Rude and unhelpful - Save yourself the trouble
Rude and unhelpful. They kept asking for more and more documents (always waiting at least 2 days before responding, losing me 2 weeks). In the end, without any reason, they just posted a standard copy-paste message and deleted my account.
Another provider had no such problems and i was trading in less than a week.

This company took several week to approve my documents and approve starting account. Once I did, I accepted a payment from a customer. However, they put my account on review post payment was waiting for payout... then they took WEEKS and WEEKS... I WROTE EMAIL AFTER EMAIL... Not a single person replied or solved problem. Which company on earth don't have humans to reply for emails or customers requests? Very bad coz they will hold your money and no one would response. DONT USE THIS. They finally blocked my account without any justification. This is not just for me... read other reviews on many websites too.

Today is 25th Thursday, I have sent an email on Last Thursday 18th May 2023 and still hasnot got any reply yet. Has already sent 2 reminders to reply or sort my issue. Last time it took one and half month to figure the payout bank details, infact just to update it in their system. This time I already send all 8 documents they requested last time and they requested one after the other. When you expect to receive the email that issue has been sorted, after 3 days or 4 days you get an email to submit one more document. There is NO PHONE support. Chat people are... they dont know anything.

I have collected payments from my customers of about $1600+ and all of a sudden they just closed my account witout payouts! They are holding my Money for almost a month and all of sudden they are telling me that my account is closed it'll take 1 year the funds to be released! Are they kidding! Those funds are paid to me via my clietns through them. They don't have the rights to hold the funds. That money belongs to me! Please take immidiete action as they try to stole my money! Mine is a small aviation book selling company out of my house. When I changed my business my web guy strongly wanted to use 2Checkout to process the cards. Shortly after they upgraded their entire platform and it all went down the rat-hole. Once they showed me the tricky ways to get to my orders page and print out my customers orders the packing slip came in 6 point font so you need a magnifying glass to read the shipping address. I complained several time with no response. So I can live with that but because of their "high security" because they are so concerned about their customers "safety" they make you change your password every 90 days. But you better write it down becaus e after 90 day forget it. I have tried a dozen attempts using every oddball password I can think of that i would not ever have used before and no luck. It was annoying enough when I would have to call them but now they discontinued their tech support number so they would not have to be bothered with their small low end piece of $#*! customers like me who just sell 100 or less books each month.

Never have I had so much pressure to buy other products than when I called in requesting support. I was passed to at least 3 people who I had to explain why I was calling each time before I got a "technician" who must have been a high pressure used car salesman in his former job. They kept insisting I buy one of their products. I told them over and over I just wanted my computer fixed. After 15 minutes of their hard sell and me getting very heated, they finally started fixing the issue. It took them another 45 minutes which was filled with more selling pitches. My husband had to intervene as I was getting very upset, I was charged $150 supposibly for a year service, however today I got an invoice for another $150 after less than a month and when I called in, they laid the guilt trip on me and wanted to know which technician I was unhappy with so they could "fire him". I had 3 technicians work on my computer and they all did the hard sell... They said they could "waive the $150 this month if I paid the $6.99 monthly fee". Their rates seem to differ each time you call. The only reason why I would even rate them a 1 star is because they answer their phone, Never will I recommend this company nor will I continue with this company again!

I did all my business documents legally, properly, paid for tax ID ready to receive payments on my new online store. 2Checkout ruined my plans, they declined me claiming "NON-COMPLIANT" and sent me a link of a ton of reasons why they decline applicants for their services. So now they have all my business documents, government ID and they said DECLINED. Now I have to worry that my personal and business info is in their possession and hope they dont use it. DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS SERVICE, They're no good and their CUSTOMER SERVICE is the worst there is.

I bought Malwarebytes through PayPal, but somehow 2Checkout dealt with processing the transaction. Malwarebytes was canceled, and I got a letter it was refunded. I NEVER got the refund, so no I've had to escalate the issue with PayPal as 2Checkout is ignoring my communications, asking where exactly IS my refund.
UPDATE: I was Refunded by PayPal under their customer protection soon after I filed a complaint. 2CO send it about 8 weeks later, after all my BAD reviews. That went to pay back PayPal. I won't change the rating because of the hassle I went though. Still a bad experience

They told me that I have to create a new account for new business URL.
And then they DO NOT want to ACCEPT my application.
I got DECLINED 3 times because they say "provide us offical bank document" then I have provided and then I got declined again and they were asking for "electric BILL".
I provided them an electric bill and they declined me again without any info!
The worst thing is that I have already one working account with the primary URL, so they DO NOT accept the same person.
Disappointing and frustrating.

Only because 0 stars is not possible. As an American company in USVI, I wasn't allowed other options that 2Checkout.
It took over 2 months to get our website approved. We missed Christmas season.
If you try to reconcile accounts, know that they will never match because 2Checkout reserves a rollover retainer and doesn't have proper reporting to match sales versus actual money received. A nightmare for our accounting department.
Only use if you have 5 articles to sell, they will block you if you add items without their approval. Go ahead and hold your breath for that approval process.
Lead time for response is 5-7 days. And try calling the "US" number versus International number - both are in Romania. Time difference will make it hard to speak to a manager.

I wrote them dozens of emails by now with ZERO repsonse.
I called their "customer support" they said "we don't assist merchants via call". Please, write an email.

Why do the f do the customers have to give their utility bill and identity document to purchase a simple fking thing? I recently went to a site to purchase a software subscription for my study. Unfortunately, I did not know they used 2checkout (I had faced 2checkout harassment in the past as well). After I completed the payment using my PayPal (which is configured for two-factor authentication) I did not get the subscription key of the software because I had to at first click on a link sent by 2checkout to validate that I am not a fraud. Ok fine, but after 20-30 mins they sent me another email that I have to send them my identity document and utility bill document (WT F) to verify my payment? I mean, seriously? As if I do not purchase online stuffs from other websites who uses gateways such as paypal express, stripe, klarna, square etc, they never harass their customers, they validate fraud or non-fraud payments through their technology. I will not share my private documentation over 30 pounds, this is not the first time 2checkout is doing this with my Paypal accout, they also did this with my bank cards as well.

DO NOT USE THIS MERCHANT. I used 2CheckOut for one of my business for almost 2 years we had many transactions until December 2016 when we had our first chargeback. Because of this one charge back 2CheckOut sent us an email and locked our account said we went over our 2% chargeback rate. They then sent us an email we have to send them back the funds via PayPal. We send them back the funds via Paypal and they still refused to open back our account. Also a note please make sure the % they state on the website is the actual % they take out they said they were charging us 5% in transaction fees when we calculated it they were charging us over 11% during our service period and even after many emails they never refunded us our agreed %.

Blocked purchase after payment confirmation. They ask for due diligence (additional papers) after you pay. Avoid them at any price. This can delay a purchase by 24 hours.
I think that Avangate aka 2checkout aka Verifone is one of the only payment processor that block payment for due diligence after a successful paypal payment confirmation. After i performed a paypal payment on the payment page, Avangate sent me link to my email address to confirm my paypal email address. This is done AFTER the reception of the successful payment from Paypal to confirm the payment! Then, even after the successful payment and the successful link confirmation they blocked the delivery of the service (a VPN service) because they wanted more due diligence.
I really wonder if all of that is legal because their process isn't mentioned upfront. Since they are located in the Netherlands, it would be worth notifying the authorities in the Netherlands. It is like going to the supermarket paying by a credit card, receiving a receipt for confirmation of payment and the cashier would keep all the items you have bought saying, "now we have to perform additional checkups and i will keep your items".
They are also lots of complaints on trustpilot about avangate. This also includes people using avangate as merchants & affiliates. I also had a problem with them as an affiliate.
Please, Please, Please DO NOT PUT 2CHECKOUT ON YOUR WEBSITE! They will keep holding on to your funds forever as a deposit. I don't know the fools that invested in this company, but I am sure their book balance is people's money and not theirs. They are not a legitimate company, you will not get money back from them. If someone asks for a chargeback, it takes from one year, I mean ONE YEAR to release the fund. They are like a FIXED DEPOSIT for your money. They will RUN DOWN your business. RUN from these people. They are FRAUDS! I finally got another payment gateway. Use Stripe and you will not regret it.

2Checkout is a horrible company. One will think Verifone buying them over will bring improvement but they got worse. These clowns closed my merchant account without explanation holding on to my sales proceed worth over $6,700 USD for 7 months running now. For good 7 months there was no chargeback, dispute or refund on my account making me wonder why my account was shut down in the first place and my hard earned money stolen from me.
Their policy states that once 6 months is gone by, they would pay me. But it's 7 months and counting and I've been sending countless emails to these clowns and I am yet to be paid. So I am calling out the entire team of 2Checkout, stop this fraudulent and shady acts. You owe me. I demand you pay me now so I can be done with you guys for good.
I don't appreciate the back and forth. My money is the only thin thread that connects you and me for now. Once you pay me up, you all can go to hell for all I care. I was also just terminated. Liked them at first. Spent 7 months and 15 grand setting up a subscription based forum, a first for my industry.
Quickly realized the people are so used to free info that the format was not going to work and switched it to free. Not feeling it was fair to keep the first 9 peoples monies who paid to get in while the new people got access for free I refunded the monies for the first nine subscribers. No one asked i just thought it was the right thing to do. 2CO sent me a threatening email I responded by email and spoke to a supervisor, walked her through the forum and told her why I gave the refunds and that I had considered moving the account to my main business that does 6 figures online per year. She said she understood and promised to call me back the next day. No call, I hate that, just an email that said I was terminated for too many charge backs. They listened so well.
I dont like the hold back of the monies on top of the use charges. They should have listened better, much better. Not impressed!
3-31-16 After several social media posts they offered to reopen my account and drop the hold back charge from 25% back to 5%. I had a CC termial to still run orders but if I did not I could have lost multiple days of business. I have decided not to continue as they hold to much power over a business I have built from scratch.

I have been a customer of 2checkout for over 10 years. I've never had major problems until now. I have lost over $ 1,200 of which there is no trace of it. Support closes tickets without explanation. Yes, everyone is right here, the worst support I've ever dealt with.
Long story short. I had a payout threshold of $ 500. | The following weeks were passing, the money on the account was increasing and the 2checkout was not being paid out. $ 2,500 was raised and I wrote to them that something was wrong. Some Ana Korkusuz, like a financial support leader, wrote back that they had some technical problems and were working on solving them. After some time (a few days) they sent about $ 1,200 and the remaining funds disappeared without a trace! I have evidence for everything from WHMCS's own billing system - I sent it to them. Wise Mrs. Ana of course closed the ticket without commenting on the matter. It looks like they started robbing customers or they had some kind of breakdown or hack and they don't want to admit it. They don't want to help you recover your lost money. If you don't want the same thing to happen to you, stay away from these thieves.
