you! If you are able to send us your Support request number privately, we can follow up with the team to ensure you get a response as fast as possible. Please keep in mind the team is still working through a backlog of requests from the holidays which has slowed our typical response times.
I've been paid out roughly 20 times from prizes that range from 5$-25$ gift cards. I usually only get Amazon, and they pay out within 24 hours each time.
Never had any issues with them. Just put effort into your posts and you'll never be wronged by them. Cashed out around 300$ so far in my 9 months of using them.
They also run free samples, so far I've been accepted into a free battery pack and it's pretty good quality too.
I've been a member for about a year and is legit. I have cashed my points into gift cards and never had a problem.
Use it, is really worth it.
I was following the rules and honestly answering questions. I tried to log in and I am locked out of my account, for what who knows. I tried contacting support and I can't get anywhere. I did not cash in my points for giftcards, as I was accumlating them for Christmas. Waste of my time, and I'm sure I will never be able to get those points back.
I joined this site recently and was in the process of answering the profile questions. I kept getting warnings that I was breaking rules and not answering with quality responses. I answered everything honestly, wrote long answers to the open ended questions, etc. Account suspended. Emailed them and was told I broke rules. I asked how and they said I gave low quality answers. I asked for an example and was told again my answers were low quality, but they couldn't give me an example. They then told me that they would reactivate my account if I promised to answer with quality responses. So I log in today and immediately get flagged and not sure why since it was just a multiple choice question about what sports I like, I checked the ones I do and hit submit, account suspended. Not worth wasting my time on these scammers.
Well where do I begin I've been to survey site after survey site click enter click enter. It seemed everything is dull and gray until I came across Crowdtap. It's just not about answering questions you get to participate with actually products, where companies actually take in everything you "the consumer" has to say so I ask you,"what are YOU waiting for? Come On and join the fun at Crowdtap
Well, I have been a member for quite a few months now and they decided to shut down my account yesterday because I have been logging in at work. They also shut down two other people in my office. I explained to support that our server is based in another state but they do not care. The funny thing is that they shut it down right after I cased out for another gift card. I hear they are doing that to a lot of people these days. You have been warned! You might spend a week answering questions, only to get shut down when you go to cash out.
I've been using Crowdtap for almost two years, I got a new laptop and suddenly my account is being denied access. This all started when I tried to redeem my reward and they denied my ID Verification request. I had a high amount of points that I was trying to redeem that I have been meticulously collecting, but all of a sudden I can't cash out or even access my account. I emailed them twice and have called them out on social media, but nothing seems to be working.
Hi Cat - Thanks for your review and we sincerely apologize for your experience! Our support team would be happy to investigate what happened to your account further if you message us at support@crowdtap.com. We look forward to hearing from you.
Crowdtap is all the sudden not working for myself and many others, with no explanation why. I have emailed support and messaged multiple times on facebook with no response. They are closing the accounts of high earners without allowing us to cash out any money we have built up.
Crowdtap is simply the best thing. It is so easy to use and you will save SO much money! You gain points by answering questions (mostly opinionated) and you get gift cards! The most you can get is $20 and they reward you with Ulta, Amazon, etc! You will save SO much money, I promise!
Answer: You are not compensated for anything. You earn points. The points get you entries in contests. You could win just like you COULD win the lottery. You do not earn points that you can cash into gifts card or money. Remember this. Many times people who work for the company will do reviews on sites like this to make the company look good.
Answer: If you don't answer questions their way you're getting kicked off with no explanation or a response. And they will keep whatever points you have earned. They purposely ignore your emails. Sinister.
Give your opinion. Get rewarded.
Crowdtap offers up thousands of questions for you to answer every day. Simply share your opinion and earn rewards, gift cards, and free product samples. It’s that easy. https://bit.ly/2PD5fEg
Hi Sophia, We'll be sending you a message shortly so we can look into this for you.
