Wob

So I ordered a trilogy from World of Books, and when I ordered it, all the books had the same style of cover, but when they arrived, 2 of them had a different cover to the one I had ordered. The first one in the series was also said to be in 'very good condition' but it had multiple creases to the front and the spine, and half a pricing label was left on the front. I also found a receipt for W Smith books inside which stated that the book was bought for a lot less money New than I had paid for it used. This site seems like a bit of a scam to me. I won't be buying from them again!

The books I ordered were described as ‘good' and even ‘as new'. They definitely weren't! One was really dirty, one had a damaged cover, but at least when I complained and sent photographs WOB customer services were very good and sent me a partial refund very quickly. I will use them again and hope the descriptions are more accurate.

My one place to buy books. Massive selection of books and great offers. Speedy service, kept up to date with the delivery etc. Always been happy with the condition of the used books, never been let down.

While the choice is great and delivered very promptly, twice now the cases have been damaged and I have to go and purchase replacement cases, description is good condition so I assume it's the courier they choose,

I am disabled and unable to shop myself, so I require trustworthy online sites. I have been buying from WOB for many years and have always been pleased with my purchases. Wide range of good books at very competitive prices. Good delivery and excellent website. Highly recommended.

Have used WOB several times now and find it my goto site for books as well as cd and dvds that have attracted my attention, often golden oldies but some pretty new stuff as well.
The service is excellent, prices are often very good, and there is a healthy and changing selection to peruse or find that specific item, speaking of which I took a while to find the best way to search but I think I have it done pat now.
In conclusion very pleased to recommend.

This company don't even have the books they advertise ( fraud) they take your money, don't answer your emails unless it suits them! When you ask for a refund because your book has not arrived, they say a couple of days after they have had your money for a book they don't have, for several weeks. I suggest anyone who has had this or a similar experience you ask your bank for a charge back as it was a fraudulent transaction. Hopefully this company will be shut down sooner, rather than later. Don't buy anything from them, they are a fraudulent company.

I have purchased books from this company before, in my humble opinion, they are extremely good in terms of their pricing, service, delivery and back up, which is why I will be ordering from them again, as soon as I have finished the latest books from them.

Used WOB quite a few times now, easy to order, fast delivery, books as described, look just like new so great for Birthday gift. Can highly recommend, will always look on WOB 1st if looking for a book. Thank you

What has happened to WOB, used to be the best on the net but just lately, very poor customer service, missing items, poor packaging, cracked cases, dirty scratched media. Come on get your act together and get back to been number one again.

Never will i buy a new book again! WOBs prices are a fraction of what you would normally pay. The quality of their books is high and delivery is quick. Also, it's great way of recycling and helping out towards a greener future.

The service is very good - I'm informed when the order has been packed and dispatched.
I have only ordered second hand books so far, and have found wob to be good value for money.
The books are put loose fairly high density plastic bag, which wob stated are recyclable though not through my local council's kerbside collection. Hopefully this will change as I have contacted the council.
I appreciate the description of the condition of the books is very subjective, but I would sometimes question this; the way the books are packaged will not help the description. The cover (ie publisher edition etc) I receive also does not always match the one I selected. Neither of these critiques particularly bother me, and I am certain I will be ordering from wob in the future.

As a first time user was satisfied with the result. Would generally not consider buying a second hand book without handling it first. Since the item was out of print decided to try WOB. Item generally as described and condition acceptable, would use again.

First time I have used WOB. It does say books may be old so not surprised by browned pages but unsure if it will last long as a book I want to keep. I was not sure if I would receive a hard or paperback.
It is paper and not the same as the one shown when ordering.

Of the five books I ordered one had passages underlined with highlighter which I found really distracting, one was a bit grubby, two were in very good condition and one had obviously never been opened. There is such a large range of books at very good prices it's definitely worth a punt. I will order from WOB again.

Yet again, the plastic covers on the DVD's were broken by the time they were delivered. I have raised this problem with Wob before. All they need to do, is to pad the parcel with a little bubble wrap or corrugated cardboard. However, they obviously don't care enough about their customers to show this tiny bit of care.

Very happy to have discovered this site... the book bought today was recipes from Eliza Acton's Modern Cookery, one of the first cookery books. It makes for fascinating reading as well I hope for enjoyable eating. Shall be starting with the soups naturally!
