These ByteTags are the best invention ever! They really give me peace of mind, especially if my dog ever wanders off. The customer service was awesome too, super responsive and patient with all my questions. 10 gold stars!
These ByteTags give me peace of mind knowing if my dog ever gets lost, I can get them safely back to me! I actually lost my first ByteTag and customer service got back to me so quickly about using the lifetime warranty to get it replaced quickly! Highly recommend :)
I bought 2 tags to start with.think they were on-sale for $ 10 each. Regular rice was over $20 I got recieved had a little ring to attach to dog collar ring on didn't had to use a key ring. The little ring broke. Tag was lost, contacted byte tag, said they would send me a new one just for shipping. I then bought 2 more for my rescues. After that first problem plastic got scratched and QR wouldnt scan. One got chewed and wouldn't scan, 3 rd one plastic tab broke off.
I have have contacted buyers tag about all of this several times. I have yet to receive a response.
Don't buy ok product but not super reliable and poor customer service.
Made my order over a month ago and haven't gotten anything in the mail. They had no problem taking my money immediately. When I reached out a couple weeks ago they said " We're still a relatively new business, so we're working out some issues as we go." If this is a legitimate business, I seriously doubt it will last.
Placed an order on 12/4/23 and charged immediately. Order has never shipped, over a month later. I have reached out to the company via email and social media with no resolution. They sent an email asking for a review which I clearly gave a poor review. I included my order information and asked for resolution with no response, again. I filed a BBB complaint since PayPal has the transaction marked as unable to file a complaint (not sure why). Don't waste your time and money. Many other complaints about being charged and and never receiving product.
Purchased and paid for two byte tags, never received them. Emailed and tried to contact customer service, no response after the intial one that said it takes 4-6 weeks. It has been much longer than 4-6 weeks and no response.
If i could give negative stars, i would. I ordered two of the byte tags and the beginning of December 2023. The shipping label was created on December 10 and USPS is still awaiting the package as of today, 12/27/23. I requested to cancel and refund on 12/16, since there was no way it would get here by Christmas and i had to buy replacement gifts. They have ignored the request and keep saying they will investigate and let me know when it is shipped. Absolutely insane. BUYER BEWARE.
In a nutshell, they took my money, never sent a product and customer service ignores you. Details: I recently got a rescue dog and thought this product looked good for helping locate him should he escape. I ordered a tag and the company created a shipping label so they could bill me. A week later I tracked it but it had not shipped yet so I emailed their customer support to either ship the order or cancel and refund. Turns out it never shipped... They claimed a glitch in their system allowed them to sell inventory they didnt have but they would ship my item soon. I again requested the order be canceled and my money refunded. No answer. 7 days later I received an email stating that my package had been lost in shipping. Um, hold on... I thought they didnt have inventory? Whatever. Again I asked for a refund and again, received no response. It is almost 4 weeks since they took my money and I still have no item, it has not shipped and they have not refunded my money. I am now dealing with PayPal to assist with the refund since the company refuses to acknowledge my request.
I ordered a tag almost a month ago, they charged my card immediately, I received an email confirming the ordered stating I would be advised when it shipped, but it still shows shipping pending. They provided a UPS shipping tracking number but it says it's invalid. There's no phone number to contact them. I've sent them several emails with no response.
(1) a great idea, only the tags don't hold together in rough play; the scan code falls off and (2) the app doesn't work right, loses the login information -- the very last thing you want to happen when you've just lost your pet is to be required to create a new account!
I ordered a personalized version with my dogs name and ny phone number printed on it. It said it would take 2-5 days. I waited a week and nothing came. I emailed the company and they said "oh it takes 4-6 weeks for the personalized ones, it said it on the site". Well, I went to check because I had never seen that, and they had deleted the product entirely! I'm now at week 7, I have heard back from them 3 times via email (takes DAYS for a reply) and every time it's placating "oh we will prioritize your order and let you know" or the last one "oh maybe it got lost in shipping" even though it never showed as having even been made. I have suggested they just refund me and they continue to give me the runaround. I went out on a limb to support the small company despite my husband wanting to go with a bigger namebrand and now do I look the fool! Horrible customer service experience. Lots of lying and avoiding the issue.
Only had it for a week dog was able to remove it. Not worth getting, she's not even around other dogs so I don't understand how she was able to remove it
Received my 2 Bytetags and went to the app to set up an account. The password input doesn't allow you to check what you've typed in for your password. As a result, if you hit a wrong key you don't know it and your password is good for nothing. Most sites give you a way to reset it. They don't. There is NO PHONE NUMBER associated with this company. NONE. ZIP. NADA I discovered their BBB rating is F and they are a scam, never respond to emails. DON'T PURCHASE FROM HERE!
I originally ordered a tag for my dog on 9/28, and I still haven't received it or gotten any confirmation that it's been even created or shipped. The customer support response is just a canned email that says it takes 3-4 weeks to ship. I ended up filing a dispute charge with my credit card company

My order never arrived. I contacted the company and requested refund or replacement. Still no product or refund so I requested a refund again. Nothing. Had to dispute charge with my credit card company to get a refund. Ovoid these folks like the plague.
I had trouble with the Bytetag from the start. It indicated that the tag I was trying to use was already in use. I purchased the product new. I have left numerous e-mails for help with no response. Their customer service is non-existent. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUICT!
I ordered what I thought were 2 for 1 but that is only if you add 2 to the cart at checkout. They have no return policy! What kind of business doesn't have a return policy?!?! Tags are really small, even the large. Crappola business.
Initially I was really happy with the purchase. It looked great on my dogs collar, was easy to scan, and had all my information on the page. Two months later the tag cracked and then shattered! It did not even last one summer. It's very unfortunate but I hope that Bytetag can strengthen their material to prevent this in the future.
I bought 2 tags in June from ByteTags official website. Both wore down and you cannot even read the QR code after a month. There is no reason for it to wear like like and it said that it wouldn't. I reached out multiple times and they refused to ever respond. My dogs are not that active…
Answer: No reply to 5 emails so far- no number to get to a human and no confirmation email for purchases and no way to track my order

Answer: They aren't tracker tags. They allow whoever finds them to get your info and ping you to the location.
