The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by persistent customer service issues and delivery failures. Customers frequently report delays in shipping, incorrect items being sent, and a frustrating return process that often leads to dissatisfaction. Many express frustration over the lack of accessible support, relying solely on chatbots for assistance, which often fails to resolve their concerns. While some customers appreciate the product quality, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a declining trust in the company, as unresolved complaints and inadequate communication dominate the feedback. This suggests a critical need for improvement in customer service and clearer return policies.

We assumed we were buying from a Canadian site. We were surprised to be charged a sales tax of $21 by Canada Post. We're disappointed by ASOS's lack of transparency that their merchandise is being shipped from the U.S., resulting in customers paying unexpected customs' fees. Be careful!
Ordered gift, received completely wrong item. Embarrassing but recipient had to return day received. ASOS received return 4/23/21 and multiple requests via ASOS chats 30 minutes at a time and 5/12/21 status " still processing " will update you when done
I ordered some products at the end I got surprise in post office Asos demanded to pay extra $130 in office. It was not informed before and it was surprise! Totally dissatisfied!
Don't order from them, carrier fee and customs fee that no one tell you about, worst experience ever
I don't get why people are not suttisfied! Asos is the ONLY online shopping site i trust!
I have been buying stuff for the last 10 years!
Every single Item came as expected and way earlier than the estimated delivery date.
Ordered dress for my daughter was guaranteed arrival on time for her graduation then they delayed shipment 30 days. Can't use dress as graduation over. No phone number and horrible chat conversation with I don't know who. Do yourself a favor and order elsewhere. I don't trust any company that doesn't offer a live human to speak to over phone. Bummed
My daughter ordered for 129$ Total from ASOS with « free » delivery to Canada. I just had to pay 50,30$ at post office COD. Total was under the limit of 150$, eliminating the customs fee theory. I found a possible link indicating an addition of 5% federal sales tax for Canada, plus a 10,75$ Canadien post admin fees. So how could that amount to 50,30$? I can't stand those types of « surprises », so sorry ASOS, we won't be ordering again anytime soon.
I had ordered a pair of shoes and received a candle. They wouldn't send me the correct shoes and instead made me send back the candle, wait ten days for a refund, and reorder the shoes. I reordered the shoes and receive a candle for a second time. Again, they still won't send me my shoes and are making me send back the candle and wait again for a refund. So basically I have placed two order with this company, not received the item I ordered, nor have I got any refund.
Buying online went south with this company, it said no delivery fees during the buy but when delivered, surprise I was obliged to pay a 15$ fee at the delivery point because I live in Canada, I was never warn about that. Oh and guess what, the shoes I ordered were way too small for the said size so I had to return it, for that I had to pay an extra 22 bucks fee to sent it back! So nice of them I've lost 35 bucks dealing with this company, never will again.
Edit: At the time I wrote this rewiew, I had not received my refund yet, it said you can only get a refund 30 days after the day you send back the package. I don't know why I waited so long, but after nearly 45 days, no credit was on my account yet. I had to contact the customer service, the guy on the chat said he would "fill a demand of refund" at Nike, wich proves they intentionally delay your refund as long as possible, in fact chances are that they won't refund you if you don't contact them. Unbelievable... So it took nearly 2 months to get my refund. What a disaster fraudulent company this is. Disgusting.
Very poor customer service. After receiving the wrong item, which i orginally ordered on April 20th, I contacted asos to fix it. They only have contact through web chat, there is no phone number to call. They told me I would need to ship the incorrect item back (their website requires you to pay for the shipping as well to return the item, but they ended up agreeing to pay for the item to be shipped back), but even then i would need to reorder the item i should already have and pay for it again. They told me they would refund me the shipping and insisted the item was still in stock. I requested this to be escalated, as this is very poor customer service, that i would need to reorder the item when I did nothing wrong. When i reordered the item and paid for the item again, two days after i ordered the item I received an email stating the item was out of stock. I still have not received any contact from asos with any gesture to fix their own error, even after explaining to their online chat the sittuation and requesting it to be escalated on Monday. The item i ordered was part of a set, so i'm very upset that they didn't make any attempts to ensure i got the item that i orignally ordered in april. They could have at least, at the minimum, put the item aside when they saw it was still in stock, so when I ordered it again I actually would receive the item. The customer should not have to go out of their way to fix the companies mistakes.
1. I made my first order and forgot to use the first time user discount code. I contacted customer service and they said it was too late and I could not add it to my order even though it was 5 minutes after placing it.
2. ASOS sent me an email saying my order had arrived. It hadn't. They said the expected date of delivery was April 22. It arrived on May 5.
3. I was not informed of any delivery charges until I received an email from the post office saying I would have to pay cash on delivery. ASOS promised me free delivery because my order was over $75. I had to pay $15.50 at the post office.
4. I searched the ASOS website to find out more about these charges. I finally found a faq that mentioned Canadian customers are entitled to a 15% discount to cover customs charges. This was not mentioned when I placed my order even though it was obvious I had a Canadian address.
5. I contacted customer service today via the chat function on the ASOS app and was transferred between 4 different people in the middle of my conversation. Finally, when I chatted with Rizamarie she only made excuses and was not able to help me at all. The company took no responsibility for their poor communication or making it hard for customers to find discount codes.
Needless to say I will not be shopping here again and will advise others to avoid this company.

I placed two orders with ASOS back to back because I loved the clothing selection they were showing online and just needed everything! However, since I placed two separate orders, I had to pay surprise customs charges on both packages (approx $15 each). NONE of the clothes were good. They were poor quality and did not look like the website pictures at all! So, I wanted to return the $180 worth of clothing that I ordered. However, since I ordered the clothing in two separate orders, I have to go through the process of returning two separate orders. Since their returns process is directly linked to Canada Post, I have to pay $22.40 two times in order to return the clothes, even though I planned on returning all the clothes in 1 package (customer service and website details allow this). After an unsuccessful hour with customer service, I still have to pay for two return labels even if I only mail one package. That means I will have paid $75 to end up with nothing! AVOID ASOS AT ALL COSTS because they did absolutely nothing to try and help me or remedy the situation.
Their return policies are terrible. 28 days before you get a refund? Really? Using our money so that you can make more money. That is completely unethical and this company should be investigated. I've already sent in a complaint to the United States governments consumer Financial protection bureau.
This is a terrible business. They will short you on refunds and then try to blame it on everything under the sun as to why they did not give you back the same amount you paid. I do not mean shipping either. I understand that you do not receive shipping fees back on purchases. I mean sales tax! There is absolutely NO REASON I should be paying sales tax on items that I am returning. As soon as I noticed I called them out on it. They try to blame customs and say they took the money and treat you like you are stupid and don't know the items were shipped and were returned IN THE USA (in my particular case) and did not even go through customs. All of these small amounts add up over time and they think it is ok to get away with. DO NOT EVEN BOTHER WASTING YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY!
I bought this item for my boyfriend I know his size but this jeans didn't fit him at all. They were not true to size. I got them they were extremely tight in the crotch and butt to the point where he couldn't sit down. It isn't stretching, the pockets are under the butt. The material is another story. About delivery it supposed to come Apr. 23 it came Apr. 27. My friend ordered later than me and she got her stuff earlier and in the bad quality. For her items Canada Post asked her to pay $18 for delivery and that thing is she paid for delivery when she bought the stuff. For what? That she ordered to her address and she should go to Canada Post to pick it up. So they are delivering wherever they want to and not where we indicated because I got it to my house.
I decided to return my item. In normal internet shops, return are free. Here, not only thing didn't go in time but you also have to pay for the return.
Better safe your money for something else.
So disappointed!
Canadian customers, you have to pay fees upon delivery even on articles below 150$. They do give an extra discount of 15% to canadian shoppers but it isn't advertized when you are paying. I only learned about it when I had to pay 15$ of COD on a purchase of 85$ and they wouldn't give me a retroactive discount or the equivalent after. And returning is another 22$. International shoppers be wary.
Horrible/no actual customer service. Paid for expedited shipping (2 days), but didn't receive item for a week. Was scolded by their online customer service and then accused of lying and told I was dumb. Will not shop here again. They treat you like you're less than human and offer no assistance. Greedy and money hungry. They don't care about the customer, they care about making a buck. No business from me any longer. They don't tell you that you must have a printer to return items.
I have used ASOS for the past 5 years and have spent ALOT of money with them. Their customer service has always been amazing but now it has changed and is SHOCKING.
Never in my life have I received such bad customer service. I work away alot in the week annd unable to get to the post office with returns, I have gone over the returns policy by a few days and they are now sayign they are unable to refund me 100's of pounds? HOW RIDICULOUS! I am now left with loads of brand new clothes that I cannot do anything with and also out of pocket.
I can only imagine that ASOS has now got very very greedy but it will only back fire on them as I am sure alot of people will not use them anymore.
Do not waste your time and money, shop else where. The quality of their clothing is awful and so is their customer service. Also their next day delivery that you pay upfront each year isn't actually next day anymore.
Imagine ordering 2 items 1 of which never came and the other completely incorrect from what I orderd asos has no provided an apology they're radically dismissive and take long to get back to customers so I've paid money got sent nothing and wrong items had to waste my time sending it back, asos refuse to deal with me sooner as I deleted my account for their negligence and I still have to wait approximately 24 days for any type of refund 14 days for them to check and process returned items and another 10 days to receive a refund after the fact, what a trash company. I have posted the incorrect item I had to return and I have posted the proof of refund on the other order I purchased that never came and I STILL have not received a refund for to this day.
Answer: Hello Em, Yes it is true. The site has very poor delivery and customer service. I do not recommend it.
Answer: Doubt it, I don't think they sell any knock off's. Depending on the print you got, some of them don't have stripes. Hope that helps.
Answer: No. They will find 101 reasons to screw you out of your money
Answer: No. If anything it has gottten worse.
Answer: Look, as I wrote here I shopped with them many times and I was never disappointed. I don't know where you buy from, but I live in Italy and it doesn't take more than 4-5 working days for them to deliver the package. If you're concerned about the quality, well, it's not really top-notch, but considering the price it's really good (you can't expect Max Mara quality from a shirt you paid 20 euros). As for the fit be careful because those are UK sizes and they are definitely NOT vanity sizing! Meaning: when you read "model pictured wears UK 8" you may think "they're lying, she's clearly a 6" but they're actually not in most cases. I have a body similar to that of most of their models, I ordered size 6 twice and it was a tiny bit small. So size accordingly. All in all I trust them and I like their product. Perfect low-cost site to shop from online.
Answer: Complain about Asos through the Retail Ombudsman, if more people complain about companies like Asos they will have no choice but to improve their service to their customers.
Answer: Your only option with asos is live chat. I used it just now and also a few days ago and it worked just fine. They solved all my issues. Chat is the only way to contact.
Answer: You have to be a careful shopper. Check the fabric content! I just purchased Is 4 pairs of cargo pants. Same style, different colors. They are 100% cotton and excellent quality. I also purchased things by topshop and free people on this site. Asos has its own brand but sells others. Returns are effortless so I don't know why so many people are complaining. I have very high standards and they haven't let me down yet.
