Only one out of their mind would purchase anything from this company APMEX. Their Supervisor John Nguyen is extremely rude, his associates have zero customer service skills, hang up on you and make you wait longer and longer when they recognize your number. I have reported them to the FTC. I also have not received the silver that I purchased from them. John, with the chip on his shoulder, will not let you speak, will keep demeaning you by speaking over your voice. Complaints have zero tolerance from this company, they won't hear them. Bought a kilo of silver and it is nowhere in sight, no tracking, nothing. I told them I would prefer they request a call back on the package and they resend it via UPS OR refund me but this rude person said No. Is this the customer service we have in the USA? Is this acceptable to most people? I recommend purchasing from the US Gold Bureau or any other mint than from this third class seller. ZERO Stars.
I needed to sell a coin fast, searched local dealers as I am new to this area and they came up. When I called they were helpful and gave me a price, which was below what the market sale would be for this type of coin, but out of desperation I agreed. They send you a UPS label for one or two day, I opted for one day. Well from the time I dropped in the UPS, I have had to track it. This was a Wednesday, it is now one week later, Wednesday and they have not paid on it yet. If I had known that it would take this long, I could have actually found a local dealer, in fact I have now but it is too late. I am at the mercy of the accounting department who says they will send it at 5PM. What good does that do, I have to wait another day. Beware anytime you invest in gold and silver or sell long distance. This is not my first rodeo but it has been the worst experience.

I ordered 11 1964 mint sets. I received 10 1964 mint sets and one 1968 mint set. Apmex did send me instructions as to how I could return the 1968 mint set and receive the 1964 mint set as ordered. The procedure I had to follow involved multiple steps including specific return instructions and returning it in person to the post office. I was told to monitor the return process daily. Their instructions would have required several hours of work on my part. I found this not to be worth my time and so Apmex did not fix their mistake.
This is my 1st order with APMEX and was a bit skeptical + concerned at first so I paid via Paypal in case something went wrong. It took 8 days from the time I placed an order to receiving it. It was packed safely HOWEVER< please note that they ship via USPS First Class Mail so buy cautiously, unless you pay more for shipping service (but I can't review on other shipping option). I read similar reviews about 1st class mail so I made sure that I picked up the package right after USPS delivery person dropped it off in my mailbox. Their price is slightly higher than other competitors so shop around and compare.

They sent my silver coins quickly which is rare when others are taking weeks to deliver in light of the silver shortages I've been reading about. A little pricey but I'm pleased with the nice stack I've put together.
Have bought quite a lot from this seller! In fact, it was my very first purchase out of US mint that sucks me to become obsessed with buying bullions!
The prices are higher than any dealers but web site is very good!
They claim to buy the products they sell. Don't you believe it. If the price goes higher than what they sold at, they don't want to buy it back. I will never buy from them again.
I was discriminated by AMPEX based on the fact that my wife is from Russia. My order was cancelled, my account was blocked. I am a United States citizen, I am living in the USA, I am working in the USA, I am paying taxes in the USA, I want this country to be the best country in the world. And yet, my account was blocked and the order was cancelled. APMEX did not even refund me swiftly and said they were going to hold my money for up to 60 days.
They SOUND friendly, but are very unprofessional and provvide zero customer service. They held my check for 8 days, telling me it didn't arrive, then would not ship my order until 11 days after my check had CLEARED my bank. They would take no responsibility whatsoever for their screw-up, leaving me with no way to secure my order before I left the country for several months.
There's lots of places to buy precious metals - give these guys a miss!

I purchased a gold chain and 2 bezels from this company. One of the bezels was broken on receipt. Because I did not notice within 7 days, the company refused to refund or exchange the piece.
On top of that, when I first emailed support, they did not respond at all. I finally called, and the support person said that they didn't exchange, but she would look into it and contact me back. She never did. It was just a brush off.
My feeling is that it is close to FRAUD to send a broken piece and refuse to exchange it unless it is noticed within 7 days.
Have had a case where my order was delayed as one item (listed " in stock") could not be completed as item was not available. No attempt to contact me to resolve the matter. When I queried about problem with the order they confessed the item was not available. They wasted my time so I canceled the order.
It used to be a good company but my recent experience with them made it clear who they are. I have been a customer for more that 15 years but Im treated so poorly It made me realized waht they are about. My banks wire transfer page is not working and Im unable to submit paymnet. They heep harraming telling me that they will cancell my order and that there will be penalities. I keep requesteing to give me an addtinal two day to resolve this but they are refusing! How nasty!
I am a former customer of Apmex. They used to be a good company. I bought a bunch of gold in the 2014-2016 time frame from them. Most recently, i bought all of my gold from elsewhere as Apmex had the highest premiums of everyone online. I had no intention of leaving a negative review until I recieved an offer via snail mail for $50 off. Now, i am inclined to alert anyone and everyone of these scam artists. It's one thing to charge 2x-3x the premium of everyone else in the industry. It's another to send a "coupon" by snail mail. THAT is disingenuous! THAT is wrong. PERIOD!
I RECEIVED TARNISHED AND SCUFFED SILVER AND APMEX WANTS ME TO PAY TO EXCHANGE.
This is a very sad bad business and WILL NOT GIVE THEM MY BUSINESS AGAIN plus a lot more. A complaint was filed.

Had a good experience for awhile until recently. Extremely disappointed by customer service, Tiffany from verification department had abysmal customer service skills. Her approach was laughable. After several emails, APMEX had no useful response, did not attempt to keep its customer. Time to move on. Adieu!
I will not buy from them ever again! One time I bought an item from them and they did a lousy job of shipping it to me. The item got damaged in the process of them sending to me.
I regularly order from Apmex and love the wide selection of products available to me and my customers. I usually order silver bullion coins from around the world
All product have been perfect for me. Premium a bit high for me but I use Apmex when I absolutely must have a perfect product for example, American Silver Eagles. My go to for these.
