I bought 2 Bytetags. Really wanted to love these tags but I'm left super disappointed. The concept is great but the tag itself is just useless. The QR code is so small that it takes a long time to maneuver the camera just right so it scans the code. You can't scan the code with the collar on and it's still difficult to do off. Huge waste of money. I do not recommend.

Great idea, poor execution. Our dog is active, but not crazy; 2 months in, no it's no longer scannable.

The silicone products are all garbage. They come with QC issues such as damage or holes and the colors are extremely dull compared to what they advertise. I have emailed them numerous times and they never respond. This is a scam company. The packaging was also as shoddy as they come. Do not waste your time.

I ordered 2 tags. One for my German Shepherd and the other for my rescue dog that weighs 50 pounds. I followed the weight and size info on their site. When they arrived I was shocked at how small they both were. They would not fit either of their collars. I tried to return them and they said they have a no return policy. What a shady company.

I ordered the largest size they had, and it's small! The loop is about 1-3/4 cm inside diameter. I emailed their customer service about a replacement (because maybe they shipped the wrong one) and I never got a reply. So, I would not recommend buying from these people.

Purchased 1 month ago and the QR code has partially rubbed off and won't scan. My dog is not super active and wouldn't expect that after a short time it wouldn't work. It's a great idea, but incredibly poor quality

The QR code is too small for my Pixel 7Pro to read it. And now these scammers won't accept a return.

Got an email confirming purchase. Got an email with pre-shipment info. This was 3weeks ago. No email responses to shipping inquiries. Lots of solicitation emails from them clutter my inbox.
I called the number on my card transaction and they hung up on me.

I have been waiting over 4 months for my order to arrive, have sent multiple emails and tried contacting them on Facebook and no-one replies. Do not order from this company!

I get false scan notifications every day! It's an easy to guess link and anyone can hack their system to send scan notifications.

Would help if dog is lost and finder was honest. Requires when scanned to accept location. Thief would not accept. Not allowing to see where pet is.

What product would be sending a GPS scan of anything 24/7, for $20? It clearly said in the ad that it gives GPS coordinates WHEN SCANNED. Not live GPS coordinates of your dog or cat. Nothing does that, not even your car. You turn "find your phone" on and off. The beauty of the barcode is that people are prone to scan things. They aren't prone to check things out or to call. It's the OWNERS job to keep their pets secure or to act act upon those alerts when it is scanned.

Customer service sucks! They advertised buy one get one free. They charged me for two anyway. I emailed them explain the situation they told me there was a code I was supposed to enter that I never received. They told me that was unfortunate. I called PayPal and they are looking into it. They have no number so you can speak to a person just an a****** e-mail. They're nothing but a scam

I ordered 2 of the tags for my dog, and due to some circumstances I no longer need them. I haven't even received them yet and I asked if I could return them. I was told that they have a ZERO return policy unless the tag comes in damaged. They sent me their return policy and said no returns and I could gift them but there would be no return. There is nothing on their website that states all sales final unless damaged. Their customer service couldn't care less nor would they work to some sort of satisfactory agreement. Do some research and there are plenty of alternatives out there.

I throw these tags on my Horses and dogs, absolutely love it. I've had some trouble securing them to my crazy dog but that's no fault of the company. The tags have stayed on all 3 of my horses no issue. Two are actively working, going down trail, wrangling cattle, rolling, going to the beach, all without loosing the tags! One horse is loose in over 100 acers of bush land complete with barbwire and it looks just as good as when I bought it. Both my orders have come quick and look exactly as expected. Such a nice size, can't wait for more colors and to get one to stay on my crazy farm dog! My house dog is digging it and I can't even express how content I am knowing my animals have these tags on. Anytime they're loose or lost someone can simply scan the tag for my number or know the animal is right where they belong. Love being able to update/change info at will with so many details and even pictures. Silicon or hard plastic options, package is great. Just so happy.

After less than a year the layers separated and then the tag fell off and is now lost somewhere outside.

I bought a byte tag and i wanted to return it. I ended up getting the Fi collar instead. Let me tell you I requested a return multiple times and I never got an email back. They never intend on giving money back because the product has to be unopened. Like maybe I want to open the package to find out what it is it doesn't mean I used it. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. I just want to return the freaking product.

Does not provide proactive GPS tracking. Location only provided if/when a 3rd party scans the tag.

Summary: Don't buy this worthless product.
