I ordered a photo with the "oil painting effect" stretched on a frame from bestcanvas.com. I placed my order using a discount which gave me $88 worth of credit for $40.
The first problem I had was that Best Canvas only applied $80 toward my purchase instead of the $88 it was worth. When I called to inquire as to what the issue was, no one picked up despite repeated phone calls mid-January. I decided to follow these calls up with an email. More than a week later I never received a response.
My item was shipped promptly and I received it within the same week of placing the order, however when I opened it I saw that the photo did not have the 'oil painting' effect which I had ordered. It was simply a plain, enlarged photo stretched over a cheap wooden frame.
I again called Best Canvas a week later to complain and again after several calls, I could reach no one. I also again followed up with an email and as of today, I have received no response. Fortunately I complained to the company from I purchased the credit about the deal and they have EXCELLENT customer service resulting in me getting a full refund for the voucher I used.
Best Canvas is obviously not in business for the long haul. Perhaps it's someone's part-time business? They don't seem concerned with retaining customers and there is no customer service. I imagine legal problems are ahead for this company.
Ordering was easy, delivery was slow. Ordered 4 for Christmas presents; ALL 4 canvasses were TOO SMALL for the frames. Website has now not responded to 4 emails and phone number provided does not answer... ever. Was fooled with ". Ca" site suggesting Canada. Actually, apparently Miami based so they don't... care about Canada. This is a scam, rip off site. DON'T GO NEAR THIS OUTFIT
This site is a sham. Oh, you'll get your canvas (shipped in a month, not 2-3 days), but it'll be rolled around pieces of frame with a one page instruction on how to frame it yourself. The edges of the canvas are cut so unevenly that it must have been done so poorly on purpose.
No attempts to contact them have been successful, and they have an F with the BBB.
If you want a $#*!ty canvas print for cheap by all means go for it. But if you want something nice to hang on your wall or give to someone get it somewhere else.
Horrible quality canvas transfer
Instead of receiving your canvas on professionally stretched frame, you're sent 4 cheap pieces of wood you put together yourself; their website doesn't tell you that you build it yourself, of course.
My photo on the canvas was off center and not large enough to cover the entire front surface of the canvas such that the "edge" of the canvas was visible on the front. Very horrible looking, too horrible to do anything but toss in the garbage.
I phoned them and left a voicemail message to complain about the above; no call back received. Ironic considering on their main page they promise a "money back guarantee."
I also emailed them with my complaints, included photos I took of my pathetic looking canvas and I received no response whatsoever.
Here in Canada, they have a Canadian website, with a Canadian domain. So you're left to believe they're a Canadian company. High shipping charges reflect items being shipped from FL. You don't realize item ships from FL until you receive your order confirmation email.
