Bought two A03 phones from our local verizon store. Had problems from Day one. If i went beyond the wifi range of my home, i could not make anything but Emergency Calls. By the time i went through customer service 4 times, where they reset the system of our phones, 3 months elapsed. Was given the 611 Loyalty Department for some kind of resolution. This was a complete waste of my time because over the 3 months I tried to deal with customer service, i had ammassed over $800.00 in cost for Every Product involved, and for getting rid of the A03's and upgrading to the Pixel 7 Pro. (Pro yet to be determined). But the Loyalty department representative i spoke with showed very little care as to my situation and gave us a Whopping $95.00 credit on my next bill. If I ever have the need to change. Phones again, i can assure you it will not be with Verizon. No wonder as i just yesterday found out that my 3 best friends, (Neighbors) All Have AT&T. Wish i had of known that 90 days ago. Just an FYI to anyone living in the Northeastern part of Georgia. But my advice to anyone shopping for a new phone. Do your homework well in advance of what type of phone you purchase, who the provider is and their service record in your area. Also check the Ratings and Reviews of any phone you think you might want to purchase. Just checked verizon. Out of 746 Reviews, They Got A 1.3 out of 5 Star Rating. Hindsight is 20/20. And I do have Proof of Purchase. Never put your phone on auto pay from a Debit or Credit Card. As i have learned, know what you are paying before you pay for it. PSS. I was asked 5 times through customer service if i wanted the Home Protection Package and Declined it every time. When i went through my receipt, there it was. A note saying Thank You For Your Home Protection Package. Moral Fiber is out the window as far as i am concerned. And i thought Used Car Salesmen or women got a Bad Rap...

It was a great opportunity for me to own a Samsung S9 the Verizon promotions department said. I was really happy with my S7. It was a trade in your old phone and receive 200.00 off. So I bit, I explained to them I was going to trade in my S5 and would that still be elgible and was told yes. I bit paid the sales tax right away and a day or two later I started the trade in process. I found out they would only give me 30.00 for the phone. I called Verizon to make sure we were still on the same page and they mentioned their were no notes concerning my arrangement for the S5 tradein and that's was all I would get. I said cancel my order right now, it was a weekend and they had not processed the order yet. He said hold on I will talk to my supervisor, when he came back he said we will make up the difference of 170.00 and credit your account right now if you will go through with this. I agreed. Four days later I received my phone, when I checked to see if my account had been credited it had not been. I called again and again they said that they had no record of the conversation and said supervisors can not make deals like that. However the service person said she would check with her supervisor and see if he had any ideas. He said the best he could do is give me an extra 30.00 for my S5 when it arrived. That was it I said I am done, I will send the phone back, I came to find out that your 14 days starts from the day you placed the order. It had taken 7 days to get the phone from my order date and it would take 3 days to get back, what a deal, I had to rush out while I was on vacation and find a post office to mail it back. We at this point still have not finished the process, but I will never again order a phone from Verizon, I am at this point not even sure I want to remain there customer. I will buy my phones third party in the future. Three times in a row I received promises from them that they denied they gave or could give. So in conclusion my trust in at least there sales department is gone.

Verizon sales offices, especially their VECTRA stores in California are deceptive sales people who will get you into all addons and conveniently forget to use all the information they put into the computer on you to register your phone and get your credit - when it comes to service or warranties. They upsold me on a Pelican case and liquid screen cover - which I usually would do on my own, but wanted it done right - so then I let them do it in store - only to learn later that no warranties are registered for their addons and my addons have to all be opened and registered by me - though the salesperson had all the boxes and paperwork when the phone parts and accessories were opened and assembled. AVOID VERIZON - DO ALL YOURSELF THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO DO. GO CHECK OUT OTHER CARRIERS FIRST. Even when I called in with the receipts 5-6 months after buying the phone - the companies would not stand behind it and said that I had to register everything. I explained that the sales person did all the accessories - and they said it was on me to make the sales person get the paper work registered. :( Life lesson learned - avoid VERIZON LOCAL STORES - "IF" YOU have to use Verizon because of their monopolies of rural areas.

I would rather die from not being able to call 911 than ever have Verizon again. Why? Well...

I ordered FiOS 4 times. They delivered DSL. They put a FiOS box on the side of the place I was at, sold it to some other people there, but never signed me up even thought I was calling them about it. The phone line they gave me disconnected calls all the time, and even though it was a transferred number that got very few wrong calls before, it suddenly had 3 or 4 wrong numbers a day. I could never call their support from that phone because I would get disconnected. Also, emailing, using their web site, and even calling from other phones got no positive results. When I finally canceled, I told them I wanted to pay my final bill online. They said that was fine, but then locked me out of my online account! I had packed away my entire life for 6 months, and had to contact them repeatedly to get my account number so I could make a payment. Their online system refused this after that finally sent me the account number, so I mailed in a payment. Then, two months after deposing my check, they sent me to collections for non-payment! Why? Because they sent me the wrong account number! The amount they wanted stayed the same, even before I canceled I had the estimated amount, and it was right, but the account number was wrong. What does all this tell me? They cross-linked my phone with some other phone, which is why I suddenly got the crappiest service in the world, and after a year of complaints, they never fixed it.

That is why I never want anything to do with Verizon again.

I want to give them ZERO stars. Heck, negative 5 stars.

Absolutely horrible!
December 17, 2023

Recently I thought I would give Verizon a try and boy was that a mistake. The service is absolutely horrible. You can never get 5G ultra wideband hardly ever no matter how much you pay and no matter what plan you're on. Even some of the discount cell carriers have better service than Verizon and to top it off, their website doesn't work, the app doesn't work, and I cannot get into anything to even get a port pin and when I finally get somebody in India they always lie and say they're going to call me back on such and such day for either a refund which never happened or to help me set up my account which never happened or to give me a port pin which also never happened. Verizon has become nothing more than a completely worthless criminal ripoff enterprise. Their business plan is to focus on dumbed down and extremely annoying polished glossy marketing campaigns while they steal your money. Then I'm told that I can't set up an account until I've had service for at least 30 days but that was another lie. It's been 33 days now and it still doesn't recognize half of the information that's in my account. However, their system sure had no problem recognizing who I am and my number when it came time to extort money from me. If you do the research you will see that Verizon has the highest churn rate of any of the major carriers. For those that don't know what churn means it means that people that are leaving Verizon and going elsewhere. Don't waste your money and save yourself a tremendous amount of stress anger and anguish by not having anything at all whatsoever to do with Verizon or it's subsidiaries. I have never in my entire life dealt with a more horrible, crooked, and dishonest company then verizon. And at 58, that saying something. Do your research and read as many reviews as you possibly can relating to the carrier you were thinking about getting cell service from. All they really provide is 4G LTE to most everyone. I have one of the best phones you can purchase and I am in according to multiple sources in an excellent area for 5G ultra wide but I don't even get 5G from Verizon here or anywhere else I go which is a lot of different places.

Worst customer service, lack of professionalism
November 22, 2021

They left me without a phone, was hanged up many times, finally I spoke to someone to finish My claim for my note 20 ultra 5g, the phone turned out to be in backorder in Asurion, I worked mostly from my phone so I called to ask them to please send me a loaner phone that I could use in the mean time while they get my phone, which I had just paid 400 for my Verizon bill and 250 for Asurion deductible, the lady tried to sell me insurance for all my house electronics and trying to get me to get a samsung flip and forget about my note 20 ultra, to the point to were I felt bad and harassed, after 30 mins of me saying no ma'am I will not give up on my note 20 ultra, she said well there is nothing I can do, we do not do loaner phones and the 20 ultra is on backorder so you, would have to wait, now about that insurance and I said no thank you I don't need any more electronics on back order, she just hanged up on me, and verizon wireless says there is nothing they can do, even tho they offer the insurance, you agree on verizons page, you pay Verizon every month for it, they say sorry can't help and if they hanged up on you is because you must be catching them at a bad time, this is unbelievable how unprofessional I have been treated by this 2 so called professional companies.

I was basically accused of theft! This is incredible. On the 20 th of September I went in to this store to simply exchange a charging cable for my "Verizon" Elliptical tablet which I purchased from Verizon. I was met at the door by BRIAN, (Mr. Personality)! What a $#*! face he wore, so anyways I explained my problem and that the cable wasn't charging my tablet. After 15 minutes of waiting I asked him "what was taking so long to exchange a cable?", So he mumbled back "just be patient".! I said what? And he didn't answer. And then it began. So, Mr. Personality and I exchanged some words and then he calls his "General Manager" JIM (Chizzle Chest). So, JIM walks over all pumped up, chest all out, like he was expecting me to be intimidated or "something". Ha I've seen woman with bigger biceps and chests in my "Special Ops Group,". This JIM was a real piece of work. So after 3 minutes of torture trying to listen to his sorry $#*! explanation he basically said, "it's taking so long because we can't find when you purchased the charger" and I'm not saying you stole it but"...! I'm thinking is this guy (JIM) trying to insinuate that "I stole this cheap $#*! charging piece of wire worth about $5.00? I just about had it at that point and left. End of story... Hey, Chizzle Chest I'm on Facebook find me, my address and information is available. If you even think for one second that I am intimidated by you or Mr. Personality you are highly misguided. I'm a military veteran, who served this great country and community for 23 years in a uniform. I'm a black and brown in Aikido, $#*!o Ryu and Enshin karate. I could take you and Brian (Mr. Personality) both together in your store even at my age of 59! Never underestimate one's silver colored hair for being old and out if shape my dear boy. See you soon, hopefully.

I have verizon fios, which works pretty well unless something goes wrong. In this case i moved and had my services transferred to my new address. The technician installed one, ONE phone jack and yet entered he installed 3 on his work order. Now who needs 3 phone jacks? Not a word was said during installtion which was supposed to be free. Imagine my shock when i received my first bill! I was being charged $180 for 3 phone jacks. I immediately went online to ver in billing of course. Izon contact o chat, since i have a hearing disability on the phone. After a frustrating 45 minutes of being told at 5:30 a.m. all "agent are busy try later", i finally got someone on chat.in billing of course. He said you had 3 jacks installed and blew me off, disconnect. I then spent 20 more minutes trying to get another agent on chat. This time it was tech support, go figure. This person kept me on hold for over 2 hours while "checking" with the "away team" after 2 and one half fruitless hours i was told, "oh that tech is off today and unreachable". Smh. I asked for a supervisor, and was put on hold again for over 20 minutes to be told "call back tomorrow after we talk to the technician"! Are you kidding me? I am the customer i know what was installed and not installed. Its easy enough for tech support to send a signal to the jack and see there is only one. But i got "sorry, too bad, call tomorrow. Nothing we can do". Needless to say i did not call b or chat back. I filed a complaint with the FCC for fraudulent charges. Verizon customer support is horrible, you either wait forever to get someone or they claim they cannot do anything. Wasted 4 hours with incompetents.

Verizon started out rough when I switched and saleman lied about an iPhone from my AT&T account being compatible. After my wife was not receiving texts or phone calls Verizon said it was a phone issue and we took it to the Apple store where we found it was not compatible. We had to buy a new phone... most recently I inquired about the 5G internet in a chat asking if it was compatible with my router. They answered my question and I ended the chat. A few minutes later I received an email confirming my order for the 5G internet. I called immediately and they said as long as I didn't sign anything it will fall off. I checked my account after the call and there was a contract with my name on the signature line. I called again and they said it was too late to stop the modem from shipping out and they would try to stop it. The modem shipped but never arrived. I checked a few days later and there were charges for activation on my account and for service. I had too call again and they assured me they would not be on the bill. When I got my next bill there was still an activation charge so I had to call yet again. They stated it would be removed and it was not so i had to call a fifth time. The service rep refused to connect me with a manager and said since the modem was not returned by UPS they could not refund me and to call back again next week. I asked again to speak to a manager and after a 30 minute wait of dead air the same rep came back on stating they would remove the charge. I finally hung up thinking this was finally over and I received and email stating to return the equipment I had never received of pay $200. I looked at the tracking and it states delayed a month after it shipped with no indication when it would go back to Verizon. I will now have to call yet again. If it were not costly and a pain to switch 6 phones I would have canceled immediately. I absolutely despise this company and will switch as soon as convenient.

Scam
October 19, 2022

So my wife and I have been Verizon customers for quite a few years now and it was time to get our 9yr old twins a phone. We went to a Verizon location in Burlington WI. Where we upgraded my phone to an iPhone, my wife got the new Samsung s22 which was free with another Samsung trade in and my kids got last year's Samsung s20fe phones which were supposed to be free with new activation. After spending almost $700 ($667.78) to be exact in store for "free phone's" our phone bill went up over $100. We went from $150mo. To $281mo. For 4 phones when we were told our plan would only go up $18. So our next bill was $281. A $131 increase from what they told us to add 2 lines to an existing plan. Now we got another bill for $450 which no one at Verizon can explain or tell us where our money went or what it was for. If that isn't enough, my 9yr old daughters number was still connected to another phone so we had strangers calling and threatening us. It was like pulling teeth to get them to give me a new number for my daughter without charging me activation and setup fees to make the change when it was clearly Verizon's fault. This is 100% unacceptable. Now at almost $1,500.00 within 2 months we still have no answers and we've lost an entire mortgage payment. That's pretty expensive for 2 "free" phones. This company is a total SCAM! I would never go with this company even if they were the only one! I would seriously think twice before even considering Verizon. Us cellular is much more transparent with there bill and will not fluctuate every month like Verizon. Plus US Cellular's family plan is cheaper even without all the "discounts" Verizon offers. Seriously regret going with this company. Sad to see this is how they treat former military members.
