ASOS is a UK-based online fashion retailer founded in 2000, originally as As Seen On Screen. Headquartered in an iconic art deco building in Camden, London, it offers a wide range of clothing, accessories, and beauty products, targeting young adults globally. ASOS has a strong presence in the online retail market and emphasizes sustainability through initiatives like the ASOS Responsible Edit.
The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by persistent customer service issues and delivery failures. Customers frequently report delays in shipping, incorrect items being sent, and a frustrating return process that often leads to dissatisfaction. Many express frustration over the lack of accessible support, relying solely on chatbots for assistance, which often fails to resolve their concerns. While some customers appreciate the product quality, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a declining trust in the company, as unresolved complaints and inadequate communication dominate the feedback. This suggests a critical need for improvement in customer service and clearer return policies.

I have to give them all info regarding why I need to be refunded after ASOS received my returned. I never got my refund.
I recently placed my first order with ASOS. I was really excited because they had cute AND affordable clothes. When my package arrived, one of the dresses I ordered was not included and instead I got this hideoderous shirt. I attempted to contact customer service to let them know what happened and first of all, their chat (the only option) is extremely annoying. Second of all, I tried twice to tell the person I was chatting with that they messed up the order and I wanted the correct thing sent to me without me having to do anything since it wasn't my mistake and didn't feel like I should be punished for it, and both times I was told I HAD to return the shirt they sent me by mistake before they could do anything else. I work 60 hours a week and it was a huge inconvenience to make a trip to UPS. No one I spoke to seemed to care. After about a month, I finally had the free time to return it. Lo and behold, I get a message from them that they can't just refund the money because I returned it after 28 days so I only get store credit. Now I'm forced to shop with them again or lose my $30. They really need a phone number and I could not be more displeased.
Sent to my order to a 6 year old address, I called FedEx to update FedEx said they had to be contacted by the shipper I messaged ASOS and was told to go to my old address and wait for the package! Smh are you kidding me! They do not care if you get your order once it has been paid for and shipped. It's crazy and the year 2021 they can't pick up the phone all their shipping provider and correct and address. They said it's a "policy they don't do anything after an item has been shipped". Totally useless! I would give a Zero if I could. Never buying anything from there again. They just lost a long time customer.
I placed an order 3 weeks ago with ASOS. Yesterday, I got an email saying my order was cancelled without any further explanation. I contacted the customer service via chat and was told I needed to reorder. Absolutely no effort was made by ASOS to rectify the situation and it is still very unclear why my order was cancelled in the first play. I never requested a cancellation. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated by the complete lack of assistance I received from the customer representatives. Now some of the clothes I had ordered are out of stock and I still haven't received my money back.
This is by far my worst e-commerce experience I've ever had. I decided to try Asos as they bought Topman recently and I loved their brand and t-shirts.
I ended up waiting 14 days for the shipping, they charged me an extra $15 handling fees (On a $59 order) on top of it even if it said "Free Shipping" when you order and I'm not even talking about the poor the quality of the item that was horrific.
I contacted their support and I've never been treated like that from a brand before. They literally don't give a s**t about their customers and blame it on the customs. They even closed the live chat in my face when I insisted to speak with a manager (!).
And when you have to return your defective items, you have to pay CAD 22.40 YOURSELF, email them your receipt and pray they don't f**kk you over again and refund it to you.
Keep far from this company, there are plenty of other great e-commerce that actually give a s**t about their clients.
I tried many times to reach them to solve the issue with my refund and I didn't receive a answer for them!
I left multiple reviews and they were constantly rejected by the company.

And this was my review:
"The strap popped off at the wedding I was in. It was sewn crooked and laid funny. And there was a stain on the front that would not come off so I had to use a marker to color it."
I bought my wedding dress on ASOS and I don't regret. It looks gorgeous on me and needs just a little shaping. Quality is not perfect but I'll wear it only once so it's ok. I saved a lot of money by doing this.
THEY WILL NOT SHIP YOUR ITEM. THEY CANT EVEN CALL THEIR CARRIERS TO CHECK. UNINSTALL THIS APP IF YOU CAN!
Less than 1 star! CharlotteJoy was the person i dealt with. Did nothing to help, was very pathetic. No empathy for customers. I am being taxed twice, and she did nothing to help. Maybe at least offer a code? Customer service sucks!
If you like to spend your time trying to understand where your order is, why it was not delivered, and periodically spend and wait for the money to be returned to your card, since you never received any normal support or parcels - ASOS is the best platform for this.
I ordered a pair of tan heeled ankle boots from this site. I waited 2 days longer than what the site said the package should be delivered only to receive a pair of white flats. Although the sticker on the package says tan heeled ankle boots. Either someone really wasn't paying attention or the site did not want to reach out to inform me they were out of stock. The boots are no longer on the website. This is my first and last attempt ordering from them.
They cancelled my order because of problem with payment and they said that it was problem with my Bank.
I called my Bank and they told me that ASOS send my money bank.
Asos cancelled my order, because I ordered e. G thing from Calvin Klein with 91% discount.
Of course, I could order again, but without this thing and some other.
It's cheating, I wasted a lot of time to find all of these things.
NOT RECOMMENDED
Horrible customer service! They won't respond to emails if something goes wrong and they will most likely NOT give you your money back.
I don't recommend taking the risky of shopping here tbh.
Ordered a Hugo Boss shirt and was sent a jacket from their own ASOS label. Colour was the same but it was my impression, from a lack of a receipt sent with the package, they were aware this was not what I ordered and were hoping I'd be satisfied with the substituted item sent. I'm not. I then spent 15 minutes on their customer service chat and was told I'm responsible for the cost of returning the garment but they'd refund that cost once the refund was processed. I'm going to assume the refunding of the 27 dollars it's costing me to return their error is going to become an issue as well. When I enquired if the item I had ordered was still available it of course was not. To the gentlemen who handled my enquiry for returns, thanks, you were extremely polite and professional and I'm sorry you work for this company.
Placed an order on the 2nd August, items were due to arrive by the 20th August. Received an email on the 19th August stating the items were out of stock and I would be receiving a full refund. It took the company a day before the items were due to arrive to notify me of this? Plus I now have a very unhappy daughter, being let down by the whole situation. Definitely take our custom elsewhere!
I two lots of parcels and I had to return bits from both packages, when I went on the FAQ it said you could do combined returns so I did. I got my email to say they'd received some of the stuff but not the other. After 25 minutes on live chat with the consultant just referring me to the online FAQs which I was aware had changes since I had read it, but the parcel has already gone? I got told someone would be in touch in 48 hours, and yet still not heard anything back. It's alright changing stuff on the website, but at least send an email or make people aware? You can't just rely on them checking the FAQ all the time.
I ordered 5 total bridesmaids dresses to try on for a wedding in June which was located outside of the country. I loved 1, and planned to send back the other 4 when I returned home as I would've had a whole week to do so by then. Unfortunately I had a positive covid test flying back and was delayed coming home for 2 weeks. I spoke to ASOS customer service & explained my issues & would be happy to just have a store credit and pay for my own return expenses because I understood I was out of the returning time limit. Stephanie claimed that neither of those options could happen and even if i did send the items back via my own return expenses, she couldn't promise me that they would give me a store credit for them which is very unfortunate. Lulu's was another company I ordered from & they were excellent at helping me. Returned my orders for free as well as a full refund to my card. I really used to enjoy shopping at ASOS but now that I've realized the lack of common decency. Especially during these times, I don't believe they are in their customers best interest considering I am now down over $400 for bridesmaids that I will never wear. This wedding was financially hard on me as well so this is very disappointing.
Returned the pair of sneakers immediately upon receiving ( tried and they don't fit)
I have done literally every step of the return process on their website, printed the label that thy generated and now they are saying ( over chat with some random names) that they don't have enough PROOFS that i have sent it. They have chosen the courier and the tracking number shows clearly that the item has been picked up from my home. They are now Lying that they have no way of contacting the courier ( that they have imposed on me) and that I should do it) Terrible waste of time and money
Worst shopping experience ever, they have been hacked and will do nothing about it.
I placed an order with three items and checked out through PayPal. At the time of checkout, all info was correct. I did not review the email but tracked the package and on the 13th it was marked as "delivered"
I contacted ASOS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and they told is not their fault I entered the wrong address, nothing they could do
1. I entered the right address they have a hacked API that changed the address to something else
2. The WRONG address was not a typo (I can see how that can happen) it was a whole different address in the same city. With an apartment number and all. I don't live in an apartment I can accidentally type APT 1 nor I this address as a saved address to auto-fill
3. I droved out to the place and the apartment complex is fenced I could not get in but the unit was empty, had a rental sign on it. It also had a bunch of packages at the door from all different online stores, there was an ASOS package too, could have been mine
Someone is running a pretty good scam out of that location and ASOS won't hear about it
4. ASOS insists it was my mistake despite me clearly explaining I didn't type the wrong address
I am $100 out of pocket, no clothes, and no help from ASOS. Someone has hacked their APIs and they refuse to even look at the issue. Shameful, will never buy from this site again. DOUBLE check the shipping info AFTER you place the order, learn from my mistake it can be changed and no one will help you
Answer: Hello Em, Yes it is true. The site has very poor delivery and customer service. I do not recommend it.
Answer: Doubt it, I don't think they sell any knock off's. Depending on the print you got, some of them don't have stripes. Hope that helps.
Answer: No. They will find 101 reasons to screw you out of your money
Answer: No. If anything it has gottten worse.
Answer: Look, as I wrote here I shopped with them many times and I was never disappointed. I don't know where you buy from, but I live in Italy and it doesn't take more than 4-5 working days for them to deliver the package. If you're concerned about the quality, well, it's not really top-notch, but considering the price it's really good (you can't expect Max Mara quality from a shirt you paid 20 euros). As for the fit be careful because those are UK sizes and they are definitely NOT vanity sizing! Meaning: when you read "model pictured wears UK 8" you may think "they're lying, she's clearly a 6" but they're actually not in most cases. I have a body similar to that of most of their models, I ordered size 6 twice and it was a tiny bit small. So size accordingly. All in all I trust them and I like their product. Perfect low-cost site to shop from online.
Answer: Complain about Asos through the Retail Ombudsman, if more people complain about companies like Asos they will have no choice but to improve their service to their customers.
Answer: Your only option with asos is live chat. I used it just now and also a few days ago and it worked just fine. They solved all my issues. Chat is the only way to contact.
Answer: You have to be a careful shopper. Check the fabric content! I just purchased Is 4 pairs of cargo pants. Same style, different colors. They are 100% cotton and excellent quality. I also purchased things by topshop and free people on this site. Asos has its own brand but sells others. Returns are effortless so I don't know why so many people are complaining. I have very high standards and they haven't let me down yet.
