DO NOT BUY THIS SOFTARE! THIS COMPANY SCAMS THE LIFETIME LICENSES AND WILL NOT HONOR REINSTALLS ON NEW MACHINES IF OLD ONE GOES DEAD, LOSES A HD, OR BECOMES OBSOLETE.

Absolutely bad policy. I bought a lifetime license for all products and it worked - until I upgraded my computer - now it doesn't.

The license removal tool they offered 13 years ago is not available anymore and customer service is not willing to help although I'm in accordance to the current license agreement.

I already tried their customer service for some time to help, but it sounds like standard phrases that do not help me, but only them if I buy another license. But honestly I rather shop elsewhere.

First the good. The AVS4YOU software suite has some great features and pretty good quality for the price. One feature that I find very helpful is it's integration with Windows Explorer - you can right click on a file and AVS options are added into the list of selections (for example you can easily select "convert to..."
Now for the bad. The very frustrating part of this software that I have just discovered is that when you buy an unlimited subscription, it is in fact limited - limited to one specific computer. My computer died and when I tried to install the software on my new computer, I discovered that they only allow it to be installed on one device and have no option, as many other software companies do, of clearing the license so that it can be installed on a new computer. So it has to be purchased again (though they do offer a $20 discount).

I purchased their "Unlimited" back in 2009. I have the original policy for it. Since then it has been changed to say, if you get a new PC you need to purchase a new key at a discount. Brutal. Dealing with their support team is also very brutal. Their support site is archaic and so is the staff apparently. There is better Free software out there. Don't waste your money here.

I've use this service since they first came out, so I'm very familiar with the product. I got the newest, updated software and it's terrible. Constantly crashes. I will be uninstalling the new software and reinstalling the old. Very disappointed.

I give this software 3 stars due to its old licensing model. Most software today will let you transfer a license from one computer to another. I have moved it in the past and even been able to contact support when I purchase a new PC. But there policy now apparently strictly prohibits this. If their going to require an internet connection to activate seems like they could provide an activate and deactivate way of using this product. Won't be purchasing again. Time to look for other more modern products. DVDFab and Cyberlink come to mind now.

I purchased and "Unlimited" license for this software. Since then, their license has changed and now expires the moment you have to replace your computer or motherboard. They will not allow you to transfer your license to your new computer. They do offer you a "discount" to buy another license but, in my case, their discounted price was greater than what I paid for the original "unlimited" license. I refused. I have switched to the Movavi Video Suite which I am quite happy with. Movavi license includes the ability to move your license to a new computer up to 6 times.

Many years ago I bought the lifetime subscription in order to use their video editor. It worked pretty well, wasn't hard to use and fulfilled most of my needs. Over the years, I have tried these:@*******@document *******@media player@ audio editor

All have been easy to learn and provided adequate if not great results. For non-professionals i highly recommend AVS4you.

Every few years, my computer dies and their customer service provides quick and timely service to get me up and ready again. For the price, you will seldom find a better deal. Thank you AVS4you

I have been an AVS customer for many years and upgraded to an unlimited license for their products a few years ago. Last month I built a new computer (the old one was 6 or 7 years ago) and moved all my software license keys (Adobe, Microsoft, SnagIt, Nuance, etc.) to my new machine.

But the AVS license could not be deactivated and reactivated on the new machine. They told me it was *permanently* bound to the original machine that it was installed on. Tough luck if your motherboard dies (I had one like that) or if you upgrade to a new computer. You have to buy their unlimited license again every time you upgrade.

The policy disgusts me, a loyal customer who bought their top-of-the-line product license. Thus, I'm posting my experiences here. Maybe someone else can learn from my pain.

Buyer beware! There are a ton of complaints like this on the web and on the AVS4YOU site in the forum section. I, too, am having this issue. I paid for an "unlimited" license. Just didn't know AVS4YOU's definition of unlimited. I think they define it as MONEY4THEM.

Uploading LICIENCE COPY suddenly enrolled SRAM VIROUS in loded files. Attrect client gives various alternate project but on enable the related subject loded other products software disabled and hang up the unit.
1.On io video software all loded jpg., png., MPEG. Pdf. Loded complete file damaged and blocked. Require to reboot the unit and incurred no cause overheads.
2.on uploading audio software my voice system playback and input both were blocked.
3. On demand for REFUND of license fee ignore to comply.
Such misguided, unprofessional, unethical media should warn for such Negligence.

I purchased and Unlimited AVS4YOU license years ago...why...because I don't use this program very often. A couple of times along the way I upgraded computers and the license would update. Not so this time around. When I dug into it, I can see the new license agreement does not allow switching computers...Sweet. If AVS4YOU is going to have this policy...fine...it is your business...run it the way you want... At least have the decency to explain clearly what you mean by and Unlimited License in your marketing/sales literature. You could also have the decency to "grandfather" those systems you sold under the original unlimited agreement. It would not be that difficult.

As an engineer who travels, I once purchased an unlimited car rental upgrade plan...several years later they changed the agreement rendering my unlimited car rental upgrade plan useless. Fine...here's how I handled that one...it's been over 20 years since I have rented a car from that company and will walk or Uber before I ever rent a car from them again...I can assure AVS4YOU will never see another piece of my business again and I suggest if you choose to do business with this company, understand they market with "forked-tongue". Unlimited means only for your current computer...something goes wrong with your computer, you need to repurchase a license for your replaced motherboard or computer...they strategically do not explain this on the page where you have the choice between an Annual License or Unlimited License. Stay away from this company's product...it may function fine, but do understand what you are paying for.

I love this software does everything for me! From photo edits to correcting my messed up attempts at making scenery and family picture videos, The video editor, takes the motion frames and stabilizes them, correcting the blur problems. Don't use anything else!

This company is fraudulent.
They tempted me with an offer of $59 for lifetime licence to their suite of video editing software.
They then went ahead and debited my account twice, claiming I had ordered twice. Why would I want 2 licences? In any case, they only sent one access code.
I contacted them to unravel what I assumed was a mistake. However, they refused to co-operate, and instead hid behind a fly-by-night intermediary (Avangate BV), who repeatedly divested themselves of responsibility by referring me back to AVS4you.

They have not only stolen my money, but now wasted copious amounts of my time.

I use AVS4YOU to put together highlight videos of events I perform at. It looks like it has everything you need but the most simple functions are complicated multi step processes. For example - I have dozens of 3-5 second clips that I put into one "movie" where I would like to mute the audio and overlay my own track. The is extremely difficult. You have mute each clip *one by one* because there is no way to "select all" and mute things all at once. Also there is no simple way to add an opening "credit" slide with your text, the same is true for a closing credit slide. This again in a multi step process. The average at home user will find this difficult and cumbersome to use.

Years ago I purchased a lifetime license but are now being told lifetime is the lifetime of the computer. So beware they do not stand behind what they sell.

In case you change some components of your computer (hard drive, motherboard, OS, etc.) you can use your license key to activate AVS programs anew.

In case you change computer and install the software on another one you will have to purchase an additional license.

After buying an "unlimited" license, they broke the CD Creator app with an update. I've spent a month dealing with a slow, ineffectual support team that never fixed the problem. The software uses an insane amount of memory on a Windows 10 machine, and they have no idea how to fix it. Never, ever deal with this company!

Several years back, I purchased a PERPETUAL LICENSE, Those NEVER expire. When my PC broke and I had to replace it, they gave me a new License for ONE computer. Over the years, I have had to replace a few computers. But now with this last replacement, they are trying to change their rules of my Perpetual License by saying "You have violated your License by adding it to another computer" WHICH I AM NOT.
I have written them several times explaining this is a REPLACEMENT BUT all I get is the boiler plate ""You have violated your License by adding it to another computer, BUY ANOTHER LICENSE". I noticed they no longer offer "Perpetual Licenses" so it appears this is their way to "get rid of their old "perpetual licenses". Besides, their support is very bad. They do not "answer your questions". They send the same "boiler plate " answers over and over until you give up. BUY ANOTHER SOFTWARE.
