My name is Jim McNair owner of McNair Cabinet Installations I have been with Yodle for about a month and it is worth every penny. My phone doesn't stop with good leads. We went from steady to being very busy. The customer service is second to none. I would recommend that any small businesses that are wanting to grow call Yodle.
Scott has been working very hard to make us happy. Follow up is outstanding. We have only be active for less than a month and the phone traffic has already picked up. We love the notification we get when a call comes from Yodle. So easy to track the calls and the customer gets that message before we answer that this call will be recorded. This helps our image. I can't wait to see the success we will have after another month. I will keep posting our progress
I have had a fantastic return on investment with Yodle. They have been very professional and doubled my business in 3 months. My marketing consultant Kerry has done a superb job at working with me and my budget to grow my company. I actually had so many phone calls I couldn't keep up. Thanks Kerry and Yodle!
Scam! Terrible ROI. No leads converted. Received almost all wrong number calls or telemarketers trying to sell me services related to my field. Very generic website. Have no ability to change concepts or have anything interesting. Their SEO is very poor and strategies are outdated. Their only strategy is to have your name and city making your information very robotic. They have 40 other of your competitors in the same city using the same algorithms. I told them I did not want to continue and they charged me again for another month, now I am dealing with accounting to try and refund my money. Then to cancel and keep your website you have to pay them $250 when you mad $0 money off $1,700 of worthless marketing...
My ROI on this has been tremendous. There is lots of snake oil out there... especially on the internet, but these guys have always delivered for me.
We had Yodle handle our law firm web marketing for almost a year. The results were far, FAR less than they promised. We made it clear we had a limited budget and they assured us they'd work with it. They had a law division which catered to law firms. We reasonably assumed they had an idea what they were doing.
1. They set up their landing website which was very generic, but never told us to provide them with content (i. E. profiles, FAQ's etc) until about 5 months later when I had called to ask them to change some things. The individual asked me why I had never provided content and I told him no one said I could or asked me to.
2. We have our own domain and website, but they did not use it and set up content on their own domain. We had been using Google Adwords for many months and Yodle never mentioned this was a problem, again, until about 5 months after they had started marketing with us. The service guy from Yodle explained that we were essentially competing with Yodle in our adwords buy -- NO ONE had mentioned this at Yodle when we started with them.
3. Because they set up their own domain (which they will not give ownership to you), Google ends up dropping your organic search ratings because they see two domains pointing to the same company.
I ended up cancelling them and raising hell. They finally settled out by refunding the last three months of service and running our ad-site with them for the next 3 months, but frankly, it was simply a wash for us. I really felt they had zero clue what they were doing with us.
On the other hand, if you have ABSOLUTELY NO WEB PRESENCE, then Yodle is probably a good start for you. Just make sure you know exactly what they are going to do and bargain them down in price. Their "plans" are very flexible in price and they will try to stick you into a high-priced plan, but don't go for it. You will find they will bend as much as 50% on those prices.
Go ahead and email me about it. I can show you bills and web logs. We have another service now and are very happy with it -- and the monthly rate is far less.
The staff at Yodle has been consistent, and professional. The services have been valuable and we have certainly experienced a true return on investment.
It was the most tremendous online experience that I have ever had. The showed me the objective on what they were going to try to accomplish. Modified my website within 3 days. I had 10 sales within 4 days later that pays for the service for the next 1 yr. By itself. Highly Recommend this team and process, very large bang for the buck!
Re: YODLE.com. A Yodle sales person called me and went through his presentation. He was a very pushy used car sales man type. When I said I have a $500 monthly budget he became very rude and said his company could not help me.
I was called many times and already had advertising so didn't need there help. Still calling and calling never listening to me as if things would change in 24 hours. I had a real bad experience with my pay per click advertising. Would find by early morning I was all clicked out for the day. Then guess who calls again, you got it yodle. Salesman says using yodle will improve my business by 10 to 20 thousand per month guarantee. Said you won't experience click bombing by people trying to click you out so you get no business. Hold on here now how did you know I'm being clicked out I never told you this was happening. If your reading this do you see who is the culprit. Now I figured I'm screwed unless I advertise with them or they will just click bomb you. They said you can use your own web site you had and nothing will change, not true they want $3700 down for 3 months and say they will design a web site for you because they know business. Guess again they suck I wanted out they lied and I had calls coming from areas I said I don't go. Then 3 weeks in to this they say my check was bad. I've never bounced a check in my life and know what I had in that account. They start saying or should I say accusing me of passing bad checks. Bank said there full of it and they were given the correct routing number. I read this number back to them 5 times. I'm so glad they wrote it wrong and after that I said piss off. Thank god I'm not burned for my money by there mistakes. The bank was called and made damm sure they couldn't get a dime from me after that crap. Called my friends at the FBI and other places I won't discuss but they would charge them if they touch my account. I'm pleased to say when I go back to advertising guess who is going to be watched for violating fraud laws by click bombing a business to destroy it for personal gain. You got it. Yes security can be placed on my Google account and yes they an watch when and who is doing this. Love to see them do it again. Yodle can find themselves in a prison cell if they mess with me again. I hope everybody learns from this and what an incompetent business yodle is. Don't ever use them and if you are getting clicked out on pay per click guess who is doing it!
Dale - my name is Radley Moss, Yodle's Director of Corporate Communications. Thank you for sharing your feedback but I think it's important that I quickly clarify a few things. Yodle does not "click bomb" any business. This is not a business practice that we would ever consider. I'm happy to talk to you if you would like further clarification around this. Beyond this, we recommend that small businesses use Yodle-designed websites because we specifically build them to maximize conversion. Finally, I'm surprised about your comments on your check bouncing because we generally only accept credit card as a form of payment. If you're open to it, can you please contact me at 212-542-5449 or rmoss@yodle.com? I'd like to get a better understanding of what happened during your experience with Yodle and to further address your concerns. Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon.
Talked to their representative for a while because I wanted to check out what they had to say. The representative would never answer my questions directly. He was very pushy. I ended by indicating that I would check them out and if they wanted to follow-up with me later they could call back.
They did and was extremely rude to my customer service representative and my wife. He ranted and made demands. No customer service skills what so ever. I checked them out and I would stay away. Same scam different name.
Da,
I'd like to apologize on behalf of Yodle for the lack of professionalism that you experienced. This is not the kind of behavior that we expect from any employee at Yodle. If you recall the name of the representative that you spoke to, do you mind emailing me the information at rmoss@yodle.com? I will then look into what happened here and will make sure that we address the situation appropriately.
Thanks,
Radley Moss
Director of Corporate Communications, Yodle
Absolutely terrible. Please do not waste your money. They do not help and you will have to fight them in order to stop them from charging your card. Their standard for a lead is low; any warm body that gives you a call is a lead. All but one of my 49 'leads' was a sale call and they thought that was good. Save your money!
Our Yodle Rep is very attentive and quick to respond to any concerns. In terms of customer service, I would rate Yodle a 5. I appreciate the weekly reports I receive and the ability to rate calls. For the most part I am happy with the leads they generate though I do find myself questioning if I am fully getting my money's worth and if Yodle is the best platform for our company. This is something I plan to look at closely the next few months.
So far so good... I've only been with Yodle for about 3 months and I've been looking for someone to get me phone calls, leads, and jobs for my business and Yodle is really doing it. Thanks Yodle!
Got a rude sales call. I asked the guy to explain exactly what they will do for our site and how much they will charge. The guy would NOT answer no matter how often I asked him. He would want me to take a video tour or visit this page or that page. Anything but straight answer my question: what will you do and how much will you charge? Then he started getting very rude.
Stay away from these guys. I now know exactly what they do after looking at their site. I've tried many companies like theirs before before I learned my lesson (slow learner I guess). They get you into an expensive, long term contract and they don't guarantee results. If they are so confident of what the results, they should charge per sale NOT per click (or supposed customer that visits your site which are mostly fraud).
THANK YOU YODLE. These guys really know what they are doing. This company has taken my business profits to new high s. I've tried a lot of companies, they promise you all sorts of help. Truth be told, they are only interested in taking your money and giving you mediocre services. Yodle ' s customer services stay in touch with you, they are truly interested in your company's best interest.
I have been with Yodle for years now and am very happy with their service. Kyle Zaffin is the gentleman I work with and he is very professional and knowledgable.
Kyle has made my online advertising experience wonderful and very profitable.
yodle.com is user friendly. We were bought on by Scott Rappaport who took his time explaining all of the service options. Scott is always available for call backs whenever you need more information/clarification. Technologically speaking I am a relative neophyte. But this did not stop Scott and his support staff from insuring that I understood the process and how to get the most out of their services. One of the keys to our successful roll out was insuring that my budget set me up for success and that I had the products I needed. Yodle.com is budget friendly and very effective at reaching the target audience. I highly recommend them.
We signed up with Yodle last fall and initially had a slow start with receiving decent leads. We contacted our marketing consultant to express our concerns and he was extremely helpful and attentive and worked with us on ideas to improve our site. I have always received great customer service and calls back immediately from our marketing consultant. They say that it takes at least 2-3 months to see results, and since the beginning of this year we have seen a significant increase in leads and job conversions. I would recommend using their services and if it does not work there is no long-term commitment.
Answer: I received a few leads that actually worked out. However, it wasn't enough to justify using them in the first place. The leads seemed to come in when I had signed up for their "google ads marketing" addition. So basically, the google ads provided 80%-100% of the leads, not Yodle. I Would've been better off spending my money on Google Ads written myself.
Answer: Yodle only cost me money and quite a bit of frustration! Tony
Answer: I have a spare wet-vac if you have extra cash laying about. Give me a call. It would be a better application of energy use.
Answer: Run Forest Run. They make promises. They will put wrong info on the web. Who spends 600.00 Before a return if you gat that. Run Forest Run
Answer: Dont do it.
Answer: If you get a website made. The search engine go by the 2nd letter in order for your site to be pulled up quickly. You would be better off doing your own social media marketing, joining the BBB and Y and white pages of phone book. Magnetic vehicle signs, etc. Need more free tips email me at rstoutmire@yahoo.com subject line Javier S. Contractor. Hope this help you but don't pay any company any money for any work. Rhonda S.
Todd - I'm Radley Moss, Director of Corporate Communications at Yodle. I'm very sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with the Yodle sales rep that you spoke to. I'm surprised that you received this reaction to your budget as we work with companies that have a wide array of budgets, which certainly includes $500 a month. If you have a spare minute, do you mind contacting me through Sitejabber or directly at rmoss@yodle.com to let me know who you spoke to? I will then further investigate the situation. Thank you.
