Paid my $20.00 asked me a ton of questions about the artwork that I uploaded multiple photos of. Then proceeded to tell me what I already wrote down in the questionnaire and some random info on a totally unrelated artist! When I wrote back to them, they asked for more information from me, wait, what exactly was I paying them for? Don't bother, do your own research or pay something substantial for a REAL appraisal. Don't waste your time and money with this company... Must be linked to Antiques road show, another rip off!

The experts are far from experts. They use opinions, tribal/google knowledge, and "probablies" to give you their "value". I'm not just a salty customer. I have proof their valuations are bogus.

Your items were reviewed by two separate specialists, both with many years experience in appraising and determining fakes from real. Our Tribal art specialist has travelled extensive through Africa and worldwide, where the selling of 'authentic' goods is prevalent. While it is regrettable your items, whilst decorative, are not authentic, this does not make us bogus or our reports inaccurate.

I had them appraise a table that's been in our family since the 60's and we all know it's worth more than $300. They said it was made up of two planks? It's obviously one solid piece of wood and I sent them enough photos to go by. Not enough information from them. They said it was a bur wood bench? It's a Solid heavy TABLE! Not worth the money at all. I will no longer use them.

We provide auction estimates, which will always be lower than private sales values, but can of course be exceeded during the right sale, on the right day. Over the years I have found these appraisals to be less and less helpful. Aside from the appraiser telling me my tablecloth was of Eastern European influence, it gave no other insight into the item. Often the appraisal that I received back contains much of the same information that I submitted in my appraisal request.

I have used this service multiple times to evaluate my collection for insurance purposes, and also to appraise potential additions. Not only is the service very fast, the information and comments from these experts is above and beyond what you'd expect for the cost involved. Also, the customer service is super. I recommend this one of a kind service to anyone who needs to value an existing collection or get an appraisal for potential buying / bidding purposes.
I realize that finding a comparable item to mine is difficult. I am also aware of how easy it would be for you to locate the exact guitar I purchased, with the information provided in the details. It seems to me that someone just looked up the guitar, found my purchase price where it is marked "out of stock" and provided my valuation based entirely on that information. I could, of course be wrong.
They evaluated an inherited silver tea and coffee set. I feared it might be silver plated but hoped it might have some value. They identified the company that manufactured the silver, the approximate year made and purchased, both of which lined up with family history. They also provided a useful overview of market conditions - which were not great, but also lined up with general info we had gathered from the web. The data entry and photo uploads were easy, and they emailed requesting more info, showing their attentiveness and efforts to get it right. Would use again.

I needed 10 appraisals and paid $100. They said they would have the appraisals done within 48 hours. Since I submitted them on a Friday, I didn't expect them until Monday. But, sure enough, on Sunday, I received all the appraisals as promised. And all of them were thorough and detailed. As per our private correspondence our specialist provided a comprehensive report, including information on the artist who originated the method used to create your item, concluding that further investigation would be needed to discover insight on the far less known artist who created your piece.
As you correctly point out, we do not carry out research valuations, these being significantly more costly than our modest fee. Our service is to value your item, which we have done.
We respectfully suggest you were hoping for a research valuation for a low fee and are now penalising us with a negative review for simply doing our job; to Value your Stuff!
Upon your request for further information, we offered to respond to any specific questions you may have, however you were unable to tell us what you wished to know.
