There's not much to say beyond the fact that whoever is contracted with WM in our area never actually collected our garbage, despite several assurances that pickup would be rescheduled. Like the material WM deals with, it was very satisfying to dump them.
I would never recommend this company for trash service. I have been trying to get my refund for 2 1/2 months. Every time I call they tell me the same thing, it's being processed. Be careful of this company!
It's been over 2 weeks since my trash has been picked up! I'm paid in full and waited 40 minutes to speak with someone with no explanation as to why the trash hasn't been picked led up! Was told yesterday he would send someone over, still have yet to have my trash picked up! No credit was given or anything just an I'm sorry! My trash is completely over flowing and now I'm having to place bags on the ground around it. Animals getting into the trash and spreading it across my yard! In the many years of trash service this is easily the worst! Photo below was 2 days ago before more trash had been added!
Constant emails telling me the schedule has changed an my pick up will occur tomorrow - then tomorrow, the same thing. Supposed to be three times per week, but have had only one actual pick up in 19 days... but I am sure it will happen tomorrow!
So online, my waste management account says my BILL is $32, but I just got my email bill, and it's $90 something. This is the second month in a row that my billing has been messed up. What is going on with this company?

If I could give them a half star I would afford or start would be perfect. Lots of promises, no deliveries. Trash is piled up outside my dumpster for 3 weeks now they tell me to be picked up every day not happening. Don't believe it... Stay away
I love how they wait until 30 minutes before their office closes before sending out an email saying your trash is gonna be delayed 1 week, 1 WEEK!. So I'm expected to NOT throw anything away or settle for bags of trash on my property. Then the scammers charge for those! Won't be making that quarterly payment either!
I have never in my life yelled at a customer service agent until Waste Management. After not picking up our trash for 4 months, they offered to refund us $14. I will be pursuing legal action against them, and if anyone else who has been taken advantage of by them would like to join me, please reach out. After reading through reviews, it seems as though this entire company is nothing but a scam used to take money from people and have such horrible customer service that people are incapable of cancelling. This company does nothing but steal from their customers and treat them horribly.
So I've been having nothing but trouble with this company. I put my garbage out today and didn't get picked up again. So I called and asked what's going on can I get a credit he didn't pick up my garbage again and they said no because I was over I was like what so I went out there and I looked and you could see 1 1/16 of an inch of the bag showing I was like really I mean I had a total of two of the white kitchen bags in my garbage can that was it nothing else but I'm not allowed to put a rock or a strap or anything to hold the lid closed. I could push on that with one finger in the lid would close. I mean, if that's not petty, I don't know what is I mean come on. Then to top it off they won't give me a credit. The problem is we are stuck they are the only garbage company around and they know it. Basically they can get away with whatever they want.
Not only do they often miss days, they don't have anyone to answer their phones. Went through the automated phone tree to report a missing bin but all it did was reformed to their website. I guess I can no longer recycle. I'm so tired of these lackeys that literally gave the easiest job in the entire world, get paid a fortune and still can't perform a job that simply requires sitting down! I wish there were a better service available.
I've had WM since 2/4/23. My weekly trash service has been picked up TWICE! They have reimbursed me $12.36 - instead of 5 1/2 months worth of missed pickups.
As every other review will tell you, just don't use them. Customer service is non-existent. Lisa is the virtual bot that "helps" you when you call customer support, but it's like they've actually paid $$$ to design the using the phone, to be impossible!
What's worse - when you log in to your service account, it shows 100% perfect weekly service. They have a service manager named Shelly, that actually called me about the ongoing issue. Shelly cannot be reached, even when you directly ask for her. So getting any help, or even reimbursed properly, is truly IMPOSSIBLE!
If I could give them zero stars I would. Miss more scheduled pick-ups than they show up for without any advanced warning. Driver illegally backs down my through street causing a dangerous situation. They often leave the can in the middle of the road when they actually do show up. I live in an area with lots of bears, have to pick up my garbage from mine and my neighbors yard at least a couple times a moth because they don't come as schedules. Cannot get anyone on the phone. Save your money!
Entered into a long term contract and price constantly increased. By the end we were paying three times what another company charged us for the same exact service. Account rep was of absolutely zero help. The company refused to budge on their pricing and threatened legal action if we attempted to end our contract early. Never again. I'll eat my trash before I pay them a dime.
I used WM for over a dozen years. They slowly creep your bill up, I stupidly did not check their competitors price until about a year ago and found they were charging almost 4 times the amount of comparable services! I complained, got it lowered some, price went up again...'ooops sorry', they will guarantee the last year of my contract at a certain price, lasted a couple of months, went up again! Told them to come get the dumpster! I'm giving the short version, I wasted WAY too much time on the phone trying to resolve, BAD customer service. Stay away, don't sign a 3 year contract!
I wish I would have seen these reviews before using Waste Management. Absolutely horrible experience. Missed pick ups, No answer to inquiries or response to email complaints. No apology for terrible sub par service. Almost as if you should expect this type of service.
I ordered a dumpster to clean out my dad's house when he passed. They gave me a 13 hour window of when they would drop it off (ridiculous)!
We waited around all day and they never showed up or dropped off the dumpster. And good luck getting ahold of them. I called several times and had to wait on hold, generally 20-30 minutes every time. And then they would transfer me to a different department. I never got an answer from anybody about what happened and why it didn't get delivered. I guess this is the kind of service you get from WM when you spend $600 for a dumpster.
Now I need to find a different solution and try to get my money back. Horrible, horrible company!

We were being charged so much higher than other companies in our local area so we decided to cancel our service. That is when the real problems began. To leave they charge you $75 just to pickup their container! Also we paid the final invoice 2 weeks before it was due and verified funds were taken out of our bank yet still received another bill a month later for paying the final bill late! Then to reach a representative takes over an hour to reach a live person! Terrible!

They have a crappy automated system their hold times are lengthy and their service is horrible. Be simpler to just drive it to the dump yourself
Once again. Waste Management has let me down. No pick-up service today. They claim construction on my road. Hmmm... according to my neighbors, ( we live on a dead-end St.) the road was never shut down today. It's a quiet residential neighborhood. Contractors were letting drivers get by, you simply needed patience.
They didn't pick up my trash although it was out there for pick up. Called everyday to get a recovery truck but no one shows up! Worst company with a lying staff! Avoid at all cost! Waste Management of Leeds Alabama!
Answer: Apparently it is how they conduct business by being as rude and unethical as possible. I hope they did not steal from you as well.
