I sent $50.00 worth of gift cards to them on 1/8. Its now 1/23 and no payout has been received although there website says the turnaround time is much quicker. I have not received a response to the 2 emails I sent. When I went on FB to let people know, they starting marking my comments as spam. There is no customer service number. If you look online, there are MANY people saying the same thing. They basically had me mail them $50.00 and i have no way of getting it back. I have reported them to the FTC and BBB and I am posting every day on every complaint, rip off report, etxc. I can.
Their customer service is extremely poor and don't bother trying to call the number listed. I called 3 times and received no response. I wanted to gift card exchanging a try but it turned out to be a waste. I'm getting frustrated just writing this!
Cardpool is simply not responsive. When i had a question - i got a automatic response and that was it.
I have been purchasing gift cards from Cardpool for a couple years now. I made a purchase yesterday and the gift card does not work / not valid and I have tried many times to add it to my Starbucks account. I have sent some emails to Cardpool and they just do not answer anything in a timely manner. They have your hands tied when it comes to speaking with them and getting something resolved right away. Gonna have to dispute the charge with my credit card company. A complete waste of a couple hours of my time when a phone call may have solved my problem in a timely manner. Sorry Cardpool but I am done with your company.
I had an egift card. Was exchanging for an Amazon card. No response so I emailed and got an auto-reply. Waited for a human to contact me, days go by. Finally 2 weeks later some creep calls to verify info. He has an old address I didn't even provide and wants me to give him other personal info. I told him to lose my number. Best bet is cardcash. Sold to site and got a direct deposit. Whole process was 3-5 business days.
***EDIT 1/29/18*** - I received an email last Wednesday that my gift card that I sold was FINALLY received & my Amazon credit would be processed the following "full business day". I finally received it TODAY (definitely more than a full business day later). So, if you are patient - I hope you get your credit! Such a pain. I will be going elsewhere in the future for business card sales, such as Raise, Ebay or hell. Just using the damn gift card. **end of Update**
I sold my gift card on 12/29/17 for an Amazon credit. I've used Cardpool twice in the past and had a positive experience so I thought this would be the case. I dropped my card off in the mail on 1/3/18 and have yet to receive any sort of return compensation. I emailed customer service on 1/12/18, and on 1/15/18 they said they haven't received it yet & to give it more time. What the what?!? Something isn't right here. Stay away if you can!
Wish I'd read these reviews before wasting a week of my life with Cardpool. No response to initial sale or e mails, then a week later "sorry, taking longer due to high demand" and "will be complete shortly". So already WAY beyond times quoted on their web site, no proactive communication and then a huffy response about security and validity. Stay away - abysmal Customer "Service"
My legit gift card was accepted for sale on 1/9. I received a confirmation, but heard nothing for the next two business days. So I emailed customer service. They sent me a form letter, but never got back. Three days later I checked their site and saw that my order was still in progress. Emailed them again, no response. I checked my gift card balance and saw that it was still full, so I completely cancelled my order with cardpool and went through another service. I can't imagine how they're in business with practices like these. Complete waste of time.
Great service, easy to do, fast payment, got the most money for my gift card compared to other sites.
I tried to sell a CostCo gift card that had a $100 balance. Go to the website and says we don't need the gift card. Enter the card number with the PIN. Waited 3 business days days and the website says still under review. At this point, I said "Forget It".
Canceling the sale is pretty straightforward so I can't complain on that aspect.
Then I went to the local Safeway and asked about selling the gift card since CardPool says that you could sell it there. No one at Safeway knew anything about selling a gift card. (Now to be fair just maybe no one at the Safeway knew how to do the transaction but I have my doubts as I went during the middle of the day)
This company stole my gift cards. $125 worth of cards went missing for 15 days, and are still missing. I sold one online but never received a check. I emailed them twice and contacted BBB. The only way I received a response was spamming their Facebook wall and messenger.
If you want real action I swear this number is their main desk. (415) 419 - 8787. Bruce will answer. Tell them you dont care if its a verification desk. Demand they cancel your transaction and find your cards. I did this and got my Sephora gift card and debit card information back! This is an AWFUL company.
My sons received the following gift cards for Christmas - (2) Target, (2) Starbucks and (2) GameStop. They preferred cash (of course), and asked if I could sell their cards for them. In the past I've sold single gift cards on eBay, but since I had six cards to sell this time, I wanted to find an easier alternative.
I found Cardpool at the top of my Google search with some decent reviews from bloggers. They had some not so good reviews on SiteJabber, but I decided to give Cardpool a shot (wish I had listened to you guys!)
At first Cardpool seemed super user-friendly. I entered each card type, card amount, card number and PIN on the Cardpool website and opened my account. I was quoted very decent prices, with a slightly higher payout for Amazon credit. I decided to take the Amazon credit option. The website quoted two business days for processing to verify the cards at which point my Amazon credit would be emailed to me. They say typical processing time is one business day, but over the holidays they require two business days - Sounded great!
Five business days later and there are no emails from Cardpool with my Amazon credit and no changes to any of my cards' submission statuses online. At the end of the 5th business day, I messaged them via their support email. They do not offer any phone support. I received an automatic response which stated they would reply to my message in no longer than 2 business days - okay, I can wait another two days.
Four business days after I emailed their support, and still no emails from Cardpool - no emails for my original submissions and no emails from support. I checked my online account, and all of my submissions are also unchanged.
They quoted me two business days for my Amazon credit, and it has now been a total of nine business days and no word from them. I have no idea if they would ever get back to me, so I logged into my Cardpool account and removed all of my submissions - fortunately, they make this process easy!
I tried another Google search, and I found an almost identical offer from one of their competitors, also for Amazon credit. I submitted my cards online to their competitor's site, but this time I had my Amazon credit within 24 hours!
I can't speak to Cardpool for buying gift cards, but I can say with assurance for selling gift cards, they may quote the highest payout, but you could be waiting until NEXT Christmas to get it! Their customer service is also non-existent. My best advice - don't waste your time with Cardpool. There are definitely more reliable options available with same easy submission process and comparable payouts who actually make good on the offers they make!
This moron of a company advertises "quick cash for your gift card" at kiosk locations.
I followed the steps gave machine my $100 gift card and it gave me back a visa gift card with $60 on it, WHAT THE $#*! IS THAT?! What $#*! would sell their gift card to receive another gift card of lesser value. Are you $#*!ing kidding me. This company is an all around scam!... and the stores that have these kiosks are apart of it!. Reporting these scumbags as well as the customer service, who was a complete $#*! to me when i called to get some answers on 1/8/2018 at 8:50pm!
I see that your company is definitely a FRAUD. I sent my GC in on Dec 22nd and still not rec'd my monies nor have a I rec'd a return email. I have sent 4 emails and no response and no phone # This company definitely is a FRAUD Company!
I sold these guys a 100.00$ gift card on dec 8th 2017 and received and email the next day saying my check was sent out great I anticipated the check to be in my mailbox 3-5 days as stated in email however weeks went by I reached out to them via email seeing that this business does not have a phone number to contact sketchy much. I received an email back days later stating that they for sure sent my check and that if I don't receive in 3 weeks to then contact them again which again no check so I reached out thru email once again and then never got a response back to where my check was here we are week 6 and surprise surprise no check again. So I said ok what ever I still have my gift card haha was I wrong I checked the balance on the gift card and yup to my surprise again it shows a $0.00 balance which means not only this company took my gift card but they also never sent me a check I contacted the BBB and they reached out to company as well with no response back. This company is a complete scam and hope they are held accountable for all these poor people including myself who have been scammed by this company my best advice is to never do any kind of transactions with this company you will be taking advantage of like almost all of us.
I tried to sell my Walmart gift card, and 10 days later... nothing. I wrote in to them twice, and they never responded. Terrible customer service.
Sold a 100 dollar gift card never got paid this site does not care about sellers at all they only look after buyers. If you want to rip off someone trying to unload gift cards this is the place to go
I sent in an $83 Marshalls Gift card to them on 12/1 - had to send physical gift card. They were supposed to send me a check for $60 and never did. They do not answer phone or email. They have effectively stolen $83 from me at this point. Contact BBB. Do not use this company!
I had been both a buyer and a seller over a year at carpool. Over the past 2 months, something has drastically changed! I mailed in 6 separate transactions using their labels & didn't think much about it since I had been a client & customer in the past. This time, they told me they have not received any of my cards. They have unanswered most of my inquiries and have refused to provide any additional contact information. This is horrifying because it's a company I had grown to trust. Now I am contacting the better business bureau and reporting them.
I purchased a gift card from cardpool around Christmas. I experienced embarrassment when I attempted to use my card at the location I purchased from. I was told my card was "deactivated." It left me wondering if this was a stolen card purchased by them and resold to me. I contacted them and told them what my issue was. I had over $94.00 left on my card, but was only refunded $70.00 by them. I felt like a victim after the slap in the face and only getting some of my money back. I re contacted them and explained how I believed it was unfair, but haven't heard back. I'm being ignored now. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! They do not refund your full amount and blow you off when you have a problem.
Answer: They cheated me out of 75 dollars in gift cards they need to pay up
Answer: DON'T DO IT! You're just rolling the dice with this company, if there is a problem, you ave no recourse.
Answer: Hi Justin I would not use there service they scammed me out of a 400 Home Depot gift card then the block your account ignore emails and leave you with nothing I hope you look to another service it will save you headaches
