I am not happy with Wix.com. I have spent a lot of time trying to get the SEO section working, and after paying for my premium account, but still cannot get found on Google, or other search engines?. It is beyond frustrating, to now bordering on conspiracy. Actually, I just think that Wix.com is not as updated with their system, as they so loudly proclaim. But seriously, when you have paid for something, you expect to get the service that you paid for. I have other sites that I use for free and GET BETTER SERVICE, than I do with Wix.com. It is so crucial that its SEO editor is working, because why should anyone even bother to sign up with Wix.com and still can't be found in Google searches?. I have totally ran out of patience, because this has affected my business, as you can expect, in a negative way. If people can't find you on the internet, after publishing on Wix.com and still paying for their premium service, then what is the point?. I was also very angry when I found out that instead of the price that it has advertised for its premium plans, I was actually charged $10.00 more!. After contacting wix.com about that, they told me that the prices, that are advertised, is based on their yearly plan. I had opted for the monthly plan and now I am so glad that I did. I can't imagine going through all of this headache for a whole year, with Wix.com. It's system is archaic and not as good as it claims. It is very slow, and with lots of interruptions. I have actually spent a lot of time, trying to get its SEO editor working for me, just so that I can be found in Google searches and IT IS STILL NOT WORKING. This should have been the first feature that works, but it is not. Why am I paying for a website like Wix.com, but can't be found in search engines, because of Wix.com's SEO editor?. The longer that it takes for me to get found by search engines, after signing up with Wix.com, is a sign that this company, is not really up to the competition, no matter how loudly it touts its own claim. This says a lot about Wix.com and its advertising and its customer service.

These people they charge you after you turn off the auto renew option off, I tried to get ahold of them they are impossible to reach! Never again will I use this company. I see that many people have had the same issue! Stay away from these people.
After hiring loads of local Chinese SEO experts and buying a. Cn domain, my Wix website still can't be properly indexed in Baidu search engine (the equivalent of Google in China). The worst thing is, Wix websites can't be transferred elsewhere so the only way of creating the website on another server is to build it again from scratch. If you plan to ever have business in China, DON'T use Wix.
I thought I was going crazy - do not pay for premium. I honestly feel scammed by what I was led to believe to be an otherwise legitimate business. I was making personal financial/budget adjustments, so I turned auto-renewal off so that when my paid-for year ended, it would cancel and I would live without the premium benefits. I was very shocked and angry when I found out after I could no longer get a refund that my plan had auto-renewed. OK, I turned it off AGAIN, made a note to check about a month before it would cancel, thinking I had somehow mistakenly forgotten the last time (I hadn't - there was a warning of renewal in my spam folder, however I checked my old emails, and I HAD IN FACT turned off auto renewal previously). Well, it's that time of year again, and what shows up in another folder of my email (pictured)? A warning that my plan will renew soon. Wix NEEDS to fix this. There is no reason I should be worrying about whether my account is no longer cancelled... after cancelling and receiving confirmation of said cancellation nearly a year ago (also pictured). Yes, I will agree the website builder is nice, easy to use, has great options. But it's not worth this trouble. Give your money to a more honest business. This is not how you should treat your customers. Wix is great if you love the interface and don't plan on cancelling, ever. I will never, ever pay for a service through Wix again.
Beware of Wix! I switched to wordpress because Wix does not quite give me the look I wanted for my website. I turned auto renew OFF two months before renewal was due. They still took the money off my credit card and then denied me a refund when I contacted them. Bad bad company!
Purchased a premium plan for one year at a cost of INR372 per month - or INR4450 (approx) per year. All was well until the renewal for the second year - when I was charged 3.5 times the above (INR*******)! NOWHERE on their website, THEN OR NOW does it state - in fine print or bold, that the subscription plan declared on their website is for ONE YEAR ONLY! Definitely CAVEAT EMPTOR!
I was using wix for free for over 7 years as their free plan, and when I upgraded to their premium plan, it promised everything and gave me nothing but the same things as the free plan. The only thing it did was add my url onto their site but if I wanted anything extra, I still had to pay. Any new customers that try to contact me just get disappeared and lost and I have had no success with contacting people. I'm planning on moving my site over to Weebly.com or somewhere else. Wix is no good! Sorry wix!
I closed a small business last year while it was under a one year subscription and attempted to cancel my subscriptions immediately. I had a Premium Plan, Domain Name and eMail. With all online accounts subject to renewal I always turn off the 'auto-renewal', as I had with WIX. They ignored this and debited my bank account with another year's subscription. In other words they stole money from me. I've had to cancel my card at great inconvenience. After I finish writing this I will proceed to write to the American Ombudsman. I encourage all those that have been bitten to do the same. For the others contemplating using this company then don't. Also publish your complaints on fb whenever possible. We may not be able to put the senior officers in prison but it will help to make people aware of their 'shonky' operation. Note also tha their product is plagued with bugs. Please note, I tried to call the phone number above and it is invalid. Trying the support email next.
I've never done any business with WIX but out of the blue they started billing my credit card for a subscription I never signed up for. In fact I had never even heard of WIX until until they started billing me. I've reported them to my states AG office for fraud.
As part of the premium plan, Wix was supposed to become the registrar for one of my domains. They never transferred the domain from the old registrar, and it lapsed. When the website went dark, I tried to contact them to get the problem corrected.
At this point I discovered that it is absolutely impossible to reach Wix customer service for any reason. There is no email, no phone. They have a chat service, but it is manned by bots that can't answer even simple questions.
I asked for a refund, since they didn't provide the service they advertised. Never got one.

For trial as long as you like... best for small business... only 10 $ per month... only $20 per month... Unresponsive links on my site, content that keeps moving around even after it's been fixed repeatedly, customer service that refuses to accept responsibility for system glitches if I can even get customer service to respond, nickle and dime me to death for damned near everything useful... what's to like? Save yourself an enormous amount of time and your hard-earned money by going elsewhere. I am not positively impressed to say the least.
I have had a WIX account for 3 years and their web sites are cool to look at. But no one will ever know about the web site. I tried all the techniques. Still, I never gained google's notice unless people knew to use my name. Now that I want to cancel my auto billing, the payment page will not load. I have tried to delete my credit card for 6 weeks, but have never gotten the link to load. They just rebilled me despite my besst efforts to leave them. Sickening and maddening.
They will hound you for credit card numbers, renewals, payment in advance, and then use deceptive tactics to keep you renewing. When names did not match up for site and service, I was hoodwinked into renewing for 3 years in advance for a domain I never used and did not want. They harassed me with over 4 renewal notices, and even after I deliberately did not renew, created a narrative that looked as if it was for another service with them. When it was discovered, they refused to refund, giving no reason after 3 attempts (they have only a call back and email which they carefully screen to avoid accountability). Also, their emails and other web services are marginal, since they have them arranged to maximize profits, multi-tasking servers so that email is tagged as spam quickly. This actually loses your customers for you. Stay away.
For my thirteenth birthday i bought the "premium" so that i could connect my domain that i bought to wix because its such a easy editor! Well, it told me $10 for a year so ithought i had a done deal. I bought it and then charged me $137! Even if it was a mistake thats more that 10 dollars a month plus tax! Then, it told me they would send me an email within two days letting me know that my website would be up, i waited TWO WEEKS with my website bage saying "website being built, check back in later." then, you wont beleive it, THEY DISSCONECTED MY WEBSITE FROM THEIR SERVERS! My webstie just said to "connect your domain to a website, get started here at godaddys free editor!" the worst thing. YOU CANT CONTACT ANYONE FROM WIX!
Do not sign up with this company; they automatically sign you up for $168 per auto renewal when you decline this when initially signing up. They claim they send notifications on the renewal which is a complete lie. Their support is awful; it is impossible to contact their billing department.
If you're looking to play around and make a personal website or blog for free, this would be the perfect place to start--before you decide if you want to spend money. Once you decide, you want to spend money to get a domain. I'd suggest GoDaddy.

Then I tried this morning, and there is a new recording that saids that they will next be open on Tuesday feb Feb 21st! So. Fuck. Seriously. We can't afford to rebuild our whole site again with another service! And i've/we've had WIX for over 6yrs now..

Answer: One of the things that really bother me with Wix (besides them being so focused on extracting money from their customers that they tend to forget about everything else) is that they make these changes and do not care one bit to inform their customers that they are going to do this, so all of the sudden one has a site that doesn't function and unless one keeps checking daily whether everything still works as it should, one end up having problems. That's one of the reasons why I'm out and do not plan to use them much longer.
